Reasonable prices with occasional very good finds. They update their stock often and have a decent amount of furniture. Furniture goes down in price 75% after a few days--if it's still there that is. A lot of the good items go quickly. It's relatively clean and organized inside for a thrift store. Staff are efficient, and the donation center furniture pickup staff are kind to help you load it into your car or truck. Sometimes they need some direction but are happy to help. I have had an incident once where they dropped a dresser onto the ground but no one was hurt and so that was ok and mistakes happen. read more

I am so MAD! I went here with my son and I bought a dog crate (or so I thought) in the box for $20. When we got home and opened the box it was filled with old picture frames. When I called I was told there is nothing they can do because of their no refund no return policy. WTF! So I lost $20 because of this. They said if I had opened the box before leaving the store they could've done something WHY would I open a sealed box before leaving the store?????? read more

this year in 2025 is the worst year ever for shopping at the Goodwill in Cicero, New York Usually, there is some jewelry and when there is it's way overpriced over four dollars They have a taped box of ornaments for $25.29. You don't know if they're broken or not because you can't open the box. I saw a glass butter dish tape together, and I felt around the top base and it was chipped . There was a box of greeting cards and it was taped, made to look like it was full of cards and it wasn't Used shirts should not be over three dollars You know there are so many people out there who depend on a lower budget and I give as much as possible to people in need isn't that what these thrift stores are supposed to be about? Instead, they're just throwing things on the shelf not in any order, broken things heavy things on fragile things breaking things at the register because they're in a hurry We need a change in this town other Goodwill's out of state are not like this all we get here in Syracuse is crap read more

Goodwill has become such a fraud!!! On several occasions I have seen multiple items priced OVER retail which is ridiculous in intself. Today takes the cake though. I purchased what i thought was a screen enclosure for a garage that the box had been taped closed in several spots so I figured that during pricing someone at least checked and taped the box closed, but nope. I get home open the box and no screen just rods. Usually not a big deal but not with Goodwill because they have a no refund, no exceptions policy. How the hell can you not refund someone's money when what they purchased is not in the box? Its not like the company would be losing money as these items were donated for free. BOYCOTT GOODWILL!!! Visited today to shop for bargains and drop off a donation. Easy going and casual atmosphere. Well stocked with clothes of quality. Cashier was both friendly and efficient. The Donation Section was quite different, as in 180 degrees different. Almost hostile, as if we were there to steal rather than to donate. Never been treated like this before when giving stuff away! Both people we encountered had nasty and confrontational attitudes. Will never visit this section of the facility again. read more

A couple Sundays ago I was in the woman's pajamas area and noticed what seemed to be yoga pants covered in blood in the frontal area. Disgusting sight to see at goodwill. Goodwill shouldn't take clothes with obvious stains on them! Or even put them out! Do better goodwill. read more

It is quite obvious that some of the staff members are taking the quality merchandise for themselves to resell on ebay or other online sites. I too shopped the Cicero Goodwill for the past few years, and the merchandise did go from offering a very nice, quality selection of items, to very poor and skimpy pickings (that are far too over priced). I do believe that some workers at the store should be monitored and fired for picking through items and carrying them off to do well for themselves. Management should investigate the behavior of certain staff members who go through the donations for their own self gain. It is questionable if these few profiteers are even paying for the items they acquire; or are they cheating the store and its customers by freely taking donations to stock their own online stores? read more

I agree with the other reviews. When it first opened, the stuff was great and cheap. Before long, that changed. I rarely get anything anymore and the prices are very high. I have seen quite a few things priced higher than the stores. The new pricing system is awful! There's no more weekly 1/2 price color. I do better at the Salvation Army! read more

This is my normally favorite goodwill in the area however, I am finding myself to be quite annoyed with some of the members of the Staff. It is my understanding that they are not allowed to hold or buy any items for themselves (via company policy) Today was the second time I have witnessed a woman handing customers bags and giving them details about the bags and things she hadn't even put on the shelf. I'm doing this (for the second time) she took up almost an entire aisle just walking at one time and woman and later a younger man. This is very infuriating to me because I always go for the bags and to have a woman either hold or have someone else buy them for her is ridiculous. The woman had red hair and was probably mid to late 30's. Very rude and loud with another employee in the shoe/bag section. I'm furious. read more

This past summer this was still a GREAT Goodwill jam packed with tons of stuff. Then they "rearranged" the store shelves - everything - and they suddenly had a very poor selection of everything. I bought two winter coats there last winter - this winter they had a little round metal display of coats at the front of the store and their policy (they told me) is to add one or two coats throughout the day. So...you have to keep checking back to see if they've been so nice as to add another coat and if it will be one that fits you. They had a line of winter coats against the back wall, still very few - but THEY are the rejects that have been there since last year! It looks to me like the staff is backing up a truck at the back door and taking home all the good stuff themselves. It's not even worth going there anymore. read more

Selling stuff for more than retail stores! They have the lights that shine on your house for $19.99 they're the cheapest ones out there and are sold at 5 below stores! Not to mention Goodwills are a scam charity anyways.They claim to help people get jobs .Well so doesnt every business out there, but they arent begging for donations. The company has over 300 CEO' s who average over $500k a year annual salaries EACH. If your goal was to help 1 percenters out, then by all means keep donating. They use a loop hole to pay handicapped people less than minimum wage. This is like if Dr Mengala started a charity. I see people are mentioning the help taking home all the good donations. And witnessing employees handing stuff to people that never made it to the shelves. There was an antique dealer they literally would hold stuff for and bring out when hed show up and put in his hands, but they did it so arrogantly that it pushed off all the regular customers. That guy moved on, but he gave them all the staff the idea they should be selling stuff themselves. So that's why they're all taking home vehicle loads now. read more
