I thought all Goodwills in Ontario were closed until I just found this one. It's a big store with reasonable prices.

Did you know that you cannot make an exchange at or after 7:45 pm? I did not know that rule. And…read moreneither did the cashier. That rule is NOT posted anywhere in the store. I was there on a Tuesday evening. There were very few people in the store at closing time. There was no lineup. Nevertheless, the "manager" told the cashier over the phone that she would NOT assist in the exchange at 7:45pm. Very disappointed in this manager's customer service.

I came this thrift store today to see what they have because I have not been in a thrift store (at…read moreleast that I know of). It is a pretty big and has a lot of things, especially in the non clothing area. I got a couple of books and what I think is a cup or mug (which I am using as a pen/pencil holder). I was amazed with what the store has. This store have a lot things with varies conditions (very/relatively new to old but in descent condition). Some of the newer things could be still found in Dollarama and Umbra (some of the Umbra frames here are similar to the ones on the Umbra website). Some of the old but in descent condition look very dated and very used (ex. jewelry, clothes (possibly), shoes, and purses), which is kind of the point of a thrift store but they also look tacky. However, other old but in descent condition items are in good condition (like almost new) where I think people (like myself) are most likely to buy them (ex. books, mugs, picture frames and the decorative stuff). As I walked around the store, different parts of the store is not well organized. You could see this with the stuff spread over multiple aisles (like baskets and containers are nexted to dining stuff which are next to decorative figurines, candles and candle holders). This can also be said with the bookshelves where books with the same author/similar themes and multiple copies of the same book are placed on different shelves over multiple bookshelves so it would take forever to find a book that you like or want. Also, the line up can take forever and can be long when 2 out of 3 registers are opened. The problems I see are the long line ups and how neat and organized some of the area really are though I might come back when I have time from my college classes.

The festival was still held at the Small Arms Inspection Building. CreativeHub 1352 is a non-profit, charitable, community-driven organization that saved this building from destruction. It plans a number of events every year. It focuses on advancing Mississauga's community cultural development through the arts, heritage, and environmental sciences. I love this festival because I eat my way through local good eats and drinks. It's always nice to support local and discover new business all in one location. I have also visited the farmers' market that tends to be available between May and October each year. It's held outside and takes up a good chunk of the parking space. With both the festival and the outdoor market, I have done a lot of purchasing damage. What I love is that Cathy's Kombucha is a regular at both. Every time I come to this building, it's always there. I end up getting my kombucha fix and love that I don't have to hit Oakville, which is where this company is located. It's a nice space for produce, baked goods, and more. I have always enjoyed dropping by. I tend to drive southbound along Dixie until there is no road. I'm then here! There are washrooms in the building. I have never used them. They are closer to the main entrance. I'm glad that this building continues to endure and host a number of cool events to bring the community together. (486)

They made great use of the outdoor space and took us through various areas where we could hear frogs and see fireflies. The old water tower is really cool too. There are logs and cut wood in different areas and ponds too. I'm curious to see it in daylight. Large free parking lot on gravel adjacent to the building.
