Sometimes you can find nice things at Goodwill, but cosmetics and shoes are overpriced. You can get a lot better deal at other thrift shops. I think you need to lower the prices. Thanks. read more

I visited the goodwill on bellview in aurora Colorado on February 21st,2022 at 5:30pm. Merchandise is over priced as usual at this location. I looked at a dresser, 2 dinning tables, and a storage bench. None were priced. And the manager said there was nothing she could do about it. The customer service is always unfriendly and unhelpful. The manager is supposed to be an example to the employees. If she acts like a crotchedly old lady I guess u can't expect any better from the employees. They are always short staffed. There was a pair of shoes for sale with a large rip across the side. I wouldn't give them to a homeless person. I won't be going to this goodwill again. This is the bottom of the line goodwill store. read more

I purchased items at Goodwill in Oldsmar, Florida today and had a few errands to run. When I got home I unloaded my bags and saw that I was missing a bag from Goodwill. I called the store and told them that I was missing the bag, I had my receipt, name of cashier, and described exactly what I was missing. The man on the phone told me that it wasn't there, that it was not their fault, and not their problem, that it was "you that forgot the bag." If that's your idea of customer service, I think you have a serious problem. Any store that you go in, hands you the bag and makes sure that you have your things before they move on to the next person. You verbally attack your customers?! So now I am just out of my money..like I just threw $10 in the trash. I understand that it is my responsibility to get the bags as well, but they wouldn't accept any responsibility. That's just wrong! read more

I recently went shopping at the Goodwill store location Shillington 602 E. Lancaster Ave. Reading PA 610-777-5250. The store was well kept and organize, howeverI was astounded at the prices. Here are a few examples: A coffee cup with stains inside the cup $1.99 ea. a small plain basket $2.99 all of the houseware item were so overpriced. I can easily go to Walmart or Target and get these items new at a better price. I checked out clothing prices, once again $7.95 for used slacks? I thought it was just my thinking so I spoke to three different customers and they all made the same analogy. I am not sure who sets you pricing, but perhaps it would worth it to do a review. Thank you for reviewing my complaint. Sincerely Fran Mc Knight. read more

It is funny how people always seem to have a complaint about something that they claim they are satisfied with! The employees have to deal with some people who donate and their attitudes. Meredith G from Cherry Hill, NJ. complained about " used crap that should be thrown away in the trash" she needs to understand that is not Goodwill, but the some of the people who donate these things. If you do not know what to donate, ask? You waste gas to drop of things that should not be donated, rather than put it in the trash. People come to Goodwill to find 2nd hand gently used items in new, used and fair conditions. Some people have become extremely lazy and just don't care. I have actually heard people say that Goodwill is the "dump site" to go to get rid of stuff. Do they realize that children come here also? Even worst, people leave all their nasty pet items (i.e. cages, collars, bowls, etc.) and they don't even clean them with all the hair on it, eww! The Goodwill employees, good percent try to take there time with the customers, but some of the customers just blow it and demean the employees, which is just not fair. They need to realize, "What goes around, comes around! If you are going to donate, think and be considerate. When I donate, I have to consider the items, Can it still be used? Will someone want this? Is this in a condition where someone will be satisfied? Would I buy this if I saw it in the store? People don't realize that Goodwill in some ways are like eBay, Amazon, and WhatsApp. Too many people assume, and don't ask, then get upset when they don't get what they want. I have stood in line to donate, and am surprised to see the people who come to donate get out of their cars and spend 15 minutes rummaging through stuff in their cars to donate. All of this, is to be done at home. You waste other peoples time who have to wait for you to do this, when they are already prepared with their things just ready to drop off and leave. Be contentious and courteous of this, and stay off the cell phone. It is very rude to be talking to someone, and they are on the phone. read more

I was just at the miamisburg store in miamisburg ohio the store manager Jamie was very rude and inconsiderate to me I bought 30 pieces of glass ware all of which were 69 cents each then I got 4 glasses 20f them were 99 cents and 2 were 69 cents so I had her look at it she took the 2 that were 69 cents took the price stickers off and said you can have them for 99 cents I work in a retail store and if something is mistagged we have to sell it for the cheaper price she said no and grabbed the 4 glasses and took them to the back and said I probably whiched the price tag I did not I just put them in cart not noticing the price difference till they were ringing them up. My complaint is regarding Shopgoodwill.com online auctions. I have been purchasing items there for a couple of years now. Most are good experiences for the most part. Lately I have been purchasing Antique American Brilliant cut glass. Sadly, I have lost 4 amazing purchases due poor packing. The first three, refunded with an apology immediately. Much appreciated even considering how disappointing it is. The fourth was the most devastating to date. They put a 10 in, 5lb, footed vase in a 12x12x12 inch box with one layer of small bubble wrap on it. A Piece of cardboard on top and bottom. That's it! Somewhere during the journey it was dropped, shattering the foot. This particular location was slow to respond to me and is now insisting I will not be refunded until THEY receive the insurance claim from FedEx. I will never purchase from the Cincinnati, OH location again, as they can't be trusted to ship fragile items responsibly! Worst Customer Service I have experienced. read more

This isn't a question. It's a complaint. We are moving and down sizing our home. Today I brought clothes, TV's, surround TV system, household decorations and dishes that will not fit in our new home. In Tyrone GA the tall skinny gentleman went through each box then wheeled out a cart and told me to unload my truck. He stood beside my truck and watched me unload my truck.I also had a box of hangers I thought you may want them and he told me no hangers put these back in your truck. The lady behind me asked him are you not going to help him and he just looked at her.Other workers tried to help and he told them to help other people as there was a line of cars. I could have just thrown everything away. But I thought it may do someone else some good. I WILL NEVER TAKE ANYTHING TO GOODWILL AGAIN!!!! I have heard a lot of negative things about goodwill. And now I understand. Throw your stuff away. Why help them. Why can you not leave a zero rating. Don't expect a response as by what I have heard your getting rich over people doing what they think is right. Just throw it away.!!!!!!!! read more

Goodwill, not so good. Your stuff is way overpriced, I have seen stuff that is from the Dollar Tree marked up for almost double the price. I asked an employee that was off the clock, how they come up with prices for house ware and stuff, she told me employees use the internet and ebay to see what it's selling for and go by that. A pair of blue jean shorts should not be $10 at Goodwill, so what if there name brand, they were donated to you for free. Cloths should be one price across the board, not specifically priced based on name brand. I can get New clothes and shoes from Shein and Temu for almost cheaper than Goodwill delivered my house for free. Goodwill you need to do bette!! I remember the good ol days when cloths were one price across the board no matter name brand, bring it back. And quite trying to sell used pots and pans for almost the new price from Walmart.. read more

Impossible to call and speak to anyone. They seem to only want communication via e-mail. I guess it is a lot easier to ignore e-mails than it is to ignore a ringing phone. I am not too surprised at the lack of care Goodwill has for customers. Since they began advertising so heavily, the prices have gone up and quality and customer service has gone down. The bottom line of Goodwill and something they should remember is that it is a thrift store not a department store. People are their for bargains and someone else's treasures, halloween costumes, inexpensive houseware items, clothing, etc. That is what makes a thrift store. It would make more sense now to go to a retail store where you can, if necessary, return your items. I don't want to be paying for your commercials. read more

On Monday May 8th at 9 a.m. I went to Goodwill in Tell City Indiana. I purchased a Dertrola record player with am/fm radio, cassette/cd player. I was told that it had been tested and everything worked. I tested it out and everything worked. After I got it home and set up I tried out the CD player and it worked great. The next day I put a cd in the player and it worked for a bit then started skipping. On Wednesday I put a CD in the player and took forever to read the CD. It finally did read it. I pushed play and things went well for a few minutes then it started skip and then it just stopped.. I paid $60 for this apparently I'm stuck with it unless you give permission for a refund. I'm on disability and I can't afford to lose that much money. I will be posting about this on Facebook. Also I was in the store for abt 10 minutes and I notice an employee pulling clothes off the racks. I walked past the rack and she was pulling the color green which is the color of the week. When I asked why they were doing this I was told that they have to have all of the color of the week pulled and taken to the back by Friday. If Corporate found out they didn't pull it they would get in trouble. That's ridiculous! They aren't giving people a chance to purchase items for half price. Not only that, but the prices they're putting on stuff that's donated is pathetic! Some stuff that's from the Dollar Tree has $3.79 and higher on it. I don't understand how you can let this happen. It's a rip off. Poor people can't afford the prices that's being put on it. I'm very upset about my stereo. I haven't gone back to Tell City G oodwill because they will just tell me no refunds or exchanges. It's NOT right. Lollie Benham read more

Goodwill should be ashamed of them selves. This company has went down hill, over charge for items. I was in one of the Muncie IN goodwill and found a children's monster costume for $.99 cents I go to the checkout to pay for the item the cashier rips off the tag and said this price is incorrect that it was $14.99. The cashier claimed someone must have tampered with the tag. Tag did not look tampered with, item was clearly used and you can buy brand new for that price of $14.99. I ask for manager when the manager came up they sided with the cashier that a customer must have tampered with the tag. Unless most customers walk around with the gun that applies the tags I just don't see how a customer could have tampered with the tag. Someone clearly priced the costume wrong at Goodwill by mistake, so I left and did not buy the costume. So I thought I would call later and talk with someone else see if I could talk to corporate office but guess what they no longer take customer service phone calls. Both Muncie IN location have disconnected phone number. I donate a lot to goodwill but guess what no more and I will tell as many as I can not to anymore. Very disappointed with Goodwill. read more

I went to the Goodwill store last year (2022) to donate some items as I pulled into the west side of the building off artesia blvd in Redondo beach. I could see large bins lined up along the back fence and a large container. I got out of my car and started to gather my items and struggled but walked over to the large container and as I did I was approached by a tall guy who said " we only accept these items" ( pointing to a sign on one of the container doors),he had such an attitude so I said " Good Morning " , " So you don't take exercise equipment and limited baby items anymore?", why? He quickly walked back over to me and showed me the sign and said " Read the sign!", as if I were stupid. I didn't say anything else to him. He followed me to each bin to make sure I didn't put anything in there he didn't want me too. What a jerk!! I have not been back for a year until today. It is 2023 and I went in for a few minutes and found a few and went to the counter and the girl at the front was so rude and sarcastic to me that I quickly knew why she could be so rude and knew it was because her boss is rude so who could I complain to, the answer is " No one!" If the Manager is a Smart Alec then the workers will be the same because they don't have to care about customers or losing their job. Obnoxious people running this store and I will not donate or shop their ever again!!!! I will be contacting the Corporate office!! read more

Went to the Goodwill in Helena, MT yesterday and had a terrible experience. All was well until I had gone into the dressing room to try on shirts. Not only was it in disarray from previous customers but they also had pills laying on the floor. I did not notice the pills until my two year old son tried to put one in his mouth. I loudly voiced my disappointment and frustration to multiple employees as well as the store manager. One employee left angry and the store manager gave me a pathetic apology. They were treating me like I was the bad guy when I had every right to be angry. The dressing rooms are small and the time it would take to clean them wouldn't be long at all. This was a result of indolent and inattentive employees and management. read more

To who it might concern. Please lower your prices. Goodwill should be doing good food r people sell stuff affordable not the same as Walmart prices or even higher. How can anyone afford a pair of jeans for $20.00? When Walmart has them for $22.00 It should be$2.00 to $5.00 at the most That's what goodwill is for to bring goodwill to poor folks. I am very disappointed in your prices. Anywhere you go is high price. It's just outrageous. Please go through the goodwill store system and see what they charge. The GW in Santa Ana, CA. Cheated me on ebay.. Listed a Soft Cell cd as a "German release.. In good shape no skips or stalls".. Cd is a England release even says so on the cd case.. Also cd stops playing after the first song.. Suppose to be "no returns with money back guarantee". My messages to them was ignored.. I opened a case asking for a refund.. Ebay changed it to a return.. I took photos proving my case since I was led to believe no returns accepted I threw the cd away.. They stole my money with ebay's help/blessing.. I should have paid attention to the negatives.. They pulled this same scam on other buyers.. Steer clear of any and ALL GW sellers on ebay.. I learned my lesson.. I purchased some items on 1/25/2022 at 6:35 pm at the 1103 Annapolis Rd, Odenton, MD 21113 and asked "Carrie" whom was on the floor at the time about their return policy. Once home, I tried the items on and had to return a pair of pants and shoes on 1/26/2022 at 5:55 pm, guess who waited on me, yep Carrie. She informed me they will take the pants back but not the shoes. I begin to proceed to tell her, you said nothing about shoes not being a returnable item and there's nothing in the store saying that. I have been an ongoing faithful customer at the Goodwill Outlet Store in Dayton Ohio for 24 years, including the two previous locations and have spent literally tens of thousands of dollars at these locations. This outlet store has been a model for numerous other locations for many years; in fact Goodwill executives from multiple Goodwill locations across America have visited this location on numerous occasions. But up until the last several months this store has been running smoothly with generally good merchandise to choose from. For many years this outlet store was a wonderful place to shop, but under the new and current management, mainly the distric mgr; who at one time was the actual store manager, has been ran into the ground and the merchandise is nothing but pure trash! They are holding back the good and decent merchandise at a rate that is unprecedented because sadly they base their sales numbers on individuals who come in to buy shoes, luggage, and clothing, in bulk. They say it's because they're not getting donations but this is a super Goodwill Outlet Store and we see trucks coming in and out of here on a daily basis including people who donate. They refuse to allow jewelry out onto the floor and the employees who bring the merchandise out have been instructed to give all the jewelry they find to management and there's no guarantee it ever makes it to the Shop Goodwill website..... basically no accountability. The district manager refuses to interact with the customers and the only time I've ever seen him speak to someone is when he was making derogatory comments towards them and for that matter his employees; he has a very nasty disposition and frankly he should not be in the position he's in. The employees who dump the merchandise into the bins and bring it out to the floor virtually work unsupervised and people including myself, have witnessed them as we look through the doorways into the loading area stealing jewelry and putting into their pockets. What we're hearing now is that the district manager is secretly taking bids from individuals on certain types of merchandise without any open bidding. To me that is unethical and an unfair business practice and he should be investigated for such blatant corruption! The loss prevention team here is nothing but a joke, there are cameras all over this store but it is obvious they do not watch those cameras or they would see what's going on regarding their dishonest employees. What needs to take place here is an undercover investigation and possibly even the FBI and FTC investigating this store for theft and racketeering; after all it is a federally registrated non-profit organization. Basically this outlet store has become nothing but a pure joke and the joke is on the customers and those who donate quality merchandise to the Goodwill. read more

I am writing go formally complain about an incident that occurred at the Santa Ana Goodwill store on Fairview Street on 8/15/2024. As a regular customer and donor. I have always appreciated the service provide by Goodwill. However, my recent experience was quite distressing. On 8/15/2024 while I was looking at some remote controls, and employee, who is large huge white man with glasses, approached me in a very unprofessional manner. Without saying "excuse me," he attempted to grab an item from the box I was lookin through. I asked him to wait until I was finished, but he stood very close to me and did not move until I insisted he come back later. This made me feel rushed and harassed. Shortly after, another employee name Franco, short guy with a big beard attempted to do the same thing. I expressed my annoyance and feeling of harassment to him as well. When i decided to leave the store. Franco followed me and continued to engage in a passive-aggressive manner, questioning me about the items I was looking for. His behavior was intimidating and intrusive, making me feel very uncomfortable and upset. I believe this behavior is unacceptable and does not align withe the values of Goodwill. I request that you address this issue promptly to ensure that other customers do no have to endure similar experiences. Thank you for you attention to this matter. I look forward to you response and I hope the appropriate actions will be taken. Sincerely, Carlos read more

The goodwill at 11236 S Pikes Peak Dr, Parker, CO 80138. is Islamophobic and racist. I went to this goodwill on 6/22/24 with a head scarf o, a white lady stated I don't belong there, I just continted shopping. this lady went a called the manager who is a white short man as well. this man and one of the store attendants wanted to lit drive me out of the store through intimidation. Price items donated for free like they are Nordstrom. Employees don't wear name tags so they can't be rude a 12.99 for a Nike shirt from 30 seasons ago? Really? I SUPPORT People changing their prices because they price things ridiculous. DM me for how their system works and how to change them easily. It's the greed of it. Let people come in buy carts and carts full of clothes on dollar days for obvious transportation to Mexico. It's annoying. Also like if I chose to run out of the store with something you don't follow, if I change a price. Let it go. this is fraud at the highest level especially the online auction SHOPGOODWILL. They misrepresent things and then if is different than described and you send it back you only get partial refund plus restocking fees. How can a charity, take items that are given to you for FREE and be so greedy and yet pay their management incredibly high and unjustifiable salaries of $300,000. to $ 950,000. and your employees get just a little over minimum wage. And to think my tax dollars are going to Goodwill as grants and federal funding, I will be complaining to DOGE and other government agencies to investigate this fraud. read more

I have complained to the store that I used to go to 3 or 4 times a week I no longer shop at Goodwill cause other locations are far from my house I have submitted numerous complains on one of your employees named Alice Yoder she is very rude and doesn't help customers when they ask her about something and she is having her family come in and when she rings them up she doesn't charge them for everything and she is collecting social security for retirement and doesn't inform them Goodwill has lost alot of loyal customers because of one rude employee and she is stealing from your company read more

Posting policies, such as you must leave the price tag sticker on the overprice merchandise that even with the receipt, we cannot refund after 10 days have gone by and straighten the pricer or assistant pricer or whoever the hell he is, he's not the manager he is rude as hell I don't need somebody's flying and heavy at me because I'm frustrated. By the way, I'm disabled on fixing I don't go to the one near my home 40 miles away because it's filthy and it's a terrible mess. I'm out of my way and now I'm thoroughly disgusted. read more

I've always supported Goodwill's mission, but recently the pricing has become unreasonably high. Many of the items are donated and should be affordable for those in need, yet prices often match or exceed retail stores. It's disappointing to see secondhand clothing, furniture, and household goods priced beyond what many can afford. Goodwill was once a reliable place to find affordable essentials, but now it feels more like a boutique. Please consider returning to fair pricing for the sake of the community. read more

Talk about piss poor service! I'm located in Rocky Mount, NC, and the manager at that store is a hateful man, just like the people at Goodwill Corporate! They won't even take the time to speak with a person about an issue in one of THEIR stores! I read where Goodwill gets all the money from their sales, and the CEO gerts paid bank! Take your money to Salvation Army or any other store rather than Goodwill - they don't deserve our patronage! read more

I don't feel it is appropriate for employees to ware a BLM mask while working. I feel it's fine to portest to voice your opion just not in a place of business. I'm 64 years old and find this offense, this happened on 06/12/2020 in a Suffolk Va. Store. Loved shopping at Goodwill but if this behavior is allowed to continue I will go somewhere else. read more

went boca raton location and manager would not let me in despite ten minutes to spare of closing time no one answers the phone , worst new employees ever especially for Boca Raton. Quite annoying when I am a solid patron and spend my money there all the time. These people should be removed, there was no good will in good will so sad Mark read more

Since this organization feels the need to act as the police in mandating wearing masks, I will no longer support them with any donations or $$ by shopping there. I do not support the wearing of masks. I feel this should be up to each individual. Dictatorship is no way to make customers feel welcome. I will not reccomend anyone shop here. read more

These Goodwill's in the Miami Valley seem to think they can talk about an old case from the 1990's, a Battered Women's Case, then suggest as your shopping that they are going to try a put a person back in prison after being out twenty years. This is ongoing and retaliation. My personal life or history is Not your business. read more

Johan Robinson is a terrible manager, you get a disrespectful and rude service from July - the supervisor + sour faces. This store is located in my neighborhood in Edmonds Washington, but if the people who donate to this store were not so generous, I would not have visited this place, ever. Simply - disgraceful ! read more

all goodwill stores have taken advantage of the communities by accepting donation and overpricing them just because one or two people got lucky makes it impossible for people who truly can't afford anything to buy something I think there should be a new store for the people and bring down all goodwill stores read more
