I was shopping in Goodwill on May 8th for a few clients of mine nonprofit organization called okafo and Company Inc. I think I was in there about 2 hours when I had gone to a salesperson and inquired about a shoe. Well it didn't go very well because the person who was working had an attitude and so I talked with another employee which also had an attitude and I decided to ask for the manager well she also had an attitude. After about 3 hours I decided to tell it up the purchases that I had made and make my final decisions on what I was purchasing. I am a personal shopper for some of my clients who have came out of homelessness and have Apartments. We have to discuss price sometimes they pay for the items and sometimes I pay for items. When a customer approached me about a vacuum cleaner that I was holding on to. When I explained to her what I was doing and she said she didn't care that I had a nonprofit organization and I was helping people because she was just into a program where she needed help and she's basically wanted to fight me over this vacuum cleaner. She went and got the manager and told the manager about the situation so the manager told me in front of about five other women who had made a circle around me, that I had no right to hold the product the items I had to buy it right then even though I was not through with my shopping. The amount of things that I had meant that I needed someone to come with a truck to help me load the items into the truck. The store was going to close around 8, this person was getting off work I think around 7. I think it was around 5 at that time when I decided to call the corporate office but I ended up calling the Durham store. This manager was very happy to tell me that I had to give up all of the items that I had planned on purchasing. So I purchased the one thing that this client or customer who was fighting me over which was a vacuum cleaner. As soon as I left the women quickly jumped in and went through everything that I have purchased. They did not ask me what else I wanted they did not ask me was I giving up these things or anything they just went and ripped it apart and took what they wanted. This is my job I am a personal shopper for women who do not have cars cannot get out to shop. I try to find them very reasonably priced items which are very good in the condition that they're in and qualities. I know that I have a great eye for fashion I have a great eye for design not to brag. But I felt very violated I felt very sad because these people felt I was taking something away from them. This is a store ladies there are rules that you follow there is etiquette in shopping. When I spoke with the other manager she let me know that what they did was wrong. She let me know that if I didn't have the money I didn't make the decision to purchase that item at that time when she demanded me to that she was going to take it from me whether I liked it or not. I did not like the way I was treated. This is a nonprofit organization Goodwill does very good things. They cannot help that the people that they hire are rude and hateful. I understand that they were a little upset with me because I did talk a little smack to one of the helpers for employees that was rude to me. I did say some things that were very ugly to that person sometimes I do have my moments. But I went back and I apologize because even though they were being mean to me and hateful I did not need to go there with them. But I am sending out this message because what happened to me today was like a mob. I felt very sorry for the people who were involved in it but I stood back and watched their attitude they were so happy elated that they had won this fight. Those things were not for me they was for my clients and I feel sad that my clients who really needed them did not get those things today. I plan on taking this as far as I can because the manager that was there does not deserve to be a manager. If you do not represent the company in a good and positive way you should not work for Goodwill. The people here are incredibly rude! I asked an employee about an item they had sit in view of the door.. She told me that it was going to be put out in a few minutes; I asked how much would it be and she told me that SHE couldn't price things so I waited... and waited.. and then another customer asked her abo a battery to try an item and this woman was so very rude to both of us! She even closed the door that was previously open in our face!!! we had not once stepped into or even stuck our head into the back room we were merely speaking to her from the other side of the door, very kindly and politely! Then after a few minutes she comes outside and then comes back and rudely explains that she went. Got a manager to help us! Then the (Manager) ask the same lady what she was going to price this stuff that we were asking about; the employee responded to the manager that she didn't know yet! And then the manager refused to price an item to be sold! As if this store didn't already price donated FREE to them (some worn slap out) items as though they are brand new! they get upset and outright rude with you if you ask about items that have not yet been priced. Your Goodwill store in Missoula Montana on reserve has a young male supervisor there that is very disrespectful and very very rude to me now I'm not sure if it is because I am a very large overweight fat man or I am very gay or he just does not have no respect for senior citizens but in any case I am tired of being treated like a second class citizen I spend money in your store I'm probably in it two to three times a week and I'm tired of being treated like garbage or a piece of trash by this supervisor he needs to be spoken to he seems to always have an attitude and he is not aware of the fact that customers should always be respected he has no respect for me and I'm tired of it please address the situation thanks read more

I have been trying to buy a childrens slide from Austell goodwill for 3 days they have never put a price on it. Each time I asked about it I was told to come back and buy it after they price it. I live in Picayune Ms. My daughter and I went in line we always do and have and this lady that I have never seen asked menif I had a mask. I said yes I do but I have asthma and can't breath good with it on. Well she pretty much told me to put it on or get out. I tried to e plain to her but she didnt want to hear it. Now as I told her I come to this store 2 and 3 times a week and ha e never been treated like that until now. So now I see why our store has problems keeping workers and customers at times.. I bought A comforter, at the Goodwill on 1st Ave, Evansville Indiana. Few days later I had a doctor's appointment and she said you have bed bug bites. I said I have never had zitts and I thought that's what they were even though they had no white centers. I did notice blood next to my pillow, I sleep with my arm up I had bites there too. I pulled out my bed and it was a new bed, I am 52 and just starting over. I took hair spray and drowned them. The was one huge blood filled fat one any many others. It was insane. They say there hard to get rid off, but remember hair spray can kill frozen the ones I saw and I put my bed in the alley for the trash men. I have Tumours. I had to sleep in the floor. I haven't a sofa. I found a few of them bed bugs on my easy chair so I had someone drag it out to the trash. Now, ..... I haven't one comfortable place to sit or lay. I am on A air mattress....I can't afford a bed or a chair. I vacuumed hard for days. Thankfully I haven't seen any more of them. The comforter was a JC Penny one real nice. Visit goodwill Clairemont Mesa Sandiego California. And buying stuff when I'm doing checked out they asking the membership number to get a 10% discount but I'm always using my husband number since his 56 and all of a sudden they told me that my husbands need to be with me. That meme worship number is I'm always almost 4 yrs ago. But this store not accepting it to much price I thought goodwill is helping people , creating jobs. But that is not through their goal is to become rich and make as much as possible lot of money from the people who can't afford brand new that's why we're looking a deal even its second hand or used. I scheduled a very large pick up...All kinds of stuff...They left most of it ... I waited 3 weeks for them to pick it up...Now I have to find a way to get rid of everything....Did not even give me a donation receipt... Never again will I visit their stores or donate anything... I went to the Goodwill store on Rte. 191 in Bethlehem, PA. I was there yesterday when bought a Sony compact cassette player. I noticed while there was a TDK cassette and Energizer batteries that were dull looking inside. When got home replaced the batteries and it worked a little on and off.. Then not at all. I went to return it that Thursday and the team lead / supervisor (elderly woman) got nasty with me. She said is sold As-Is. I saw the sticker. Ordinarily wouldn't of went to return it. Since it had the cassette and old batteries in it and had put new batteries in at home and it didn't work right. All wanted was the $2.97 back. Yesterday when was there a new person named Holly was cashier at the register. She asked if wanted a bag twice and said okay. She got mouthy with me. A team lead was standing in back of her to the right watching this. It was her own and she said or did nothing. I've had run ins with her as well in the past. I had not been in the store for 3.5 months from 7/17/19. There were other occasions in the past had run ins with employees and customers. People are so ignorant, mental problems and just plain rude! Was just at my local store in Bremerton, WA and my basket tipped over and when I got my purse out of it my phone had fallen on the floor near some racks in the front. I went back towards the back where I was shopping and leftvmy basket when I realized my phone was gone. Ran back up towards the front where the basket tipped over, it's nowhere. So I inform my bestie what's happened and we both go looking, but nowhere. Mind you, this all happened within 5 to 7 mins when I went up to one of the registers to ask a cashier if anyone had turned in a phone. No one acknowledged me just yelled something to another cashier after I had to ask her like 3 times because I wasn't sure she heard me, since she didn't even bother looking at me. The other cashier asked me what it looked like, I told her the case color and she asked what brand and I told her. Then a different girl says she's gotta call her manager. No big deal so I wait. Manager comes and asks me what's on the screen, I told her that it's fingerprint unlock activated which will open to my home screen. She tells me that her son had a voice activated phone that someone was able to get into. NOT THE SAME THING as far as I'm concerned. I then describe the picture on the homescreen. They go behind the counter and pull it out, I see it and said yep, that's it, as they're whispering and looking at it. HOW MANY PHONES, MATCHING THE DESCRIPTION, COULD'VE BEEN TURNED IN WITHIN THAT 5 TO 7 MINUTES TIME FRAME??? The store was pretty full, I get that, but I feel like I was treated like a criminal in front of the whole store cause they were not quiet or discreet about any of it! I have super bad social anxiety, so even being out in the store was a feet in itself! So THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR MAKING ME CENTER OF ATTENTION OVER SOMETHING THAT SEEMED SHOULDVE BEEN PRETTY CUT AND DRY HONESTLY, SINCE I GAVE AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION FROM THE GET!! Oh and by the way, the entire store is completely outrageously priced for a store with the name GOODWILL, where 100% of the inventory is DONATED!! Not even poor people have a chance to own a COACH purse, that someone DONATED! It's really sad and ridiculous!! I'd rather go without, honestly, instead of going in there and getting bummed out because I saw something I would love to have but still can't afford! Sooo...THANKS FOR NOTHING!!! I will never support or go to a goodwill to shops again. Recently I went in the Brunswick by store with my backpack on as I have a hip injury that I could not carry my side bag. It was also part of my fashion attire outfit! I go in regularly and spend a lot! I was told they had to hold my bag that was closed and on my back. I opted to put it in my car however I asked to speak to a manager. While I waited for the manager I looked around the store about 4 others had backpacks on and huge purses that don't even zip yet I was singled out. The manager was less than professional and told me she hear me for 20 minutes. She is the manager it's her job to hear the customer and it was not 20 minutes! What kind of customer relations is that? and then when I reported it to corporate I got a redirect email to contact the store! What sense does that make???!!! Anyway the store has nothing indicating no backpack hanging so as far as I'm concerned they made this policy out of their hat and use it when it's convenient otherwise they should be handling this at the door. After this the manager went around the store and told everyone no backpacks all after they been there because of my complaint. After the fact?!? My mother and I are disappointed that the Goodwill on louisville Ave in Monroe, la closed their public restroom. My opinion is the store conducts enough business and it's square footage is large. Folks like to browse and take their time, but time runs short if a bathroom break is needed. Please reconsider. read more

I've been to the Goodwill store in Kalamazoo Michigan on West main several times . The clothes are not marked, so when you get to the check out they just charge you anything the want to in spite of the signs. For instances I bought onesies the other day the sign said 99 cents when I got to the counter and they charged 1.99, because one had buttons and the other had long sleeves.The sign said nothing about the difference, it was the same with other things I bought.Will Not go back! On 4/4/2019 I was betrayed by someone I thought I could trust to assist me with my move from Atlanta, GA to Houston, TX. They took my Budget rental truck loaded from my garage items that had been off loaded; as well as, items still on the truck including comforters, pillows, my clothes and accessories, my sons clothes, and toys (all of his toys from xmas that he only got to play with for two weeks if that since we had to leave to come to TX in January) and took them to Goodwill. After locating the truck at 2:30 am the next morning I called the police, who were able to get him to tell where he took my things. He even gave them the receipt. I then called Goodwill and left a message; as well as, the Goodwill listed at 8:30 am. I was told by the manager that my things were already on the floor and there was nothing she could do. My family went the next day. My items were not on the floor. Thirteen large bins, boxes and bags and they are simply gone. I went to Goodwill Saturday, still nothing on the floor and no help. Although I found out from one employee that they are supposed to have the things on the floor in 24 hours, but my things from the truck were so much they had not processed. they were in the back. Not what the manager told me less than 24 hours after they were left. I went again Sunday and the manager told me she had been instructed not to speak with me. To only speak with the police investigator. She took a copy of the card the police gave me, but to date my things have not been returned and I saw several of my kids toys on the floor the last time. I have given to Goodwill at lease 10 times a year for the last 3 years. Now I have been rapped of our possessions and Goodwill is rapping me a second time while I watch them sell my hard earned possessions and they tell me there is nothing I can do.
