Update: I've stopped coming to this location because of the customer service experience and the prices. Multiple times, I've had employees ignore that I was at the front waiting for several minutes for checkout -- like they have looked at me, made eye contact, and kept doing their task without coming to the front or contacting anyone else to do so. They also don't wrap fragile items even if I ask them repeatedly to wrap fragile items and throwing them in thin fabric clothing doesn't cut it. I'm always wary about this and now I carry packing paper to do it myself in the car afterwards, which is ridiculous with Goodwill prices. They clearly use Google lens to make pricing decisions based on active listings, not actual sales. They get their merchandise for free, so the significant up charges and pricing make me angry and feel exploitative, at minimum. I have found other thrift stores and don't go here much anymore. read more

This is a very clean Goodwill. They have items organized nicely around the store. The bins of little kids clothing items is a bit clunky. Much easier to find sizes when they had them hung up on racks. There was a large variety of household items and Christmas stuff (1/2 off). I love the drive-through donation drop off here. We had a truckload of stuff, so this made it really easy to drop off stuff and then head into the store right after. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Their prices on gently used stuff is pretty great. Perfect for Halloween costume time and for ugly holiday sweater season. You don't feel like you are breaking the bank when you want to wear something only once. read more

Fairly clean and fairly well-organized, probably in part to being a relatively new location that went in to new construction a few years ago. They have a large selection of items that seem to be invariably priced at $4.29 per piece of clothing. For some items, this seems on point, but for others, it seems kind of high (either for the quality the item is in or in relation to what it cost new). The shirt I ended up picking up for my Halloween costume is probably from the mid- to late-90s, has some light stains and buttons sewn on with contrasting thread, but costs the same as something in perfect condition from a year ago. The shorts my boyfriend got for his costume are washed out and in okay condition, but are nearly the same price as the brand new items on the clearance racks at Target and Old Navy now that summer's done. Yes, this is a good spot to find things that aren't on trend, but I don't think it'll necessarily lead to snagging great deals. However, if you don't have something particular in mind and are flexible with your finds, you can outfit yourself on the cheap. read more

It's amazing how much stuff a person can accumulate in 9 years. It's truly remarkable. The silver lining to all of this is that even though I may no longer have a need for it, someone else probably does. This location is convenient to my home and drop-off is a breeze. Remember to ask for a receipt as donations are tax deductible. read more

Some of the prices at this location are much higher than average for the Madison area. I've seen mall brand tops for 8-10 dollars. On clearance at the store they are probably only $15 so this isn't the best place to find great deals. I think it's worth checking out St Vinny's or some of the other area Goodwill Stores. read more

I've found this location to be really hit or miss - some of my favorite things have been purchased here, but more often than not I walk out with nothing. Quality and pricing can really vary here. My biggest issues are with the shoes. Non-sneakers are $3.99 unless otherwise marked (so says the sign). I love shoes, buy tons, and at $4/pair, it's fairly guilt free. Today I put back TWELVE pairs of shoes that were all marked between $7.99-14.99. I would have spent $48 had they not been obnoxiously overpriced and with the price irritatingly marked with a silver paint pen on the bottom, at that. Instead, I walked out empty handed. I use to go to Savers weekly til they jacked up their prices and I haven't been there in months. Please don't go that way, Goodwill! Keep your prices low so your stock moves quickly and we all come back more often! That's also known as the formula for a perfect thrift store. read more

Unremarkable. This location is both a store and a donation dropoff. The interior is large, but it didn't really seem to have many finds (the typical coffeemugs, cat statues, and esoteric small appliances). Doesn't specialize in large items like furniture. There's nothing about this location that sets it apart from other Goodwills. On the plus side, the cashier was friendly and easy parking. read more

Although about the same size as its East side counterpart, this new Goodwill location isn't quite as nice. It had price signs posted for certain items, but then they were priced individually - and much higher. Not only that, but having been to the East side location on the same day, I knew the same items were priced very differently there. The store associates were a bit unaware of the customers, as well. However, as this location just opened in the last month I'm really giving it the benefit of the doubt. It's arranged nicely, is a great big space, and has lots of potential. I think it just needs to work out its kinks. read more

I have not ventured to the East side location that the other reviewer (Laura Kate) was referring to, but I've been fairly impressed with this location. It's not huge, but I've found some high quality items here: coffee table books, kitchen accessories, and high end clothes (Banana Republic, Dockers, etc.). Another thing that I've found Goodwill great for is board games. You will want to check that all the pieces are there, but a lot of times I've found games that are practically never used and cards are still unopened. Most of these are $1-2! If you can get past the stigma of second-hand shopping, you can find things for a steal here, and other Goodwills. read more

This place is definitely hit or miss. Some days I go in and find several things but lately I have walked out empty handed, mostly due to them raising their prices to ridiculous amounts. A used pair of boots with the soles almost worn thin for $24.99? Yeah, I think I'll pass. They also have a website that they send a lot of the "premium" items to so don't expect to walk in and find anything that is a nicer name brand; mostly just Old Navy and Target fodder to be had here. They also moved their half price days to Sunday-Monday instead of Friday-Saturday which is a bummer as Sunday is a family day for me and I rarely trek into town on a Monday. They use to really stand apart from Savers or St Vincent de Paul with their lower, fixed pricing but now they are just another overpriced thrift store. Oh, and don't expect to be wowed with their customer service either, it doesn't seem like most of the staff is happy to be at work on any given day. read more

Unfortunately this used to be my favorite goodwill until I went in today and saw that they skyrocketed all of their prices. It used to be $4.29 for most tshirts and $7.99 for jeans (no matter what brand) now that is not the case. I can't justify $9.99 for used leggings regardless of brand. I saw some shirts that were kohls brand that were faded and definitely worn 20+ times with a price tag of $6.29 on them. I could go to kohls with a coupon on the clearance rack and get them brand new for not too much more. It truly is a shame that they upped their prices especially since all of the donations are FREE. They make a 100% profit on everything there. The CEO of this company probably got a pay raise- like I said, this truly is a shame to see this. Goodwill has seemed to get greedy over the years, with prices increasing. I might as well go to savers. Pretty much same prices read more
