We found some interesting and inexpensive stuff, like a $5 red Asian rug runner in perfect shape. It's not unlike a fleamarket and has different stall-like areas. There is an interesting clock/watch shop, another that has tons of costume jewelry. There is such a wide variety of stuff at reasonable prices, that it's tough to really describe the diversity. There are ladders and pails and tools, and flags, and so much stuff. Worth a browse if you're in the neighborhood. Totally curious, only mildly organized. That's what makes it fun, I suppose. It's about two miles W of Abyss, another interesting thrift store. They're very dissimilar. You'll see what I mean.

My friend swears they have the best deals, so I decided to stop by. I was only interested in upcycling home goods like curtains, pillowcases etc. That kept my search a little easier. I found several things I wanted but the prices seemed so high for a thrift store. I went to the cashier and asked if they ever have home goods on sale, figuring I'd just wait to get those items. He pointed to a huge sign I missed when I walked in. Everything except clothing was 75% off! So instead of checking out with one thing I had several for a total of $12! I don't know how often they run that sale but it was worth my time. They have a lot of everything and I found the clerks very friendly and helpful.

Over the years I've purchased quite a few women's tops, fabric napkins and sheets, and so much more. On this trip last week I left empty handed, but I know they'll be something for me on my next visit. The volunteer staff is helpful. It's worth the short drive to Newburgh to check it out.

Took my 17yr old here to begin our journey for a prom dress. There is no plus size dresses that…read morewere new yet there were alot of small size dresses in new condition. The larger size dresses were in terrible shape tears, missing gems. She is a 15/16 so not a very large young lady. The dresses that were there are old and out of style. She felt defeated and bad about herself due to the poor selection in her range. As she looked through racks and of beautiful dresses for size 0-10 there was just only a small section the very back corner behind the wedding dresses for plus size girls. She felt judged and not beautiful at all. One dress she did find that she liked was 460$ it was torn and missing gems on the straps and would need alot of altering to fix it. but the price was set. so we walked away as i am not buying a used dress for that insane price when i can go to another shop and get a new one. Honestly i would pay the world if she loved her dress. but the service and selection was subpar. do not bother going here if you arent a size 0-10 and prepared to be treated like you shouldnt be in a dress.
