Well, I stopped at Sailor's Antiques first and they were AMAZING! After walking out with a gorgeous lamp, I had about 17mins before the Riverside Antique Mall closed, so I decided to do a quick walk through to see if it warranted a longer return trip. The second I opened the door, the lady at the front says, "we're done. We close in ten minutes." OK, thanks. Lights were already out on most areas. I used the flashlight on my phone to look at a few areas, then she hunts me down to say they are closed now. She rushed me out the door, quite rudely, at 4:49pm. The antique mall of my dreams, this is. Rooms on rooms on ROOMS of ephemera...as personal as yearbooks, cookbooks, clothing, family photos; as random as road signs, paint cans, Coke bottles, rugs. A Whirlpool Rolodex still full of handwritten names. UGH. I love it. Entering Riverside Antique Mall is like stepping into your grandmother's attic, if your grandmother's attic was the size of a small zoo. I don't know where they find all of this stuff, but it is a treasure trove and I hope it stays this way forever. Bring a snack because you will lose hours to this place...but never fear, they do have bathrooms. read more
