My husband and I come here sometimes hoping to find something. The prices are a little high and there's not much selection. Everything just seems like trash or severely picked over, unfortunately. Shout out to Melissa and Patty at the Wellsian Goodwill! They have been so welcoming at this Goodwill and that is very much appreciated! It's nice to have somewhere to take our gently used items and take a gander at other items in the store when I can visit. It can be tricky to ask for help to look at the items in the glass case because if the cashiers aren't swamped, the ladies otherwise available to help unlock the case aren't always seeming happy to do so, so I simply don't bother with anything in the case. Purchased a large whiteboard for our home classroom and a few kitchen items that were a fun find. I don't particularly buy the furniture items here as there most usually is someone or a few people parked on them for long periods of time. Oh well. read more

Sorry but this GW had no selection. It's also kind of weird because they have the electronics in a completely separate room. The electronics are picked over and there are some items when you think to yourself, "why......just why?". I first hit the men's section and I was almost like "where is the men's section". The men's section is not big AT ALL. Then I went to electronics which I already mentioned. I quickly walked through house wears which looked basically like a bunch of junk, not the good kind of junk, on shelves. I found a few DVD's but overall this whole store was disappointing from a male perspective. As usual, of course the ladies section was big, so you may be able to find something here, but I probably won't be back to this store. read more

Went here to make my Halloween '08 costume---for a whopping $7! Bought a blue/white shirt and some white runners (sorry, have to go Cannuck on ya). Along w/ a ping pong paddle and hat I already had, I did Forrest Gump, baby! This place as also been there for me to offload many items so they can be Reused/Recycled (let's go Earth!). okay - lets face it - thrift stores like these sometimes a hit or miss. I give it to them they it's a big store and in addition - even in some areas of disorganization - the employees do try to keep it clean (as in dirt). Here are some things I notice at the store: Clothing: Big Variety - Men's, Womens and kids ... this may work for you and they actually have a decent collection. They have dressing rooms here so that can work for you in regards to fitting. Shoes: a lot of women's choices - athletic shoes are also here - but more on the size 10 and down. (right by them are also rollerblades - good prices) Bags - They have luggage's on one end and purses on the other - not bad - okay conditions. Mostly women's bags. Electronics: Printers are a big thing in here - few speakers (small) and a bunch of miscellaneous items including kitchen accessories. Most of the items are parts too but hey - you could find some use in them. TV's are also in this sections (mostly the 27 inches) enough for a kids room. BOOKS: okay I love the selections here in books - I tell you....informational books - arts, recipes, leisure - etc ... I bought a running book to prep for future events and Im glad I went by this section. Check it out for sure - you might find some good stuff. Frames - cheap frames - you can even replace the pictures but the frames can be cleaned and put to good use - I saw some other similar frames at right aide and the prices was ridiculous - get em here and wipe them down - put your own print in them and save some good money. That's about the stuff that stood out for me - there are other kitchen item sections and office section that really didn't draw me in. (Customer Service is not bad - sometimes you will just have to initiate the conversation) Would I go back again? sure - it wouldn't hurt. read more

I've been shopping at Goodwill regularly for about four years, and the prices have steadily increased to the point where items are barely under retail, and most everything is donated. I say most everything, because they are starting to get a lot of salvaged goods. They used to give you a coupon when you donated that allowed you to save $5 if you spent $25 dollars in the store, and they recently changed the coupon to save 10 percent when you spend $25 or more, instead. It feels like they are nickle and diming at every opportunity, while price gouging too. We can vote by taking our donations elsewhere. read more

I've been in a lot of Goodwill stores across the state, this is the one I most often visit because it's close. Unfortunately they don't have the best selection at this one. I don't usually end up buying anything, maybe it just gets picked over before I get here (though I'm often an early shopper). Prices are okay, Goodwill standard. New Beginnings thrift store is a few blocks away and is a local small business with incredible prices - I recommend checking them out too! I always donate there because I know it stays local and they help the community directly. read more

I love stopping by every few weeks to kill time and browse the shelves. I don't really look for clothes here, but their selection seems huge and takes up most of the store. They have a great selection of furniture and books! Those are my favorites here. I've found a few guilty pleasure 90's CDs for $1, pretty sweet. There's also computer games, frames, kitchenware etc... everything and anything, it's a thrift store sooo. read more

It's BIG! It's BUSY on the weekends! And it's kind of DISorgnized! Too bad. You never know what you'll find here. Disorganization can be a bargain-hunters dream; it hides the steals. I have found few steals here, but they have a wide-selection of stuff. Costume parties/one-shot clothes, perhaps? It's one of the cheapest Goodwill's out there! Go small-town! For a serious thrift shopper, I would recommend Value Village in Kennewick. It is much better organized and they move their merchandise much faster than this Goodwill. If you have clothes you don't use, consider donating! Goodwill is doing good stuff in our community! read more

We love thrift shopping but seriously some of the prices here are almost as much as new items! On some cases I've found items priced higher than new!!! Seriously, they need adjust their prices back down to reality! Thanks for shutting the lights off on us 15 minutes before closing on 9/27/16 at wellsian location. Went to buy an item that didn't have a tag, they google the item then took a dollar off.... if I wanted it new i would pay the extra dollar. This turned from an industry that helped people to a company trying to be a fortune 500 company. read more

I go quite often as I live in the area. Pros: A lot of traffic which means that things move and new stuff comes out often They have the items organized well with markers etc Staffed well with many workers Cons: Overpriced items (a usual problem at Goodwill) $9.99 used kids snow suit. Just saw some brand new at Target $13.49. Some of the staff are nice some are really rude.... obnoxiously saying "excuse me" while coming behind you with a cart like we all have eyes in the back of our heads or something. read more

Well, coming from NYC area where you can find four different thrifts in a row and make a real day of it - this was only for me to drop items off (I was at a nearby store to grocery shop so decided to drop by). I was disappointed in the clothes but then I have been giving tons away (hard to stop thrifting lol). What was a delight for me to find here was the great selection of books... and inexpensive dvd's - not a great selection but cheap. I don't have a car so no way to compare the others but again I gave it a four stare based on the fabulous book selection... (as others have mentioned the electronics selection looked like junk mho) Regarding items being mistreated - this occurred to me at both SA and GW in NYC... I dropped off a new 800 dollar coat (used to model coats so had many) and it did not have the tie belt (found later). The coat could be easily worn without it. I later came by the local church (had GW pick up inside) to add the belt and the young man picking the goods up from people informed me that he threw out the coat! AFTER he gave it to his girlfriend! A brand new Perry Ellis Swing Coat!!! I asked for the manager and informed him I did not give items to staff personally (nor was it their policy) and was more then angry that he took it home and then threw it in the garbage... I did not donate to them again. PS. The reason I now in this area, give to the Salvation Army Organization is that 96% (if memory serves but a high high amount) actually goes to their projects - Goodwill does not do this. As well the items are not bought by staff, in NYC this was a huge problem, and there was even kickbacks for designers who were allowed to "shop" early and pick fine antique items out. Here in Richland WA, the Salvation Army come by to pick up boxes of my possessions - glass items, gemstones, beautiful never worn high fashion clothing (hard to sell anything here and can't have a yard sell)... valuable things. I was worried about the treatment of said items. The woman informed me that the families here are allowed to choose items and the items are not up for general sale. So if you are donating - this might make you feel better about giving to a company that uses the profits better and the products are treated much better....(I boxed, padded and labeled my items and the woman emailed me several times - to introduce me to the pick up "guy" - great guy, and to inform me all arrived safe and sound. read more

I frequented this Goodwill a fair amount while living in Tri-Cities and overall is rather meh. Rarely found any decent music, electronics, or mens' clothing. Records were perennially the same mix of Firestone Christmas compilations, Roger Whitaker, and low-end classical prints. Mostly, I would go for books, and one could find decent stuff there occasionally. The best time for this were the few months last spring and summer when they dropped book prices and had lots of turnover, but soon returned to $1.99 paperbacks / $2.99 hardcovers, to where for most titles you'd have to wait for its tag color to go on half off to make it worthwhile. Staff is decent, but usually standoffish. Marginally better than the Pasco location, but that's the best I can say. read more

Used to be great....circa 2007-2010. Then people started catching on, it's packed ALL THE TIME, picked over, and they jacked up their prices to near-Value Village levels. I miss finding rad stuff here for cheap! ETA: When I complained some time ago about the (very noticeable) price increases, the employee that I spoke to told me that it helps support people in the community, including the people that work there. She further informed me that many of the people that work there are transitioning from prison back into public life. It wasn't a convincing argument, in my mind. read more

If you drop things off here it is almost like throwing your things in the trash. I have donated fragile and glass items worth some $$ only to tell the guy "there is glass in this box" or "this is fragile" and he still just throws the stuff in a huge pile, box or dumpster container full of other junk. I also had a large box of legos once, and another time one full set of army men/tanks and TOLD him but he still just dumped the box of teeny tiny parts into the huge container of toys and other random junk. How on earth can they ever sort all those little pieces out again? Why?? I hated seeing such a pretty procelain statue I donated tossed into a box and surely ruined. read more

I used to love shopping at Goodwill in Richland several years ago. But they have gotten expensive (they sell things that have been donated that came from the dollar store for more than the dollar store sells them) and they hang their pants sideways--I hate that! The prices are very high now. I went in today looking for a large picture frame and they wanted 20 dollars! I went across the street to Fred Meyer and got a new one for 19.95. Its GOODWILL--the items are DONATED. The CEOs make great money and the workers are often paid sub minimum wage. It is just such a bummer shopping at Goodwill now. No bargains, pants hung so that they are hard to look at, and annoying staff who have been coached apparently to be friendly and it just comes off creepy and over enthusiastic. Oh...and I used to shop to music. Now I get to shop to constant Goodwill commercials playing. Everything about Goodwill has changed for the worse. Sad because there is no good replacement. And I agree with another reviewer about them tossing my donations and hearing them break as they land in the box. Ugghhh. Used to be my #1 place, now I can't stand it. I have been to many Goodwill stores and by far this one is the bottom of my list. The quality is mediocre. However the most disturbing is the prices...they are consistently higher than most Goodwills. I find you can buy new housewares at Walmart for the same prices as used housewares here...disappointing... read more

I went in today as I do many times a week. I have spent literally thousands of dollars in this store. There was one cashier working, I was 2nd in line behind a lady with 3 little crying kids who could not make up her mind about things. As I stood there for about 10min., people lined up behind me. I counted 8 people (not counting spouses, children etc., just the ones wanting to make purchases). I asked her if she could call someone else, & she finally said no, she was the only one. When I finally got to buy, she shoved the small items across the counter to me, & I said could I at least have a bag. She grabbed the items & threw them in a bag . She was a young girl but has been there for quite awhile, so experienced. Not only was she rude, but if she was telling the truth, the manager needs to be fired as well. Usually the workers here are pretty good, but this was an awful experience that I don't want to repeat. In fact if this is not acknowledged, I don't plan to return. I have a store & buy lots, but I can take my business elsewhere. read more
