This location deserve 0 stars. They knowingly sold me a counterfeit merchandise and after refusing refund or store credit, they literally told me to donate the item back! They are happily will put CONTERFEIT item back into circulation. I don't care about the money, it's a matter of principals. I will happily no longer will shop there since their prices higher than other actions and even higher than Ross, Marshall's and TjMaxx! I will never shop here again. I'm a walker and they no longer provide bags for purchases so I wear my empty backpack to hold my purchases when I leave. Today I was shopping and I felt a tugging on my back as a employee was moving behind me/past me. I didn't think anything of it because the aisles are narrow and people brush against each other often. When I completed my purchase I moved to the side to place my purchases into my bag. When I took my bag off it was wide open. That employee had opened my bag and left it open. If they're had been a concern the employee should have asked to look in my bag. This was a unacceptable invasion of my personal property and space. My bag had never left my shoulders and this action was inexcusable. read more

Wow! I actually like going there but will cut down immensely, today I saw items that were way out there in price! people donate not for the good stuff to go to goodwillfinds.com just for greed profits. Today a manager took an item to the back obviously for sale online. There has been a decline in people there, most employees are kind and hard working. I often find items i buy when i get home missing something chipped or broke and toss them in the garbage. This use to be so much better than it is. Way better. I will say alot of clothes have tags which is ok but you still will pay a premium price! I tossed my items today. Be choosey! Check things out. read more

Definitely one of the larger and better organized Goodwills I've been in. While in the area we decided to stop in because the word on the street for years has been that they get Target's overstock merchandise. That does appear to be true, but it seemed to be more for food (?!) and knick-knacks/One Spot items. There were bins and bins of holiday Hershey's Kisses around the store when we visited with Target's orange clearance stickers on them, which was odd since I've never seen food in a Goodwill before. The women's section in my size was mostly populated by faded, stretched-out stuff from Walmart and Kohl's. This isn't really different from any other Goodwill, but since Target does carry larger sizes I thought I might luck out with some cute stuff. As usual my boyfriend hit the jackpot and snagged a couple pairs of like-new Lucky Brand jeans for $7 each. As a rule he's always finding nice brands on the cheap at Goodwill for jeans which is great for him and annoying for me when I come over to the men's section empty-handed. We're in this area somewhat often visiting his family so we'll likely be back, but next time I'll focus on scouring the home goods aisle instead of the women's clothing. read more

Update: Still have the same pushy, obnoxious bunch of customers in the a.m. grabbing everything of value. I went in the other day for their vintage sale and same extreme grabbers were out in full force. Now they bring their family members who are just as pushy with loud mouths to boot. I wish management would kick them out and let other good customers get some of the goodies. read more

My wife and I enjoy thrift store shopping and really like the store in Janesville. We drive all the way from Rockford to go there. The store is very clean and well organized. As with all thrift stores if you get there at the right time you can really get some bargains. read more

This is a really NICE Goodwill. Staff was plentiful, polite and helpful without being pushy. What I like about the chain, to start with, is that clothes are sorted first by size, THEN by color. Truly, I appreciate it. The quality of clothing was very nice indeed, including brands I don't usually buy unless 2nd hand or massively on sale. I'm an XL size gal when it comes to button-down shirts, and traditionally, this is not a common size in thrift stores. I was VERY happy with the selection. The book section was pretty big for a resale shop, consisting of several sets of bookcases. The knickknacks & glassware were likewise very impressive. There were even some guitars. Decent furniture as well. If you are looking for picture frames, this is a good place. Oak frames, in good condition, stuff like that. Check it out. If you are on your way to go camping, it's a good place to pick up last minute things. read more

It was a somewhat smaller store and I did not see a lot of patrons making purchases. Me and two other young women went there to buy a futon. After purchasing the futon, we drove around to the donation center to pick it up. A man named Ed came out and when we said we were there for the futon he looked at the three of us, then at the car, and then said in a very condescending tone 'there's no way you guys can get that in there.' As we progressed, with little to no help from him, he became slowly more agitated with the progress we were making, as if he was annoyed that we were 3 women that were able to move it without a 'man's help.' Would strongly recommend improvement in customer service skills. Futon was a good purchase though. read more

This place is huge. I expected to walk in to chaos, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything is so organized (color coordinated, even!) And clean. Everything looks well taken care of and there isn't a gross musty smell. They have everything from children's books to wedding dresses to glass vases. Give this place a try! read more

Let me start off with I am business who holds Estate Sales in the southern Wisconsin area. Today we cleaned out the entire house and were taking beds, tables& chairs, and truckloads of smalls to the Janesville Goodwill Store. We pack glassware and antique to not break them, however after our 4th truckload I noticed Frank the weekend store manager just grabbing items and boxfuls of glassware we place on the belt and tossing them in a huge tote. These items included antique glassware and collectables. I went into the store and asked for the manager to report this guy breaking items and disrespecting the donated items. Out comes this guy Frank who was doing the damage, and said he was tossing them as the boxes were crap. We didn't have a issues carrying them up the basement stairs or down the upstairs to the truck, unloading and carrying them to the belt inside donations. But this guy Frank grabbed everything, including bagged items and throwing hard in the bins. All I can think of is what kind of example is he showing to lead the employees of Janesville Goodwill. This guy is not manager material and needs to be FIRED. I might also add not one of your employees in the donation area thanks us for supporting Goodwill at any of the 5 truckloads that were donated. It is sad to see how this Managers actions has affected the employees ............ as what you react to if you see the boss throw a tamtrum like that. Sorry he had to work on a Sunday. Big mistake Janesville Goodwill..... I hold 2 to 3 estate sales every month, and now my donations will go to Agrace, Castaways, and Salvation Army. read more

This Goodwill is not very impressive. The employees are typically very rude, and the management is also incredibly rude. This goodwill is always very busy, and there are never enough cashiers. The bathroom always smells terrible... I believe it's never cleaned. The products are very disorganized and things are hard to find. This is my least favorite goodwill to shop at. read more

Wow! I love love that rhe clothes are organized by size, type and color. There's so much to find here and it's replenished so quickly. It's helpful that the staff is readily available too. They're good about making sure there's plenty of clerks of lines get long. read more
