Their clothes are always overpriced for having gotten them for free but come on, you couldn't even make it the same as the Target sale price or get the size correct? Insane. Goodwills can be a bit hit and miss, but this one is usually worth the trip. Like all Goodwills, this one can get really crowded (I've been unable to find parking during peak hours), so I recommend arriving early in the day. This location is one of the biggest I've seen in the area, and they're especially good for kitchen goods, housewares, and coats. It seems to me that most Goodwills have done away with dressing rooms, so if you're hoping to check for fit, you may be out of luck if you're not in your most slim-fitting outfit. There are some longer mirrors over on the wall near the clothing, though. Checkout was efficient, and the cashiers cheerful despite the hectic pre-Halloween crowds. read more

We decided on a last minute black tie event for New Year's Eve and I had no long dress to wear. A dress I liked at Macy's was $284. The dress I bought at this Goodwill was $14.99! I splurged on a $49.99 faux fur coat to wear over it because it's Minnesota and I need to stay warm, don't cha know. I considered some sequin tennis shoes to wear with my dress: one purple pair was $14.99 and another black pair was $6.99, but I decided to see what I had at home. I looked for some jewelry to go with the dress, but there was no jewelry to be seen and the employee I asked said they sell the jewelry online she thought. It was a masquerade party and I also asked if they had masks, but she said only during Halloween. This store is always clean and well organized and there were employees scurrying around the whole time I was shopping, putting things away and making things sure things were orderly, even trying to put away the dress I had set aside to "try on" I.e. "Covid try on" meaning I wore a very tight tank top and put the dress over my head in front of the mirror. There is a seven day exchange policy on anything you buy at Goodwill, but keep in mind it is not a return, you'll never get your money back, you'll just need to exchange things for that amount of money. The parking lot at this particular store is super annoying: not big enough and oddly one way at the back. But otherwise, I highly recommend this store! read more

This is my favorite goodwill location in the Twin cities metro. I have found some of my best thrift finds here. 10/10 recommend.

Everyone was very nice. This Goodwill had a large selection including cassette tapes, which are becoming hard to find. Was also clean and didn't feel like they threw things on their shelves. Great job guys!!! read more

I am a seasoned bargain hunter and thrift shopper who enjoys scoring a great price on high end merchandise in good or better condition. Minnetonka Goodwill is one place I can visit and never be disappointed. General appearance: clean, well-organized, and smells good (not all thrift stores do). This place has uncluttered racks of clothes that are divided into mens/womens/kids and by type of clothing (sleeveless top, shorts, dresse, blazers, outerwear) so it makes browsing easy. The merchandise: I would say this is a J.Crew/Ann Taylor type of Goodwill (rather than a Gucci Goodwill). There are many nicer brands (J. Crew, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic) sprinkled with higher end merchandise (Cole Haan shoes), as well as quite a bit of new overstock merchandise from Target, often with the tags still on. I have seen several nicer brand items with tags still attached, although there is considerably more than from Target. The prices: very reasonable. While I have been lucky to find several thrift stores with steals of pricing ($5 dress, regardless of brand, $2.50 top, regardless of brand), the merchandise here is reasonably priced by brand and condition. The employees: friendly and helpful. Everyone I have interacted with is extremely knowledgeable and helps ensure a positive shopping experience here. The verdict: I'm a fan! Pretty much the same as all the other locations, but this one seemed really clean. -It is well organized. -The shelves are filled with new/old stuff. -Toddler Thursdays = 50% off. I found a bunch of new with tags Carter's outfits. -Cashier and staff in general are so friendly and appreciative and are just so happy to be working. I love, love, love this goodwill! I actually hesitated to write this review, because I don't want to tell everyone about MY "secret" goodwill. Today was the 3rd or 4th time I've been to this particular goodwill, and every time I'm impressed by the selection and the prices. So first of all, this goodwill just seems to have better stuff than many thrift stores I've been to. It's due 100% to the area it's located in. Minnetonka is a ritzy area, with many well-to-do families. They all donate their name brand, barely used clothes to THIS goodwill. And while I've been to other goodwills that jack the price up on brands like Banana Republic, this goodwill keeps the prices very fair. I find most items to be between $4-$7, with some more desirable things being $10-$15. I would rate the cleanliness of this goodwill very high as well. It's very organized, and they are super on top of putting clothes (that were rejected at the fitting rooms) back on the racks in a timely fashion. This is THE best thrift store I've been to yet! The store is clean, the selection of name brand and designer clothing is fabulous, and the staff is friendly. Be prepared to wait for a changing room and the parking lot was packed. I will definitely be back in the future. read more

Good luck dropping off any donations. We were lucky to be one of the first 2 cars however the two gentleman taking donations sat and talked while leaving a cone in front of the opening. The line ended up being 8 cars deep. Apparently comforters are an item you can't donate yet is not noted anywhere. Very rude donation takers. read more

I think this goodwill is relatively new. It's very clean and nicely organized. They have a lot of books, knick knacks, and quite a lot of new items with tags from Target. The furniture selections are decent .. a lot of good condition pieces. Clothes are categorized nicely, but arranged by colors not by sizes. Lots of women dresses. I felt super dizzy after trying to go through all the dresses that they have today. Women shoes, bags and accessories are not that great though. read more

This is a fairly new Goodwill, but something about it is just off. I dunno. Maybe after you're used to thrift-storing all around town, you develop a thrift store simpatico-mojo that can be thrown off. Something about this store just doesn't feel right. Maybe it's too clean, yet? Maybe the ceilings are too high? Maybe the stuff is packed in too tightly? Yes. There is definitely that. The stuff at this Goodwill is packed in REALLY tightly. Browsing is difficult. There's also the issue of most of the clothing having been donated (most obviously) by local teenagers. If it looks nice--it's stained or ripped somewhere. Otherwise most of the stuff has lived past its Forever-21 expiration date of a few dozen washings. The styles trend toward "young"--which could be a positive--but as I mentioned, the youth aren't exactly wearing their clothing with the idea of passing it down to the next user. read more

Good luck dropping things off here. The long is so long it was almost getting to the point of blocking traffic. It took over 30 mins to get through. The reason wasn't because it was so busy or because people had so many items, they were sorting items one by one before letting the next person in. I watched a guy unload an entire car full of ugly dishes and had to wait while they sorted each and every thing into different boxes. I've donated to plenty of different goodwills and never had this experience. read more

I have lived in many states and been to many Goodwills. This one is the best I ever went to. I found so many good finds but I had to spend a couple hours in there. Most of the clothing are newer styles from the last three years or so. Many Target brand clothing with tags, probably from across the street. I found many Juicy Couture, Roxy, and Daytrip, and Victoria's Secret Pink clothing. The store itself is really clean and yes the racks are packed but I don't mind especially if that means more deals for me. The ONLY downside to this good will is that they only have the color of the day discount on Mondays-Wednesays I believe and Thursday is senior day. The rest of the weekend is just full price. I wish they had the discounted color every day however like I said, the quality of their clothing makes up for it. read more

Their pricing is outrageously high for what it is. They don't consider trends and age, only brands. I found a dress perfect for Halloween costume. It said $1.99 which I thought was perfectly priced for the style. When I got up to the counter they said it was supposed to be $7.99 because it was talbots. read more

By far one of my favorite Goodwills in the Mpls area. It is such a clean location with a lot of selection! I do enjoy this location. Make note - you have to take the frontage road to get there... otherwise you will have to take a detour. It is a great location with lots of stuff :) read more

I used to absolutely hate coming to this goodwill; their pricing was outrageous (think 50$ for a pair of Tommy Bahama shoes with holes in them, like literal holes). Today I stopped in to donate and thought "why not, I'm already here." I actually found that their pricing went down and their selection of goods went up. The employees were friendly, but they did tend to get in everyone's way. They still did have a problem with some products being extremely over-priced, but I wasn't buying them, so I can't complain. The store was dirty (and it felt dirty), it did have the special "goodwill" smell, and it wasn't organized in a particular fashion. I probably won't make this a special trip kind of place, but if I'm in the area I might just stop in. read more

Seriously the best Goodwill around. We love to thrift shop and donate our old goods to Goodwill as well. I was so impressed with this store the first time we visited, and each visit back we've been even happier to stop in. Between the amazingly friendly staff and the great finds (lots of new items many from Target and tons of vintage stuff) we are always happy to visit. read more

It's ok. But its a little pricey and not my favorite place. I spent a long few hours here and found only one shirt that I liked. Which, if you know me, is shocking. A trip to the thrift store usually means garbage bags full of clothes being lugged to the car and a general sense of great accomplishment. I wasn't happy with the brands or the selection here, although it is certainly clean and bright. I'd rather be in a darker, dirtier salvation army but going home with bundles of designer clothes that I paid 3 dollars for. read more

I end up here a lot. They have an easy drop off that's usually open (I've only seen long lines a couple times, unlike others). The parking lot can be a little annoying (mostly because Minnetonkans often don't bother to recognize "do not enter" and/or "on way" signs. Thankfully, it's easy enough to walk an extra 20ft and have an annoyance free spot in the ToysRUs lot. Checkout is usually equal or better than other Goodwills, as far as speed. The store is well organized, and like most Goodwill stores, has very random stock. Don't forget to check the higher end loot and weekly silent auction items in the cases by the door....I've seen some pretty awesome stuff in there. Not everything is really bargain priced, so it's good to pay attention to the promotions. Thursday is half off toys day, and they clearance a certain color tag each Sunday and Monday at half off, then Monday that color is $1.50 (even if it was $25 the day before!). There's a sign by the door with other deals going down. They get an empressive supply of Halloween stuff when it's in season, and have a section of xmas shite all year round. They also have a 7 day return policy, just incase. read more

I'm not so much a fan today as I was yesterday. I have shopped here dozens of times since the store opened and generally the people are nice. Today, however, I had a bad experience with an extremely rude cashier which completely changed my opinion. While in line behind another woman, the cashier began berating me for no reason loudly exclaiming she was a "credit card only" line. This made no sense to me since I was paying by credit card but hadn't approached her yet. She was angry and rude for no reason, and should have apologized for her behavior. I found another cashier who was pleasant and kind and even gave me a brochure and thanked me for my business. Guess it just depends on who you get, but one bad apple definitely makes the experience a lot less enjoyable. read more

Young asian cashier rude as as can be. She was CRUEL to a nearby elderly cashier in front of customers with absolutely no shame. Unfortunately it was almost closing time on a weekend and there was no manager to complain to. I felt so bad for her co-worker. I can't imagine how she acts when customers aren't around.
