Not for the weary of heart. A lot of people here and everyone is rummaging through and tossing things everywhere. Found a lot of good items but also a lot of junk, shoes are not always with pairs, saw a smelly stinky sweatshirt but also some nice items. The workers are not too friendly. They switch out the bins every so often and shut the aisle down until finished- they are loud and have to yell because people don't listen. They will even change the bins mid-rummage. The cashier was not friendly and asked me why I would come today (just a regular Sunday). Definitely bring gloves, something to sort your items and carry them like a shopping cart or large reusable bags. They have vending machines at the back read more

Do not work here if you're pregnant, to management its a inconvenience to them, very unsympathetic, not a good work environment. They don't care if you're being harassed or threatened by customers they do not care about your safety. Asked for basic accommodation like a chair they refused at first 4 times but after asking multiple times FOR BASIC PREGNANCY ACCOMMODATIONS they finally gave in. They simply do not care about you. This is the ultimate thrift store- not for the weak.. Most of the time employees are yelling at customers or each other, not in a hostile way it's just loud in there. You literally place everything you're buying on a scale before you pay because it's per pound. It's usually packed and some people aren't afraid to snatch something out of your hands and seriously bring gloves and hand sanitizer like it is literally a thrift shop junk yard. I personally love coming here, tons and tons of treasures for resellers and every day consumers and it's constantly changing almost by the hour. I've gotten a huge, beautifulrug for $3, a brand new Eddie Bauer leather jacket for $1, beautiful suitcases for $10.. the list goes on. Side note- there are no carts or baskets for you to shop with Side note 2- they encourage you to buy more by making it so that if you have over 26lbs of items, the price per pound drops. Get ready for an adventure if you're headed out to "The Bins". The Pay-By-The-Pound model is refreshing with the soaring prices local Goodwill stores have adopted. The Outlet is NOT for the weak. Sometimes it's utter pandemonium, but that's part of what makes the whole experience fun. You literally never know what you're going to find here. I have been going to the "bins" for several years and it was always an interesting experience. The thrill of the hunt, the excitement at finding a "lost" treasure, and the interesting people you would meet. But since they have started to remodel the building the experience has changed for the worse. The new bin conveyer is too close to the big blue bins creating bottlenecks where you physically can not pass someone. The fact that you can only dig from one side of the bins is annoying as well. In every other goodwill store that I have been in if you wanted to plug in an electronic item to see if it worked the staff would happily let you. But the one plug that was available to do that in the store has been blocked because and I quote "If you plug something in, it might blow up the building". I don't know if that was a very poor joke or a sad comment on the care that goodwill takes with their donated items. Last but not least is the staff. They have become increasing rude and hateful. No other retail store would stand for their attitudes. They are not happy that you are there to purchase their goods, no you are lucky that they tolerate your presence. Maybe I will try going back again in 6 months, by then the remodel should be done and hopefully their attitudes will have improved. read more

Lol at people complaining about having to dig through bins at an OUTLET store. If you're not a regular Goodwill shopper, this won't be your cup of tea, head back to the nearest mall for your sterile experience. I just visited for the first time. Spent a little less than $20 and my cart is full: brand new Ann Taylor tops, Ann Taylor LOFT jeans, DKNY jeans, new Talbots sweaters, J Crew tees, A Calvin Klein blazer, and lots more. Did I have to dig? Yup. Was there some gnarly stuff to dig through to find these goodies? Yup. Did I spend .49/pound which was about $.50/top? Yup. Compare that to the $50-90/top you'd pay at the store and I'm happy! Seemed to be a mix of regular Goodwill clothing, some good and some bad, just like any other Goodwill store. Mixed in were some definite steals though and I believe they came from an outlet store as many of the Ann Taylor sweaters I got were similar, just different colors. It takes some time, and actually, I prefer digging through bins versus dealing with clothing falling off racks that are too tightly stocked at most Goodwill stores. Customers were friendly, lots of families and elderly people who were budget shopping. The staff at the front counter were relaxed and friendly, albeit a little slow to check me out. All in all, if you have the time, some patience, a little luck, and an understanding of what thrifting and outlet stores involve, you'll like it. read more

Everything said about the Bins is true. Here are a couple thoughts for those who may be new to this adventure. 1. Don't expect there to be a cart available. Many bring their own large bags or market carts. 2. Grab a few bags at the front by the checkout BEFORE you start shopping. That way, all the little items you find will be ready for weighing when you are finished. You'll be surprised how handy and fast it will be when it's time to check out. You'll be doing the bagging anyway, and the people behind you in line will appreciate your forethought. 3. Courtesy is the rule, friend. Occasionally, you may find yourself closer physically to some individuals than you might be accustomed to. Don't worry. People do respect your space, but just don't take up too much space. Go as slowly as you like, but don't take up too much space doing it. 4. The items are changed out repeatedly throughout the day. You could stay all day and really load up, but few have the stamina for that. 5. Parking is not great at my location, so shopping early seems to be the best advice for getting a good spot. Weekday shopping, or even bad weather shopping may be good also. 6. Watch out for broken glass or sharp items especially in the housewares bins. Some would say wear gloves, but my best advice is: slow down, and look before you stick your hand down into something. 7. Bring something to drink. 8. Hand sanitizer is your friend. 9. A fanny pack is an awesome thing to own and use. You will have both hands free to move items around and search without the nagging fear of someone stealing your purse. 10. While your filling your cart, try to keep books with books, clothes with clothes. These items are sold per item, so it makes checkout go more smoothly. read more

I LOVE the Goodwill Outlet concept and have visited several in different states. This one is WAY below any of the others I've been in. I went expecting courteous employees, a great deal on bins of items to dig in, and walking out with a cart full of treasures....what I ended up with is being rudely herded like an animal, small bins only half full of mostly trash and broken items, and a VERY dirty environment. I might have walked out with one or two items - definitely NOT worth the effort. Plus, the one time I was able to find a few items, the cashier went through the basket and selected multiple items that she said weren't included in the price per pound. If they are not included, they need to be separated - not in the bins. Wanting to give the store the benefit of the doubt (I shopped at the outlet in Des Moines at least once a week) I returned - only to find it WORSE. I DO NOT recommend this place unless they clean up their act AND the store. read more

Absolutely terrible! I am fine with digging for a deal but this place is just gross. It's dirty and it's tubs of stained, broken and missing crap. When a new tub comes out, people flock and push and shove to get to it and an employee blows a whistle to signify they can approach! Just ridiculous. Most of the stuff there needs to grow straight to the dump. If you do go, take gloves and keep your valuables on your person. You will feel the need to take a long shower after leaving! read more

I have mixed feeling about this place, the first thing is everything is really cheap and only cost $1.49 per pound but the second is that you have to search through stuff to find things you like. That was one of the reason why I gave this place a three, it's cheap but can be time consuming. One thing I disliked is that there were five or six workers hanging out but only one was cashiering and when it hit 25 min prior to the store closing they told us to get in line. I really enjoyed it and found some really great stuff. I was amazed that this much good stuff still made it to the outlet. Yes, there was a lot of junk- but found great almost new purses, shoes, belts and household items. I had no expectations going in and was very pleased with my finds. Goodwill started lately a price policy on electronics, furniture, and such, that is absolutely outrageous. It goes like this: let's say, a coffee maker that until a few months ago could be purchased for up to $10, now has a label of "their price $40, our price $20". First of all, the same coffee maker can be found at Walmart or Big Lots for about $24 brand new. Second, Goodwill's price is ZERO. Nothing. Nada. All the stuff they sell is from donations. That is, free. The only thing they have to cover is functioning costs, everything else is profit. And these prices can go outrageously high, like pieces of furniture for $400 or higher. Furniture that is obviously donated. Goodwill is supposed to cater to people with low income, and now has antique and vintage store pricing. ON DONATED MERCHANDISE. If someone with low income has $400 and they need a vacuum, they will not buy a second-hand vacuum from Goodwill for that price, they will buy a $50 one from Walmart and will spend the rest on clothing and food. They still have cheap clothing and shoes, at least., Who knows for how long. Support the local thrift store, don't support a big company making profits from people's charity! I am definitely not going to donate anything anymore, not since I saw a piece of furniture I donated listed with a price higher than the one I purchased it for! read more
