I don't know why Centerville gets all the antique accolades - Cambridge City is really the goldmine as far as I'm concerned.

Some of the prices I found to be a little high in here but overall pretty nice little shop. They had a lot of varied items and I still found a couple of things I purchased. They had a clothing items, antiques, vintage items, and assorted other things. The clothes they had were both children and adults. On this day their credit card machine was down so I ended up having to run out to my vehicle to get my checkbook but it was all good after that. The lady at the counter was really nice and one of the items I bought was glass and she wrapped it nicely so it didn't break. I will probably venture back in here to see what they have another time.

Once you get in, it's a disaster. The "merchandise" is laying all over the place. Tons of old medicine bottles and boxes. If it falls off of the shelf, it remains on the floor. The building is unsafe. Should be condemned! The structure is unsafe and walls are crumbling. Weeds are growing through the wall where the plaster is falling. The town Post Office is connected to the building next door, probably the only reason why it hasn't been torn down. Upstairs, the ceiling is falling through.... There is a sign saying it's ok to dig through the boxes!! I was scared that a rat would surprise me! Dirty, stinky, trashy.... don't waist your time or your safety!

Their specialty is items that you would find in a drug store like over the counter beauty and medical treatments, and other pharmaceutical and personal care items. The proprietor said that the shop provides props for movie and television productions, and honestly, the shop itself looks like a movie set. So many items there that you never see anywhere, and they've got tons of each item stacked floor to ceiling in room after room. My daughter and I both made purchases: she got a box full of old makeup items (e.g. Don Juan lipsticks & some very early rare Max Factor items, etc.), one of the things she collects, and I found some vintage IHOP restaurantware in great condition. The prices were very fair. The shop itself is a bit cluttered but worth navigating. After sort of having my mind blown after seeing all the stuff they had (I don't know how else to describe it lol--it's an experience) I did some googling and learned that the proprietor wrote a book on drug store collectibles that I found on ebay. If this is the sort of collecting genre that interests you, or if you just want to go someplace different than you've ever been before, you should check them out.

They were very helpful in the frames department & gave us some suggestions on new matting. We left the picture with them & an hour later, they said it was ready. My son paid the $77 for the new frame & glass plus new matting as a Christmas present for his Dad. We were pleased with the quality of the work & the speed of getting it done. Old Coca-Cola and McDonalds collectibles. A 1920's typewriter, and old electronic items and signage. It's a little hard to find. Ask to see in back more interesting items including giant Rolex shaped Rolex display cases. We spoke with Larry Sr. who was funny and charming with lots of stories and jokes to tell. This was a highlight of our get-away weekend. The store was clean, well organized and full of nice items.

This location is particularly messy and while I have occasionally scored here, more often than not I'm let down. Their book department is almost all children's titles and cookbooks. Mostly work gear, men's jeans, plain T shirts, thick socks etc. This last visit I had success with some closeout Del Monte canned vegetables and tomato products but overall the food items don't really seem all that cheap. Disappointingly, they do not have even one electric scooter shopping cart for people with mobility issues. The staff members are very sweet and pleasant and there is usually an adequate number of them. It is fun to roam around in here every couple of months, as you might possibly find a hidden gem. Just don't get your hopes up too high. I would say if you have numerous small children on your gift list, you'll probably be satisfied.

While waiting in line, I was witness to an older lady being very agressive and hostile to another…read moreyounger, maybe new coworker about grabbing the wrong printer. The girl was obviously struggling and instead of teaching her the older lady raised her voice and told her she can't use that printer and that it was the wrong one, the girl calmly replied where she got it from and the older lady looked at her for a moment and continued to be agressive and rude stating she had to use her own printer (or something along those lines.) The line was busy enough that the other costumer getting checked out by the young girl told her she was doing a great job and some people should just be nicer to their coworkers and I totally agree. If this is what your employee treats others like in front of costumer I can't imagine what she does when no one's around. Coming from another retail associate I know what being looked down upon feels like just because older people think they have more authority than you and it's sad to see. Hopefully next time you can teach your employees to treat their coworkers with respect and uplift eachother instead of putting eachother down. I didn't see their name tags (the older lady's was flipped around) but I just want to give props to the young girl for handling the situation very maturely even though she looked flustered she did not give a reaction back and continuing to do her job.
