I recently moved to Richmond and have been searching for affordable, reasonably good-quality furniture that can last at least the three years I'll be working here. I've looked at furniture all over town, including Meijer, Ollie's and used furniture from Facebook Marketplace, and so far I've been the most satisfied with Goodwill's selection. I purchased a tan 2x2 cube storage shelf, a five-tier dark wood bookshelf, and a light wood chair. All three pieces cost me only about $30 total and are in fair to good condition. I'm especially happy with the cube shelf. It's practically like new! I also love the elegant design of the chair. All of the furniture pieces are sturdy. I just needed to wipe them down since they had been sitting for a while and had accumulated some dust. A special thank-you to Amanda, who helped load all three furniture pieces into my car. She did an amazing job fitting everything in! I'll definitely keep coming back for furniture. When I visited, there was a decent selection available, although I do wish there were even more furniture options. The store carries a much larger selection of clothing than furniture. Overall, though, I had a great experience and found exactly what I needed at a fantastic price. read more

Stopped by to drop off my donated items & decided to go in & look for a small kitchen table. It's a small store & their furniture selection is almost non-existent. I did end up spending a few dollars on small kitchen items. I'll return here to donate again soon & will probably go inside to check out new arrival items. read more

I visited the Richmond location over Christmas. I was very disappointed in the items on the shelving units. They were sooooo sloppily filled. It looked like the employees had just thrown the items onto the shelves. I was picking thru said shelves, when I accidently knocked a ceramic cup onto the floor, which broke into pieces & a few other unbreakables fell, along with the cup. I saw a little of the rest of the store, it was okay. Will not be visiting this store again. I love the Greenville Ohio store!!! It is very neat & organized for a smaller size store. I wish the Greenville store had a check-out system like Richmonds'. read more

So, I love a good thrift shop. I do love the smaller mom-and-pops best but I won't lie. I'm a regular ay Goodwill. The Richmond location is big; not the biggest I've seen, but big enough. Clothing is hit or miss. It is not uncommon to find only things that are stained, have holes or just plain ugly. But at times, good finds are to be had. I dabble in Cosplay, so I almost always have great luck finding clothes and potential costume pieces to be repurposed. The toy and household departments are commonly a wreck but I find good deals fairly often. My child, lover of all things "Build A Bear" finds a bargain about 80% of the time. Oh, and while at times the prices are a bit too steep for "used goods", they do have "half off Saturdays" once a month. So, I do like this Goodwill. It's not my favorite thrift shop, but I'm a regular. read more

This Goodwill is okay. It's large-ish, kind of smelly and somewhat disorganized. The baby clothes section is abysmal - don't even bother. They almost never have decent furniture, and what they do have seems overpriced. One of the nicest things about Goodwill as a whole is that Target dumps off its unsold clearance items here, so you can get a bunch of really nice, brand-new stuff for at least half of what you'd pay at the lowest clearance price in the actual store. For that reason, I've scored great home decor items, clothes and shoes here, but the other stuff is pretty forgettable. read more

Nice big store. Easy drop offs. Good prices on some items. Close to storage facilities. I haven't had a bad experience here.

Pretty good size store. Very friendly staff. We can almost always find a bargain at a goodwill store. This one was no exception.
