This is the brand new CAP thrift store, located in a previous Pier One store. There was a sign on…read moredoor saying Holiday stuff 25% off. I found a few things including MN Twins Zubaz pants, elf from elf on a shelf, vintage felt Santa, pig tail barbecue turner new in box, Justin Timberlake 20/20 CD, and a wooden log foot stool or shoe rack. The staff was super friendly. The prices weren't ridiculously high. There are bathrooms at the back right corner of the store. There were small half carts and the rolling baskets. Parking was plentiful. The store is super clean and not cluttered. Stop in and maybe you'll find a treasure or 2 or 3.

I was intrigued to find some brand new holiday merchandise from well-known retailers, including Target - and enjoyed that one wall was devoted to all holidays (meaning you can purchase Halloween items now). There is a no-refund, no-return policy for most items - electronics for sure - so I did walk away from a $10'dehydrator. All in all, a fun spot to walk around, but prices seemed a bit steep. Cons: incredibly expensive for what it is, and incredibly overpriced for a thrift shop/antique shop. Clothing wise, there was nothing under 20$ (except the 10$ rack which.... Honestly had cute stuff, but mostly a ton of weird stuff). 25$ for every clothing item would be on parr with many retail stores, so for a thrift store? That's super expensive. I've been to thrift stores selling the same quality items where nothing was over 10$, expect for some jewelry and a pair of cowboy boots. For the quality of the items - they should be listed at least under 15$. Items I found had minor stains on them (some due to age, some due to questionable sources). A shirt I really liked had tiny specs of something on top, which I would have been fine wearing after a wash, but buying outright for 25$? Um... not really... I'm bad with money, but not that bad. I also found a shirt with a hole in it listed for 22$... and I did end up buying it because I can maybe crop it or hem it, but 22$ for something with a hole in it? That's a bit crazy, and I probably should not have bought it. (Plus when I asked for a discount due to the damage on the stained shirt and the shirt with the small hole, I was told no. So... Yeah, I mean do with that information what you will.) I understand it's second hand items and they won't be in perfect condition, but the benefit of shopping secondhand is you can often get 3-6 items for the price of one. I spent 42$ on a pair of shorts and a sweater (which, again the sweater had a hole in it and the jeans were clearly worn and old (fraying, more natural aging, etc)! I vaguely regret getting it... but hey ). 42$ for two things is the same amount I can spend to get the same thing at a Target. Sadly probably won't go back, but it was cute to step in once!

Honestly, for a thrift place, things were remarkably well organized and not in too bad of disarray-- I've seen A LOT worse, lol. It was also pretty big, so I was there awhile scrounging the aisles. You will find a fair amount more clothing and footwear that's female-coded than male-coded in this store (I use those terms simply because I don't think clothing is restricted to gender-- I'm a guy who wears both "men's" and "women's" stuff). The ratio is skewed in that direction though, just to let you know. There's also plenty of children's stuff. And knick-knacks galore. Furniture, electronics, kitchenware. Just lots and lots of your typical thrift shop stuff. It was hopping inside. Possibly because it was Tuesday, which is Senior Discount Day (20% off), but yeah, people were enjoying looking around. I'm always glad to see people thrifting and reusing stuff that still has life in it. I personally came out of the shop with some nearly-new winter shoes for under twenty dollars, plus some very affordable thank you cards + envelopes! I was pretty happy.

The surprise is that it is non profit supporting charities and churches by over Two million. The prices are less than normal thrift stores for clothing but the furniture they gave us the gem! Parking outside, volunteer staff and a story that dreams can come true and Gods grace surely over this place helping so many organizations, churches and people! Parking available. No returns.
