**June 2025: Saturday Morning Visit** This was my FAVORITE thrift shop in Minneapolis. There were just so many treasures to be found and at pretty reasonable prices. Items are all individually priced and on my visit several of my items were half off! Below are what items I got and the pricing White short boots $3 Red short sleeve sweater $3.99 Khaki shorts $2.99 Pink puff sleeve top $3.99/2 = $2, Black evening sequin jacket $6.99/2 = $3.50 Total: $15.48 Obviously every trip to a charity shop is a treasure hunt, but I think the clientele that must donate here all may come from well-to do families because there were some really great things. There were a couple of designer dresses that I really loved but unfortunately were to small. *cries* Suffice to say this St Vincent De Paul is a great shop to patron! Enjoy! read more

Love this place! They are what thrift stores should be about. Great prices and the most friendly staff. It also seems like everyone in the store knew each other which made me smile while I was shopping. They have great discount days too, today green tags were 50% off. Picked up 2 wool scarves, a calendar, and some Easter decor for $11. I found a pair of TIBI jeans (valued at $499!!) for $19.99 but they were too small, so sad! The parking on a Saturday is a bit wild because of the restaurants next store but if you go into the neighborhood they'll be open spots. read more

Love the size of the shop. Not too big but still has a nice variety of items. Usually pretty good quality in clothing. Furniture pretty good shape. I bought a magic bullet and it came with at least 10 cups in different sizes covers too and extra blades . They test their appliances too. As with any thrift store what they offer varies greatly. In one wall they have big drawers that hold bras basically grouped by size, other undies for men and women. I still wear masks and have even found big new packages of them here. I find their prices lower than Goodwill. No off street parking but I have never had a problem with parking. read more

Things here were priced very reasonably, and a pretty good selection. Not the biggest shop, but they had craft supplies, clothes, home goods, and more. read more

Diverse merchandise. Good for men and women. Mostly prices quite reasonably. Worth a look.

This is my favorite thrift store! Reasonably priced, great finds and it's for a good cause. This is great for walking around on west 7th and it is right by a couple great coffee shop. They have furniture, shoes, art supplies, housewares, and clothing and it is all amazingly organized. They do close at 4 on week days and are not open on Sunday. read more

I have always loved the window of glasses, but have never found anything worth purchasing here. Well organized, but lacks anything worthwhile and prices are inconsistent. We made a donation here recently and who ever was handling donations in the back was a little off putting and not prepared to be doing intake. I am honestly not sure how this place stays open, will likely continue to wander through when I'm in the neighborhood because I am driven by curiosity. read more

Best. Thrift Store. St Vincent de Paul is probably one of the most, if not the most affordable thrift store in the metro area, in fact probably the only one I've been to in the last few years that actually yields the sort of prices you'd expect from a thrift store. The selection at this location (which I'm hoping is the St. Paul store) is ever changing and is consistent on having quality as well as being unique. Being someone who likes to sew and create.. well some sort of versions of "art" I would HIGHLY recommend this store to any of you creative types out there! I also find it helpful to stroll through the store when I'm brainstorming a new project because I get new ideas throughout this store. Its definitely worth checking out. and someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe unlike many other thrift stores in the area, I think they are mainly if not just for charity and not profit, but again, please do correct me if I'm wrong. read more

Great thrift! Have some good finds and it's larger than I expected. Parking is a little sparse so be prepared for either a walk or a tight parallel park. read more

Glad to help an organization that helps others! Found a cool southwestern looking woven blanket and a cream colored heavy sweater throw for $8, both in great condition. Completely different experience at this SVDP store than in St Louis: much smaller, less inventory. read more

Well the store looked good from the outside. As soon as I walked in I was spoken to rudely by the staff behind the counter. I took that as a sign to not spend any money here. I recommend that you look to other thrift stores if you want to be treated like a human being. Too bad too because I don't think that is how Saint Vincent would have treated me. read more

This place has everything. Literally. Don't forget to open the drawers behind the women's clothing. Girdles, tights, socks, underwear, and a lot of it archaic or interesting although still in very good shape (hah) exist in those drawers. To my great amusement, the friend that accompanied me on my last visit purchased an almost full box of tampons for $2 that she found in one of the drawers. The selection of less-bizarre clothing and household items is very broad. In the past I have found some really great dresses and my mom has a really rad winter coat. The prices are absurdly good across the board. As I'm sure you can tell, I mostly love this shop for the oddities. There are quite a few: eye cup for medications? solo plastic baby Jesus lawn ornament? half a blender? a corner full of religious books with a sign asking customers to rat out some religious book vandal if spotted? all present and more. I don't shop here often but it's a joy every time. read more

I am always looking for a good deal and this is place that I ususual find what I am looking for. From clothes, shoes, dishes and collectable this is the place to go. Don't get me wrong you have to do some searching and digging but it is worth it, and once in a while I end up empty handed. Saturdays they give away bread, muffins and sweets, get there early they for best selection, but they are free. They come from Lunds and the Breadsmith. Yum read more

This is one of my favorite thrift stores. You do have to be familiar with the "old school" style of thrift to understand. They keep it very clean but it is crowded and there are many, many different people shopping there. This is why I love it, they serve those in need by cheap prices and I even saw them give someone an outfit once because he asked. I know some people are die hard Goodwill fans but I can guarantee they would not hand someone an outfit if they asked. They also have cool vintage and all sorts of awesome stuff. read more

My favorite thrift shop in St. Paul. Exceptionally friendly staff and manager, in a shop that's small enough that they remember you and greet you when you come in. I like being able to find good-quality books for 75¢ apiece, and the occasional treasure. The earlier review that slammed St. V de Paul as "dirty, smelly" etc. must be from someone who wants to keep this treasure to himself; if it were "smelly", I couldn't go in at all, as I'm allergic to odors and can't wear perfumes. A great place to contribute your good used items, and an equally good place to shop. read more

I've been going to St. Vincent's for six years now, since I didn't live in Minnesota before that, haha. I've known the different salespeople and managers there for about as long. I love their store. It is not that they have a big variety of things or that they have things at unbelievable prices, it is that they run the store as if it belongs to the neighborhood, which it kind of does. They always have a small food shelf for people to grab bread or other items, they are always smiling and always say hello to people. What else could one ask for? They are very reasonable with pricing and always have new things on the shelves. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be wearing some of the nice clothes and shoes that I own. Or have bought my coffeemaker, or my iron, or even my shelves. For me, they are a store that carries most of the items I need on a day to day basis, at prices I can afford. This is a wonderful lil gem of a thrift store. The women who owns it (I don't know her name?) is so passionate about her store. She is full of kindess and love, and seems to know many of her customers by name.. I use to donate my clothes to the Goodbwill, but I now donate to Vincent's. It's not a chain corporation looking to profit. I have witnessed a store employee giving a coat to a homeless man. They give discounts to abused women looking for clothes when starting a new job/adventure in life. They also have bread, muffins, and sweets they give out for free for the early shoppers. It's a wonderful place, even if I don't find something to purchase in it, the love in the store makes the trip worth while. read more

Although I am reading reviews that prices are higher here; it is a smaller more intimate store, and the merchandise is top rate. After going through the warehouse Goodwill's for their half off days Saturdays, it was so much easier to browse. The employees are very helpful and again, there is a completely different inventory than the miles of items at Goodwill. I still will check out the others because I am a bargain hunter and save a lot. Got two Tommy Bahamas for about $3 each. Perfect condition. What looked like an antique dressing table with custom mirror, dresser and twin headboard and frame for $400 - and if it's still there the last weekend of the month it's 50% off. Unique! read more

I love this place! It is my favorite thrift shop and I have been going there for many years. I always seem to find some little treasure whenever I visit. This is a non-profit store that serves a good, solid, diverse community, and it is run by a person who treats every customer with respect. Grab a cup of coffee at the great new coffee shop next door and do a little shopping at St. Vincent's. And, if you are in the mood to spend a lot of money, you can always go to Sophie Jo's. read more

My experience with St. Vinnie"s has been excellent. The prices are very reasonable and much lower than Goodwill. It is the first place I shop when I need anything plus I stop by to browse every two or three weeks! Everyone I've sent to St. Vinnie's has been satisfied. read more
