It appears they need to stencil "compact" on many of their stalls in the parking lot. Parking my van was difficult. Many of the workers ran right into me, some appologizing, some not. They must have been terribly behind in order to completely disregard their customers like that. Super bizarre. I found a nice ensemble I wanted to purchase after combing the store and finally had to use the restroom. There are large signs that say "restroom", pointing down a corridor. After traveling all the way down the corridor, the door was locked, with a sign that said to see an associate. I walk back towards the store from the corridor and see the mistake . . . There indeed were signs in the hallway that specified a code was needed, but in a small font, shadowed by the huge restroom font with arrows. After the parking, getting ran Into multiple times by employees, walking down a long corridor to poop, just to have it locked with small signage, I left my products and walked immediately out of the door. I probably wont visit for a couple years so that they can terminate, retrain, resign, etc. If you like associates completely disrespecting you and running into you, this is your store! read more

The prices here are crazy but I LOVE when I find brands they know nothing about, that are incredibly pricey new, for dirt cheap. I LOVE IT. We live out in the boonies, and stop by when we're in silverdale for something, most of the time I can walk out with something I've been looking at new, for very condition here and cheap. I went one time for their red tag sale, the shelves loaded with junk, nothing good had red tags, that was probably the only time I walked out with absolutely nothing, so I think that's telling. They also sell stainless steel pots, USED, for $25. That's robbery. I can get a brand new stainless steel pot at the TJ MAXX close by, in fact, I did after leaving here. AND it had a lid, which you can't get a solid pair here. Everything's super overpriced in general but I do have to say they have a lot of stuff, good stuff, stuff you can't find at the local goodwill in our small town, so that's why we come back. Update on my previous reviews, this goodwill still sucks. Its sad-- the employees are much nicer and better than previously, but management sucks and they are slaves to corporate policies. They have zero holiday spirit and refused customer recognition for an outstanding employee that had changed my view of them, citing that I was not allowed to tip and employee. Any other place in Silverdale would have been fine, but this place sucks. I try to go to the Silverdale Goodwill whenever I head on down to the Costco, since it's right across the street from it. The store is clean, the employees are nice and helpful, and they usually have pretty great things available. I have found plenty gems here! The only reason I don't make it a point to go more often than not, is the pricing. They overprice on about 80% of their items. I understand they are trying to make a profit, but when you find something for $19.99 and they sell it new for $25, it doesn't really make you feel like you're winning here. They often have a great selection of shoes, but again, too many are overpriced. I understand they are name brands, but when they are used and worn, and DONATED, they have to be realistic. Their dresses, pants and blouses are also a bit overpriced, and paying $9.99 just seems a bit too much for a used blouse. But like I said, I have found a few gems here. You have to really dig around, come on the 'sale color' day, and know your brands. I feel like unknown famous brands can be overlooked and that's when you get a decent deal. Example: A pair of suede high heel Aquatalia boots for $39.99. Or Aquatalia suede booties for $19.99. If you don't know the brand, then you will be like, $40 bucks for boots! But luckily, if I find something in my size and I FEEL the quality, I google and snatch them up. They also recently took away their jewelry counter, so now you have to dig through little plastic bags with jewelry, which really sucks and is time consuming. The jewelry counter was such a selling point for me, since you often found great necklaces and earrings and were out of that section within 15 minutes. But if I only have a half hour to spend, I don't want to spend it moving baggies around tight little racks. (I posted some of my finds. Please don't judge my MacGyver Jewelry display! Haha) I'll tell you, if they lowered their prices, they would become a solid 4.5. I'd overlook the jewelry counter, and how tightly they pack certain rows of clothing. We tried to enter the parking lot to donate some items but being unfamiliar with the location and the entrance we came in the wrong way. We ended up blacked in all directions. Some woman employee came out yelling and screaming at us. Half her face was covered in a birthmark. She would not listen to my excuse for coming in the wrong way she just kept yelling. So being totally embarrassed by the public scene she made , we left. If this is the class of employee at this site we will never shop nor donate here. A few years ago, I liked this Goodwill much better. It was easier to find little treasures and practical items. There's a lot of junk there now and far fewer decent items. I have no doubt that this is because goodwill takes the better vintage items and some collectibles and lists them on their two websites. This greatly reduced my shopping enjoyment here, and I rarely go now. They also overprice a lot of things which is really frustrating because they are still listed as a nonprofit and get millions of dollars in donations for free! Today I went to goodwill and noticed 400$ items, decor for over 50$ cheap small furniture for over 100$ and I don't wanna talk about how expensive used clothes were. I was stunned to see how high the prices are for used, damaged, and dusty items that this company got for free. What happened? The prices at this store are higher than the other goodwill stores I frequent. Some items cost 3 times what I can get at other stores. Toy section is small and often they put expensively marked items in there. I don't shop there anymore. The prices are aimed at Bainbridge Island folks ( the richest folks in Kitsap County). People less fortunate find it hard to find clothing and other necessities they can afford. The Bremerton store has more reasonable prices. The parking lot is terribly small. My favorite Goodwill. It's always clean, lots of cute clothes, and big fitting rooms. However, if you're returning an item (must be within 7 days from purchase with original tags and receipt needed), they will issue a store credit for your return. Be sure to keep the receipt in case the card doesn't work. I learned the hard way and threw out my receipt. When I tried to use the gift card later, they said it had zero balance. read more

No bike racks to secure an Electric bike or scooter. Tried to park my electric transportation inside as I have done before but was rudely told I don't care there is no bike rack and need to park outside which will most likely get stolen. I told the employee thanks for nothing and will not shop there again. Alternative electric transportation is the future and business who do not accommodate will not get my business period. The younger gentleman with longer hair & tattoos is just straight rude & obnoxious to put it kindly. I literally try to avoid the store when he's there, or his line if he happens to be there. I've had him talk complete crap about customers to me who were in front of me in line multiple times. They've changed the line for about a million times since Covid & he will literally call you out, loudly, make you feel like a total idiot, on purpose, if you're in the line incorrectly. The woman I ended up checking out with looked like she was in an awkward situation when he did it. He also took a handful of customers who were in the line incorrectly before customers who were in the correct line area already waiting. He's been there for a while & I am not the only person who agrees with my statement. The store is getting better with pricing, but it's still extremely overpriced for the most part. Ugh, this store. We were so excited when we pulled up, because it looks huge from the outside and we'd never been in, but it's a complete Hellmouth on sale days. Maybe it's better during less crazy times? I don't think I'll bother to go back and find out. It looks like a former grocery store or something, to give you an idea of the size, and yet the selection was mysteriously limited. For example, the bath & beauty and craft/sewing "departments" were just one side of one single shelf, with hardly any stuff. The housewares sections were fairly small, too. They have a LOT of brand-new accessories and housewares, as Goodwills tend to do now. So the floor looks large and fully stocked, but over and over I kept thinking, "This is all they've got?" The biggest drawback to this store is how much stuff they've put in the no-discounts black-tag "Fashion Focus" department. In most Goodwills, it will be a small area at the front of the store, separate from the women's department. Here, it takes up at least HALF of the women's clothes, including almost all the dresses. Fashion Focus is intended for designer and higher-end labels, but they had regular stuff like Eddie Bauer, Columbia, or Ann Taylor items -- in any other store, those would be with the regular women's clothes and eligible for colored tag discounts. So that's pretty lame. On the other hand, the men's clothes selection was apparently pretty great, with lots of good sweaters and shirts that weren't stuck in Fashion Focus discount jail. My boyfriend found quite a few good items here, including a cashmere cardigan. The women's coats selection is also good and located in the regular colored-tag section. The shopping experience was also pretty awful. The parking lot seems big, but it's hard to get in and out of, and it was completely full because of the sale. The store was overcrowded and everyone seemed to be irritable and bad-mannered -- blocking aisles with their big shopping carts, ignoring their screaming kids, pushing past rudely, etc. Lines were long, because they don't use the feeder system, and checkout moved painfully slowly. It's kind of funny now that we were SO thrilled to discover this giant Goodwill, and by the end we couldn't wait to leave and never come back. Don't go out of your way for this one. read more

As a kid long ago, the Goodwill was a place to find treasures. Now it has so little that stands above yard sale leftovers. I don't bother to look through all the clothes and maybe someone who is interested in that would find something exciting, I wouldn't know. But as for anything useful for household use, forget it, it's all stuff you'd be ashamed to give the Goodwill. Or all the geegaws and decorations, if anything could be pulled loose of that stuff and thrown in the recycle bin, that's its only chance at value. Books, gimme a break, it's like hobos brought them books found in garbage bins. It all makes me wonder if there is a "higher market" than the general public to which anything accidentally good gets siphoned away. It's not a matter of being well picked through in the store, brand new arrivals are always the same utter rubbish. And yet for some reason I still like to poke around and now and then I do find something. Once there were a bunch of wooden cigar boxes, some of them not even all marked up with too many unremovable tax stamps and stickers. They weren't cheap unless you knew what they CAN sell for, and I got them all. And I like to look at the largely unimpressive shelves where they have shot glasses, or the shelf of votive candle holders, because now and then there's a really collectible one and it might only be 99 cents. I use them for tiddlywinks! Such things are hardly treasures but I was delighted to find them, and it will keep me a customer until I'm too old to drive anywhere ever again. We have been shopping (and donating to) the Silverdale Goodwill for over a decade and it is clear that the Goodwills in this area are fundamentally better than most other locations nation-wide. What they do right: turnover - if you're going to come to goodwill with any regularity you need to have high turnover of goods so people still find new things, and the way the goodwill rotates through the colors and liquidates items the Monday after they've been around for 4 weeks is a pristine example of a good turnover plan. (Note: this was recently tweaked, with goods on the 5th Monday now being a percentage off now instead of $.99, we will see if this affects things). One of the best deals at goodwill for the long term WAS canning jars for $.10; when they come in they'd go out just as quickly. Recently management upped that price to $.49 a jar, comparable to the new price - and now guess what, jars sit on the shelves. Same with books - paperback books used to be $.99, this was a reliably good deal and we would shop paperbacks all the time, at the new price, we don't even go to that section anymore. People need those cheap deals to look for to keep them coming back, and I would implore management to reconsider these changes for their success, because if someone is coming in for a $.10 Jar they are still likely to buy a $49 clock they see - and the profit from that one higher-price item is more value to the org than 'loss' from as many $.10 jars as someone would bother to fill up their cart with. read more

The dressing room lines were very long though so get everything you're interested in trying on first and then make one big trip to try stuff on otherwise you'll spend a lot of time waiting to get back in there. My word, where do I begin? This place is amazing!!!!!!!!! I regularly find high end clothing, shoes, and household goods here for extremely discounted prices. Despite all my treasured Columbia, Lulu Lemon and Kavu duds, my favorite thing to find here is luxurious bubble bath! I pay pennies on the dollar for at home spa soaks. Check it out and definitely buy what you think you want. They have a return policy so you have no regrets and I promise if you don't buy it when you are there...someone else will! Well, it's a Goodwill. It's pretty much standard around the globe. This one is actually pretty clean. I hardly ever see heavily dusty things, and the floor is always dry (which is saying a lot for a place in the PNW rainforest). The parking lot sometimes sucks, but I also drive an enormous RAM, so I only blame myself. The staff is always polite and way more helpful than a lot of other thrift stores. You need to be diligent about knowing prices because sometimes things are marked up more than they should be. I do have a friend that has successfully bartered employees down to an acceptable price. I haven't tried it because I'm not that hardcore. Overall it's always a pleasurable experience sifting through the shelves here. read more

Extremely well organized. Clean. However, their prices are just about the same as buying the product new. I didn't see that much of a savings. For example: I recently bought a brand new plush throw blanket from Costco for $9.99. The used plush throw blankets at this Goodwill are the same exact price! I also checked out their glass mason jar style glasses with handles: $2.99 apiece. They are 4/$10 brand new at Michael's. So they're actually MORE expensive used at this goodwill! :/ Their twin size box springs (for mattresses) are $99...you can get those free or for $20 on FB Marketplace or OfferUp! If you shop here, know that your money is mostly going to support a good cause not really saving you much. I did pick up a used jacket for $35...but I had also seen similar coats brand new at Costco for $39. read more

I went in today and wanted to buy an old AirPort Extreme that was donated; and noticed the power adapter was priced separately at $20 like the unit. I thought this wouldn't be a problem because I've purchased electronics with the same situation at other Goodwills. It caused a lot of trouble though, because the cashier would NOT sell the two for $20 despite being connected to each other when I found them, and matching exactly. I don't remember her name but she has the blue dyed hair, and she's been very smug with me and my mom in the past. She called in an associate and cut me off when I tried to explain the situation. The associate went to talk to a price person in the back because she couldn't do anything about it. The price person didn't understand the products and refused to reprice. So, a manager got called in, and she wouldn't or couldn't do anything. Apparently this is all because they were priced separately, because the price person may have found them separately. THEN WHY WERE THEY ATTACHED TO EACH OTHER?! I call BS on that, even more so because like I said, I HAD NO ISSUES WITH MULTIPLE ELECTRONICS LIKE THIS AT OTHER GOODWILLS! A cashier even LET ME take a power adapter I used to test a music keyboard with! This experience was just very frustrating and hurtful as someone who has been going to Goodwill for a decade. I love thrifting, but the two times I've been to this location it has been so crowded that it hasn't been a fun experience. It has the experience of feeling like a mad house, people everywhere, lines out the door, lines of cars to donate goods (I even brought things to donate but didn't want to wait in such a long line). NOW, everything there is cheap and the prices much higher. The price you pay for used clothing there is not much better than a low-end department store. A 5-star review for a thrift store? Come on. No, really. Be serious. For real! This place is big as a department store. It actually used to be like a Linens-n-Things or something similar. And it's filled, wall to wall. The place is like Walmart - you go in for one thing, and leave with a bagfull. This is by far the best/biggest Goodwill I've ever been to. I love the ones in Seattle that have super-trendy shoes or housewares, but those are 2 hours from me. This one is right near home, with a decent (if not impressive) selection of pretty much everything you can shop for. And clean - oh my gosh, clean. With clothes actually organized by size. This place is set up like an actual store, not like a thrift store. I love that. Truly, there's nothing more frustrating than a thrift store so disorganized you can't find what you need even if it's right in front of you. I have gotten great deals on books and trendy clothing countless times. I've even returned things twice with no trouble at all (keep your receipt). At the register, the staff is usually conversational, although not particularly speedy. And be nice to the lady at the jewelry counter - she's the one you need to get into the fitting room, and she seems to have rules you have to figure out in order to be let in. She's not particularly intuitive (example: seeing a person standing in front of the dressing room with clothes, and realizing they need in. Not a skill she posesses.) You will not find a cleaner thrift store anywhere. The selection of items here was really great. I found a men's single-breasted wool overcoat for $12.50. My son found a Thomas the Tankengine clubhouse tent, and my wife found out that they have brand new toe socks on the shelves there. The counter lady said that the store manager was really anal about cleanliness and that the store should be clean and look more like a department store. If you go to this store with it's great selection of items, clean and wide isles, and great prices, how could you go wrong? My family and I just moved from Honolulu, and were surprised at how good this store was because we are used to seeing thrift stores that smelled funny or were really dusty or dirty. Anyone who shops secondhand stores should know the selections varies from store to store and not 2 stores are the same. To think you'll find the same thing at a different store is absurd! if you are willing to dig through used items you can find some awesome items. Example: I found a quilted Gap kids jacket size 12-18 Months with the tag still attached for only $4.99!!!! Yes it was 3 seasons old but my baby isn't going to have a clue- hey that's a savings of over 90% from its retail value!!! I like the selection of baby clothes- it is a lot better than their children's section. Your regular trinkets can be found here.
