Amazing people the staff are helpful and the management is amazing there's always a sale and always something new

The location of this store has changed. As of July 2023, it has moved just half a mile down to the road to 1328 Hooksett Rd. where the old Cowabunga's used to be. Note that this location does NOT TAKE DONATIONS. You can no longer drop things off at this location. The closest Goodwill to take donations is the Manchester location on John Devine Dr. Other than a new location, it's still the same Goodwill as it was. They do have a huge selection, so that is a plus. But beyond that, it has just gotten so ridiculously overpriced that good deals are no longer to be had. I even have the Club Goodwill card and you have to spend $75 to even hit the 20% off mark. It's nuts. I am appalled that donated men's active wear is now up to $22 for name brands. I mean REALLY. We're talking USED GYM CLOTHES. $22 for used gym clothing is absolutely laughable. They've lost their minds. If you want a real thrift store, go across the street to Corey's Closet (just left of the Taco Bell/KFC) and find a wonderful selection with true thrift prices and a wonderful staff. They will happily take your donations there. read more

Goodwill Industries operates this large thrift store, which just opened up at the Shoppes at Hooksett Landing, closing its former location at the "Wal-Mart/Shaw's" Plaza up the road. There's also a drive thru donation drop-off at this location. This bright and clean Goodwill Store offers plenty of new and used goods including apparel for women, men, and children, footwear, toys, games, music, movies, books, accessories, home decor, housewares, electronics, furniture, and much more, at BARGAIN PRICES! The donated goods sold here are of decent quality and not trashy. Dress pants and jeans ($4.99-$5.99) are a bargain! I was here for the July 31st grand opening and ribbon cutting and the place got pretty crazy with a mob of customers, swarming the books, toys, dishes, and artwork. I picked out some "For Dummies" books (99 cents each), and used CDs & VHS movies ($1.99 each). I just picked up an old CD by Midi Maxi & Efti for $1.99, which I'm now bopping out to while I cruise down the highway. "Bad, bad boys, come with me, come with me.. yeah, ahh hah, ahh hah.." It's a pretty catchy one hit wonder! Anywho, I also enjoy shopping at other Goodwill stores to find more great bargains because I never know what I'm going to find. I can't say in all my time I have come in here I have ever got too excited about anything other than leaving. A couple of times I got someone's record collection or a couple of vintage glasses but never any lamps or furniture or anything that I would expect or hope to find. Most of the time just a quick in and out. Odd dynamic of people that work here and show here sometimes it's hard to tell the difference. Stepped out of the car to donate. Woman yells "Future reference; don't get out of your car until I call you". She huffs over, grabs the bag out of my hand saying...I'll take it this time". Everyone in line was agape. Maybe a little effort being decent to people would make everyone's day go more smoothly. read more

Overall a good thrift store that looked relatively tidy. I appreciated the hand sanitizer that they provide at the store entrance. They had some pretty interesting items in their big household section. However I felt uneasy the whole time I was looking around. Maybe because I didn't buy anything the staff felt like I was trying to steal something.. I felt definitely some animosity. I was with some other people who did make a purchase and the staff didn't look any happier to see them. There's plenty of other thrift stores to check out besides this one. read more

After frequenting the Manchester and Hooksett Goodwill locations, I'd rate the Hooksett one slightly higher in terms of overall cleanliness, staffing, and selection. They're both decent. I have noticed prices climb a little in recent years, which is unfortunate. You can still find some bargains, but have to be willing to hunt, which is kind of the point of Goodwill hunting...err, shopping :) It's hit or miss. read more

i used to love this place. now their prices are so high that it actually makes me angry to go there now. i understand the need to raise prices a little bit. but the majority of the things are donated. and it's not like GoodWill is paying their employees any more because of it. Goodwill is not a department store. they need to stop pricing their items as if they are. the 'handpicked' prices are a joke as well. i won't be going to hooksett or manchester goodwills anymore. it's not fun when everything is so overly priced. read more

I went to donate and no one came out. I proceeded to put a bag of clothing in the drop off. A man comes out telling me that I have to wait so he can look over all of my clothing. He said "we might not want them". Are you kidding me? Your going to sort through my clothing? I also had a nice vintage suitcase. He said it was too old to sell. This store continues to get worse with every manager change! Donate to your local church people, they appreciate it!! read more

Prices were good they had barely any selection inside though. We pulled up with a truck full of furniture and asked if it was good to be taken, the lady out front said yes and we proceeded to unload the entire truck. Only as we began to leave did a second woman come out and tell us that the pieces most pieces were stained so they would not take those, and only after we loaded those in did they tell us they wouldn't take the rest since it didn't make a full set, so we then needed to reload and pack up all of it. Wouldn't take anything from the rest of the line, wouldn't have us move out of the way, and wasted everyone's time. If you mess up own the mistake and just deal with it or get your staff on on the same page. read more

If I could give these clowns 0 stars I would. I showed up with a car full of donations for them and the rudest woman ever started taking the stuff out then scowled at me and said "I am going to stop you RIGHT THERE! I am not taking ANY of this stuff" then scowled and walked away. I was trying to give them stuff FOR FREE to sell and was treating like a piece of you know what. No thanks in the future. Not happy with any Goodwill stores lately. These were supposed to be stores that you could shop at if you were low on money but needed something like some clothes for your kids, or even school supplies. Walking around with my ten year old daughter, even she noticed things were overpriced. We found ourselves asking "Why are things so high priced when people are donating these items for free?" Because now they're all about making huge profits to pay their CEOs. Two shirts cost me almost $20. I could likely get a similar deal in a department store, so why should I shop here? Employees that I've dealt with have been anything other than friendly. Snapping because someone didn't show up for their shift, and upset because they had to pick up the slack. Unprofessional to voice that loudly around your customers. Since I can get clothes for the same price, or cheaper, in the clearance section at department stores, I'm just going to stick with department stores in the future and for all my future donations (our household donates a lot every season, both good clothing and children's toys) I will instead either ask around and give it to someone so I know it is helping someone out or I'll bring it to an ACTUAL thrift store. Let's get real, Goodwill is no longer a thrift store and it hasn't been for quite some time. read more

I don't think I have ever seen a thrift store as organized and neat at this one. When I go here I don't even remember I am in a thrift store! They have a large selection of gently worn clothes and shoes, and it seems like they get inventories of new products that maybe didn't sell at a retail store. Prices range from 5-8 dollars for most clothes, unless you get them on sale. read more

I wish I could give the Hooksett location a "0" star rating. I went to drop off clothing on a Sunday and had an interaction with the RUDEST employee at the drop off door. There were at least 4 cars in line when I arrived and with a screaming child in my car, my husband walked our two bags of donations to the door. The employee then proceeded to ask is we could "f***ing read" because the sign (that we could not see) was blocked by the other cars in line. My husband mentioned that we couldn't see the sign and he was just going to leave the bags on the curb and he returned to the car. When we were driving off, that same employee began walking towards the car and continued to yell and cuss at us. I asked what her name was and she told me (yelled) that it was "Buck S**t". I went in to talk with management, and the manager on duty said that she was going to address it, and I am hopeful she did. I can absolutely appreciate that it was busy and that may have contributed to a high stress day...but, if someone is donating FOR FREE things to sell in your store (for a profit), you should probably be a bit nicer. I will not be returning to this store. read more

Goodwill is like an old school grab bag, you might find something of value or just plain neat, but on the whole you'll be throwing away most of what you get with the brown bag you found it in. Three stars is fair considering their clean and organized facility, but I can't give more for the aforementioned. read more

I go out of my way to go to Hooksett and bypass another store far closer. The store is wel organized, clean, for the most part the clothes are sized correctly and the staff are friendly and helpful. Only problem is I've spent way more than I intended when I walked in but the Goodwill Card takes 10% off. Great store. read more

What can I say, I dig Goodwill. After my Mom passed and we donated her clothes to Goodwill, I realized that there might be some good stuff inside so I checked it out. I was very surprised to see a clean well lit store with tons of cool stuff! I am constantly finding great electronics to use or resell on eBay. Lots of cool clothes for cheap, and many other things like stuff you had as a kid and thought you would never see again. I am always stopping to see what's there. read more
