This office does not care about patients. Just the money. I have waited for hours in the past to see the doctor, yet today I was running a little late so I called the office to inform them. NEVER EVER go to Kenneth Goolsby's off in Gainesville. They have sent me a bill for not only a office consult ($320) BUT a $150 fee for "testing." I was only there for 30 mins and they did not do any testing. So I called them, they said that the "testing" is a 9 question paper they had everyone sign. I asked where it was that I signed this would be additional to my office visit. Her (Kathy in the billing department) said "our prices are not posted" over and over. So, I asked her, since I DID NOT SIGN that it would be EXTRA, I'm not paying it or I'm calling Cigna. She legit said "You can call your insurance, it won't do anything. We charge this to every patient every time." I asked her to send me the paper where I signed it and she said she didn't have anything that I signed for extra services. So. I called Cigna, who is now in turn, OPENING AN INVESTIGATION on ALL claims because they are NOT ALLOWED to charge patients for something extra without disclosing pricing. The agent told me that should ALL BE COVERED in that $320 office visit. She herself tried to call and they kept hanging up on her. So, she got to see how they did AND is extremely interested in seeing how many other people they charged extra. Check your medical bills. They try to get you ANY way they can. At least now Cigna knows about their practices and are extremely concerned about how many fraudulent claims they have sent in. Disgusting, misleading practice. They will charge you whatever they want without even telling you. read more

Dr Goolsby is an incredible psychiatrist. He is probably the kindest doctor I have ever encountered. He is treating my husband and the care and compassion he extends is absolutely amazing. He is one of only a few doctors in the state who offer TMS for treatment resistant depression and will work with people to make sure they can access care even if insurance is an obstacle. I've been a patient of Dr. Goolsby's for 9 years and he has helped me tremendously. I used to drive an hour and a half to make my appointment with him because he is so awesome. He is kind, compassionate, willing to help, and knows his stuff! In some of my toughest moments, he walked with me through it. Highly highly recommend. read more

The new receptionist at the front desk is probably the biggest bi*** ive ever met in my life! She is very rude. For instance i had some papers that i needed to come sign firdt she acted like she didnt hear me, she wouldnt even look for the papers she said she knew nothing about them. I said well "mark" not his real name said they will be right here waiting on me. She looked to her right and well what do ya know there my papers were. I was missing a page and asked her to help me she said she didnt know how and nothing about it!! Doctor Goolsby on the other hand is very very nice and would do anythimg in his power to help you! read more

They wouldn't answer the phone if your life depended on it... and it might. I take a medication that i have to get sent a script for & it is very detrimental to my health. I have been calling them since 8am (it is now 2pm) & collected 7 declined calls so far. I understand going on a lunch break or being away from the desk for a few minutes... but i'm starting to wonder what the 5 (& maybe more) different receptionists get paid to do. I called for a refill but i ended up trying all different extensions and they all went to voicemail. No, they are not closed & this is very common for them. It takes me, my mom, my sister & dad calling during our workday to possibly get one person to answer. Maybe their phone wouldn't be ringing off the line if someone would just answer it the first time.
