Last and final vineyard tasting room today. Bittersweet to be alone. Wish my friends were here but I feel lucky to be able to see what's going on in south west central Washington state. Music in winter doesn't start until 5 which is a bummer because my friends said it would be 4. Not a fan of the Sauvignon Blanc.

I finally found a tasting room that I can cheat on my fave other place. And the reason is they have fantastic ciders! We came here to try their wines, but when I found out about cider that became my focus. My Hubby loves his beer, and boy do I love my cider. I must admit after an earlier tasting at another winery, I got absolutely tipsy here with their tasteful pours of cider. And no, they did not over serve me lol! Just the right amount to get the flavor of each offering. We bought a bottle of every cider they make. They are all amazing, but I will say I love peach the best. The folks here are really down to earth, and don't wear uniforms and such. Whenever we visit the Tri-Cities, I will certainly be coming back for more. And Hubby drove back to the campground btw. :)

Amazing tasting experience and selection of wines, spirits, and ciders! We ended up taking home the Vireo and the merlot and the peach bourbon and blackcurrant ciders! The live music was quite loud, but the outdoor patio and indoor space were so beautiful.

Goose Ridge opened in 1999 and has remained a staple of the Columbia Valley AVA ever since. They offer some of the best I've had in the region, especially their reds. Usually they offer a public and wine club member tasting. I'd recommend trying their wine club member tastings as the selections are usually a notch up in quality as compared to the general public offerings. Theyy are so good they may even convince you to become a member. Sitting near the base of Badger, the tasting room has expansive views of the Columbia Valley. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating making this a perfect place for a group. They even have a few Premier bocce courts One pro tip is to ask if they have any case specials. Often times you you'll be able to snag a case of wine for a really good price.

Cortez hosted us and was fabulous! We ended up joining the wine club. Fun beautiful spot with great wines. My favorites were their reisling, merlot and one of their blends. We didn't do the cider or vodka tasting but I love that they offer other things for folks to change it up. They also have bags and bocce ball. Fun spot!

It is always a treat to visit Goose Ridge. The wines are spectacular and they have their own hard cider, too! The lawn area is so nice and there are games like bocci ball you can play. This is a wonderfully serene venue

$17 for this hummus - maybe 1/2 cup!

Pack your own lunch!!!! Food was sub par (think Costco samples) for the price. Low staff on what they knew was a busy night (we couldn't get our ideal time for a reservation). But, wine is GREAT. Staff were helpful but overworked. Consider taking your own food and sitting outside.

Ask the Community - Goose Ridge Vineyards

Is the vineyard kid friendly? If it is and I make a reservation do I do just 2 for the adults or 4 with the kids?

I didn't see any kids there and it is really set up for adults in my opinion. It's a very nice relaxing atmoshere for visiting and hanging out. I even saw a few folks playing cards. I'm going back the next time I'm in town.

Is the outdoor space dog friendly?

Hi Gabrielle, All 4 of our tasting rooms are dog friendly on our patios. Richland's tasting room is also dog friendly in our grass area. All dogs are required to be leashed. We look forward to meeting you and your 4 legged friend. Cheers, Tiffany

We had the avocado fries too. All great except the fries were over-hyped. Buying a bottle is the same cost as two glasses so a deal. The second visit we sat by the fire table and it was beautiful. Our waiter was friendly but not as attentive as our first. We just had the scallops, Caesar salad and a chicken/ artichoke pizza with the Chardonnay. The pizza lacked flavor. Not enough artichokes to taste. The crusts are awesome but Would not order again. The salads were a big disappointment esp at $9. Not enough dressing, or croutons. Waiter did not offer pepper or cheese. Hard to call it a caesar. Scallops were delicious though but only 3? For $19 I would have expected at minimum 4. Chardonnay was light and buttery. There are high top tables and cozy gathering spots. I appreciated the effort put into making the space inviting with colorful chairs, good lighting, and festive conversation areas. We had a long list of wines from which to select. My husband was better at asking good questions than I after our long day of travel, but we both ended up choosing flights of nice wines to sample. Of the 6 we tried, I think our favorite was the Albariño white. All were good, and we also really enjoyed the reserve Malbec. We noshed on the pesto Brie and the fig jam flatbread to accompany our wine. The flatbread came with goat cheese which we can go either way for us. This goat cheese seemed mild and our server recommended a drizzle of balsamic to balance it out. Great suggestion! The icing on top of our visit was our server - whose name unfortunately can't recall. When we asked for recommendations for other local wineries to visit, she offered to make us a list and wrote the down for us. Above and beyond kindness! We'd come here often if we were locals and I highly recommend this establishment to those visiting the area. Cheers!

She's a member here and I understand why. The service, the wine, the atmosphere- all were so great. They have created a very nice space with cozy nooks and chic decor. We sat on the blue velvet couches tucked away along the window. As we perused the menu, we decided between a mix of flights. They were doing a few blind flight tastings that I didn't partake in, but my co-worker and client did. They brought out three wines and you got a little card that would reveal which was which. What a creative idea! All the wines we enjoyed were absolutely delicious! I can be a little particular about what I like, but these were great and absolutely matched my palette. Although we didn't order any, they also had a lot of yummy food options and the baked brie and goat cheese both smelled delicious. Service was so sweet and so attentive. The staff was very friendly! Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful when it came to picking drinks and explaining the menu without rushing us. They gave us that perfect balance of attention and space. First up: the chicken tortilla soup. This thing was flavorful, comforting, and packed with that slow-cooked, homemade taste. Honestly, it was delicious as-is, but a couple slices of avocado would seriously take it to the next level. Still -- a great start. Now the paella... WOW. A good size portion, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly -- not mushy, not dry -- and honestly better than what I've had at a lot of dedicated Spanish restaurants. The mix of seafood and chicken was generous, the seasoning was bright and warm, and every bite hit exactly how paella should. It was the star of the night. We paired everything with sangrias, and they were fantastic -- refreshing, not overly sweet, and just the right complement to the meal. The berry sangria especially worked ridiculously well with the paella. Overall, Tagaris gave us a solid, memorable dinner. Great service, great food, cozy atmosphere, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Definitely a place we'll be returning to.

The wines were bold and delicious, especially the reds. You can tell they take their craft seriously. They even brought out a little birthday treat, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the moment feel even more personal. We also ordered the cheese plate and honestly, it was perfect.
