Unfortunately the insurance carriers are predators willing to violate employees rights and break your will, the system is more designed to protect corporate interests over injured workers. It is unfortunate but true. In the effort to get cut rates for insurance employers are not provided with return to work, rehabilitation, and suicide rates for injured workers in their care. Therefore consenhsious employers have nothing more to gauge services rendered other than rates and premiums. I contacted the office of Barry Gorelick and was impressed from the start. I did not speak to Barry more than a few minutes but one of the lawyers in his office and I had a very good meeting. I was very impressed with one of the things he said to start things off. I am in the process of getting a workers comp settlement. The workers comp insurance company had verbally offered me a tentative settlement. The lawyer told me that if he was unable to get more than the amount already offered they would not take their 15% or anything at all for that matter. I believe a run of the mill law office with less integrity would have just taken the 15% and that would have been the end of it.
