It looks like Altrove Express, which is around the corner, may be open earlier, probably for lunch too but we had not ventured there for lunch. I enjoyed that it was a shoeless environment from the start. Their bathroom was broken on the day of our arrival but they were apologetic and accommodating in walking us to a clean bathroom at Atmosphere, apparently a bar owned by the same owner. I had no complaints as the bathroom there was clean and the waiter waited for me to return and walk me back a few buildings down back to the restaurant. We were happy with the salad and their margarita pizza that we ordered was enough for 2 people. We don't eat a lot portion wise, in general, but their portion size was perfect for us. We sat towards the back on their Thai style pillow chairs which was a nice touch to the restaurant and enjoyed the window seating minus the usual mosquitos throughout Palawan. Our servers were friendly and helpful. I found the restaurant to be very clean, as well. Their house wine was a nice compliment to our meal. I would definitely come back for their pizza. It was a nice touch as we were visiting from the US and missed having a variety of options to choose from.

Food is the best I ate in Asia (24 years travelling around). Pizza? Wow... Lasagna? Delicious! All paired with great Italian Wine. Not to mention the "soundtrack"... it's like a cherry on a cake. A tip: try the carpaccio, tuna or beef? I can't chose... both best ever! So, if you are searching for an authentic italian restaurant, this is, no doubts, the best! It is a small romantic place with incredible ambiance (simple yet elegant) and fresh Italian food! We had bruschetta, three types of homemade pasta (penne, spaghetti arribiata, and carbonara) and each was excellent and filling in its own right. This plus their red house wine and very quaint environment made for a very nice evening. To top things off the owner provided a complimentary limoncello. You must try this place! It's supposedly known for their pizza, but they weren't serving it at the time my family and I came for a quick bite. We had to convince the employees to make the pizza and we also had a plate of carbonara from their insistence that it would be worth it. After half an hour - we got our food and the pasta was incredibly salty. We told the waitress about the dish and she shrugged us off saying, "That's how he makes it". The pizza was decent, but the owner took his time making the food because he kept singing along to songs playing on their sound system. The funny thing, because there isn't much business right now in February, the owner is literally screaming into the telephone across from us about a fun time he's having with his restaurant. Although it's only ₱900 (about ~$20 US), I personally don't think it's worth eating here.

It's also a popular tourist spot to grab a cocktail (nothing craft...think Mai Tais and Woo Woos) and a bite to eat. We had wanted to sit in the sand but the restaurant is overrun by aggressive peddlers trying to sell pearl bracelets to you. The staff does nothing to help so we ended up sitting inside to avoid them. The menu is Filipino and full of favorites. We ended up getting the adobo calamari, prawn sinigang and grilled mackarel. The mackarel was a bit burnt which was disappointing and the adobo calamari chewy. The sinigang was pretty good however. Service was very slow and the restaurant sticky. The bathrooms were squalid and had no handsoap at all (it didn't even look like they ran out...just like it never existed) which only made the whole experience worse. This is one of the most popular spots in El Nido Town which makes me question everyone's travelling preferences. So glad this was a quick visit and we ended up staying in Sibaltan instead!

They've got varied food, not only Philippine food. The bar/restaurante, overlooking the sea and with a terrace on the beach, is small. Rustic furniture wood, not very comfortable. The Mango blend or other smoothies is the best you can drink in this place. They have free wifi.

After searching around we found this restaurant atop a small building. Surprised to see tutti Italiani who were friendly and attentive. You can forget that but you cannot forget their delicious taste and quality. Like back in Venezia. I think they might be the best in all Palawan and will rank very high among the finest Italian restos in Manila.
