I ordered the Hawaiian pizza by mistake, but it was actually good. The pineapples were fresh and The ham did not have a processed taste.. This has a nice casual date atmosphere. However, it can get a little stuffy as there is only one window and only one table for two near it. Surprisingly, it is right next to the beach but you wouldn't know it. the decor inside is nicely done. If you want some thing even more casual, they have another location across the street With an open air rustic environment. Fairly priced dinner menu.

This Yelp listing currently has the restaurant name associated with the "express" address, so it's a bit confusing! The "express" used to just be take-out, however, as of recently, they also have dine-in! This review is for the "express" located in Town Proper, properly titled "Altrov'e Express" on G Maps. Onto the review! This place has no frills and if you can get in (I would suggest any time after 7:30pm), then do it! They've got pizza and pasta, what more could you ask for? Everyone in the restaurant ordered their own individual pizzas... this is not a place for individual pizzas, lmao. It's a pretty decently sized pizza, so I would strongly suggest sharing -- worst case scenario, you could always order another pizza! But I saw too many people leaving leftover pizza and while some people did take their leftovers back to their hotels ... it just doesn't hit the same. So definitely order a pie to share! We got the Pizza Bianca and as someone who loves tomato based pizzas, this white pizza was pretty good!! The brick-oven pizza was super flavorful and welcome after a whole day of island hopping! Apparently they offer a free ride from the "express" to the Trattoria Altrove Italian Cuisine near Corong Corong Beach -- if I had more time in El Nido, I definitely would have tried it!

I dropped in twice (on a Sunday and Tuesday evening). It's great that you can see all the pizzas being freshly made out. FYI: the pizzas are MASSIVE. Only get if you're sharing with more than two people. You order and pay at the counter, then are given a cute mini pizza scooper with a number on it. The menu is up on the wall: breakfast, pizza, salad, pasta, focaccia and dessert. Pizzas you can get whole or by the slice. Trip #1 - Fresh handmade pasta with pesto rosso (280 PHP) - the noodles were almost like spaghetti. A bit of a bite to them. I haven't had pasta in ages so this was a nice change; portion size is massive. It'd be better if they had a half size option. - Margherita slice (80 PHP) - again, huge slice but thin crusty style. Good chewy dough and texture. You could get full on two slices. Trip #2 - 2x Pizza slices (80 PHP each) - one regular (tomato, zucchini and onion) and another with spinach (20 PHP extra). Spinach one was better. - Full protein (250 PHP) - greens, tomato, cucumber, red onion, carrot, mungo bean, hummus, egg and turmeric cashew. For our dressing, we went with the yogurt pesto. Finally a normal salad! Best parts were the mungo beans, cashew and hummus. I get why this place is so popular. Stick with the pizza over the pasta if you have to choose.

CRUNCHY PALABOK... YUM!!! And why does EVERY SINGLE PERSON here, have a Halo-Halo?!?! We were…read moretold this is THEE spot locals hit to get their halo-halo fix in Puerta Princesa, Palawan, PI. It sure was the looks of it, as every table was indulging in this Filipino dessert when we walked in! Not many car parking spots available outside, but that's kinda the norm here. Trikes are main way to get around and about town. AC is in full blast and its Counter service here. It's better if you speak Tagolog here, cuz my broken Tagalog wasn't gettin' me anywhere. Yup, boo boo face! :( Quite a few entrees prepared in front to see, as well as a wall menu to order from. So we ordered a few things... *CRISPY PALABOK: Never had this version of palabok before, and I LOVED it!!! The crispy noodles?!?! Oh, that just changed the game on this popular Filipino dish. So much I craved it the rest of our trip around the Philippines! Sauce was perfect and topped with lots of chicharron crunch. So GOOOD, we had to get a second plate, even, lol! *HAMBURGER: The young squires each had one of these with fries and not very impressive. The meat patty is tiny, almost the same size as the cucumber and tomato slices that was came with it. The hamburger came out first, separate from the French fries. Ehhh. *HALO-HALO with ICE CREAM: Perfect dessert to cool off from the humid hot atmosphere outside, and they do this dish WELL here! Big scoop of ice cream, a slither of leche flan, filtered water for ice is used and it is crushed very fine. Lotsa condensed milk and jackfruit, red beans, & sago sit at the bottom to mix. A perfect mix of YUM!!! Shoulda came here more often for their palabok & halo-halo while we were here. Certainly missed out on that yumminess! Avoid the burgers & stick with the dishes, and you'll be a happy camper ;)
