If you go to there by car, it's ok. Because there has parking space. But if you go to there by DART, you have to walk about 20mins to badminton centre from the station.

There are also various squash and badminton courts in the building as well as changing rooms, lockers, showers and a sauna... Like the others said there's no pool yet, but there will soon be (well in several years) in an adjacent building. Tying the figure eight knot. Belaying and learning lovely terms such as life rope and death rope. I'm not going to lie it was pretty knicker pissing stuff to climb to the top of the wall, I fell once and dangled like a crab but as I'm stubborn off I went again. I really am hooked to the rush now. As I am not a member of UCD nor a past student I can opt to pay €8 each time I go and €3 rental for the harness which I think is pretty decent as my schedule is all over the place and it allows me to see if I would rather buy membership, also €11 would go in a flash in a pub... The only way the Irish can verify good value. My issues were: 1. You have to pay the fee in person in cash which really is a nightmare and rather worrying that a place of higher education hasn't caught up to with modern payment options i.e the internet. 2. They really should say that you should come with a friend, not that my group weren't friendly. The issue is it's really a two person sport and even though or teacher said you could just rock up and ask to join someone, I dunno especially if you are a beginner like me.

The main thing for me was to find a decent swimming pool in Dublin; finally I came to the Westmanstown to find out a new place, with a great gym and a nice pool, tennis courts, and car park. The place is clean, it has the gym with a 200 metres track, equipment to do weights, basketball, badminton, and many other activities pitch. Swimming lessons, aqua aerobics and so on. This place will be definitely the best of what you could get in Dublin 15 (even with the NAC being in the area). The Sports are not well supported in this country, and it is a pity that all people see is the money aspect of the disciplines. There should be more support from the government to create better athletes and a healthier society. The prices to join the Crunch are the same as anywhere else if you compare here you will get value for your money, you might get cheaper places but you will end up paying more because the place is not clean or the service is bad as well as the facilities you will get won't be the same. Nothing will be perfect all the time, of course something will go wrong someday, like water being cold or a power cut, but every time something happened I was well looked after. A family place for excellence, here kids are aloud and there is activities for them as well, the time is restricted which is ok. I really recommend it if you have children, go there and have a look, the staff will show you around all the facilities. It's already notable for having hosted Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo's debut - a match that saw the twinkletoed one subbed at half-time for failing to make a dent in the Rovers defence. Rovers finally put roots down in a home they could call their own in 2009 after over twenty years as nomads trundling from one ground to the next after the loss of Glenmalure Park. With any luck they'll resume their collection of silverware too!

Well, to a degree yes but there is also the huge work put in by the grounds staff, the club-house staff and the admin staff and together in Railway they make a hell of a team. There are several boles grounds (erm, pitches, courts um,,, whatever they are called) a rugby pitch, a cricket pitch and two astroturf pitches and saints be praised a bar.... somewhere to go to quench the well deserved thirst you have worked up while getting from the car to the club house! However a word of warning - and really, ignore this at your peril - or rather your cars peril, the driveway / lane to the grounds from Park Lane is insanely narrow, do not attempt it in the car - I have the scratches to prove it all along the rear left side of my car. The lane is strewn with the remains of countless ruined paintjobs - don't say I didn't warn ya!

Surprisingly good gym and swimming pool for between €4.50 and €6.50(depending on variables like time of day, student/pensioners discounts etc.) Overall a pretty solid public gym, changing room floors tend to be wet but that's not the end of the world. Be careful about when you choose to go for a swim, flocks of kids are to be avoided at all costs.
