Best thing that gives the edge over other places is access to tennis courts as well as loads of good and free classes. Never seems too busy either so you can always do what you need to! The main thing for me was to find a decent swimming pool in Dublin; finally I came to the Westmanstown to find out a new place, with a great gym and a nice pool, tennis courts, and car park. The place is clean, it has the gym with a 200 metres track, equipment to do weights, basketball, badminton, and many other activities pitch. Swimming lessons, aqua aerobics and so on. This place will be definitely the best of what you could get in Dublin 15 (even with the NAC being in the area). The Sports are not well supported in this country, and it is a pity that all people see is the money aspect of the disciplines. There should be more support from the government to create better athletes and a healthier society. The prices to join the Crunch are the same as anywhere else if you compare here you will get value for your money, you might get cheaper places but you will end up paying more because the place is not clean or the service is bad as well as the facilities you will get won't be the same. Nothing will be perfect all the time, of course something will go wrong someday, like water being cold or a power cut, but every time something happened I was well looked after. A family place for excellence, here kids are aloud and there is activities for them as well, the time is restricted which is ok. I really recommend it if you have children, go there and have a look, the staff will show you around all the facilities. I've…read morebeen a swimmer on and off since I was about 5 years old (ON for most of my teenage years, OFF when I discovered beer and women, ON again when I took up triathlon to set myself a new challenge), so I have a good idea what makes a good swimming pool, and a fair idea what makes a good gym. Let's start at the start - this is a private members gym; you can't walk in off the street unless you're signed in by a member. You can sign up for some classes by themselves (spin, pilates, etc) as a non-member, but most of the people here are fully paying members. That being said, the membership packages are very flexible - it's basically €230 for an individual for a year of a basic membership, plus either pay-as-you-go, or whatever package you want to put on top for gym/swim/etc. I've been a member since February and I could not be more impressed to be honest. The place is always spotless, the staff are always friendly, the other patrons are always grand (no steroid junkies here!), and the classes are very good; particularly the spin classes which come as part of your full membership. Every facility you could want is here as well: gym, pool, football pitches, tennis and badminton courts, sauna, leisure suite... you name it, it's there! Now onto the pool itself. It's a standard 25 meter pool with a small viewing gallery. The 'adult swim' sessions are the best to go to if you want to go for a proper swim - three lanes will be marked out and most people stick to the slow, medium & fast lanes (it's a pet peeve of mine when they don't!). All in all, a great job in a handy location, and you can customise your own package or pay-as-you-go after the initial membership fee. Only negative is that you have to pay up-front rather than by Direct Debit, but it's not enough of a grievance to deter me from awarding the big 5!

I consider the space very very clean, spacious, comfortable and modern.

This club also has a range of groups and classes you can join so whether you're a beginner wanting to learn the ABC's of badminton or want to advance there's a class for you; there's also a great notice board with groups wanting to sign up members, looking for team mates so it's a great way to socialise and meet people... And get active while you're at it. There's a store inside, although opening hours are limited, it does stock all the supplies you need to enjoy the game, from shuttlecocks to rackets to clothing they've got you covered. The shops is ran by local people so remember shop local, support the independent shops and keep the community spirit alive :-)

Not really using the swimming facilities- I should, hopefully when the weather will be a little bit warmer Classes are great- I hate spinning class, but I heard it's really good- I don't cycle at all. Zumba is great, Pilates, Yoga! Weights on the ground floor - packed on Monday to Wednesday evenings (6-8 pm) Thursday Friday better - weekends it depends. All good- most of the equipment is working. You can ask staff to show you how to use it. There is basketball-football court upstairs on the 2d floor - you can reserve it for the kid's party or football fun game - ask reception for the info! You can get your chart ( info.desk on the ground floor)- measure yourself (weight, height, etc.) And you can set your goal and go ahead- with the trainer or by yourself! Joined with my flatmate. Neither of us have played cricket before but we both have cricket bats for some reason. I dont even know where mine came from. Im not even that bothered about ever playing cricket but hopefully Ill be able to explain why I think its such a brilliant offer in my ramblings. For the 200 you get tennis, table tennis, squash, cricket and access to their small but well equpied gym which seems to be quiet enough and really friendly. No meatheads in here. Ive just learned that word having told one of the lads to take it easy on the protein supplements. This is a great offer when you consider 1 game of squash in UCD sets you back 13 euro. There is also a bar upstairs and everybody we have met so far have been really sound.

Cleaning staff should be changed, they chat too much. Polish employee flirts with customers, is also insolent, arrogant type. Recently changed new tiles are already dirty, full of dump, etc. Changing rooms dusty and dirty as well. Looks like no one cares about deep cleaning, scrubbing, bleaching process. That need to be done after closing the centre every day for safety reasons and without people on the site. Dear customers, please use flip flops all time and don't seat on anything without own towel - this message is specially addressed to all ladies/girls so important. And cost of memberships are definitely too high, does not cover the basic requirements of such a centre. Changes, changes, more changes !!!!

Then turned and was at our backs on the longer back. Very challenging but doesn't beat you to death. Don't miss if you are golfing in Dublin area. The spirit of the great Christy O''Conner Sr. is still quite evident.
