Pretty much everything is the same except for a few differences The first time I came in was because I needed a notary in order to send some documents needed on the sale of my old home down in Florida. It was last minute and I was scrambling to find a notary. I had no idea who to go to or how much it would cost me. Thankfully someone at the front desk of the hotel I was staying in told me the local BMV has a notary service. I was super happy, I went in there and in no time I had the document I needed to send notarized. The best part was that it was free! I already was beyond satisfied with the service here because of that. They really saved me! I later came back in order to get an Ohio drivers license. Small wait like (2 people). Once I gave them the required documents, I took my picture and they told me I would get my license in the mail in two weeks. It pretty similar the process like in Florida. One thing I found out from them was that Ohio doesn't have auto tag agencies? In order to change your tag, you have to go do it at the courthouse. Anyway a BMV/DMV where you don't spend hours wasting your time is great!

Located at the secondary complex, 7064 Crowner Dr. in Lansing, a gentleman named Mr. Marco was my assistant. He went above and beyond to help me resolve a matter. For once, someone at the Secretary of State office showed intelligence, empathy, and compassion toward customers. He was patient, didn't get irritated, and listened to my explanation. He considered my reasoning, found a solution, and resolved the matter simply because he wasn't afraid to do his job. He wanted to help, and he's definitely the type of employee who deserves recognition for outstanding service. If only the Secretary of State had more dedicated employees like Mr. Marco, the office would be a much more pleasant place for business. Thanks again, Marco.

Abigail was especially helpful and friendly and even though I was in a wheelchair everywhere in the building people opened the door for me and treated me with respect, as they did the other older lady like me in a walker. Highly recommend - this was the first time visiting here and the other DMVs we had been to were much slower and tedious.
