When my wife were deliberating about moving to Terre Haute, for the sole purpose of attending New Life, we decided to make the decision based on the people and not our family. Family is also consistent and a great reason on its own, but the amazing attitude and kindness of the people was what really convinced us to make this our home. This is an Apostolic, Pentecostal church so you can expect great music, with a mix of Contemporary Worship and Black Gospel. People that generally don't like church and those that have different church backgrounds come together and both love it. Emmanuel Church is a multi-site church, which is one church in multiple locations. Although my home…read morecampus is in Greenwood, we visited the Franklin campus on opening weekend and got to experience the incredible things happening there. It's a little off the beaten path, but once you get there you'll have a great experience. The children's ministry is fantastic, with age-specific rooms that take up at least half the building. Make sure to check in your child (talk to the friendly folks at the desk if you're a first time visitor) and keep your tag for security, they will NOT let you back there without a child to pick up! Services begin with celebrations and announcements, followed by worship with a live band, and then a message - typically a live video feed from Pastor Danny Anderson at the Greenwood campus. You may be like I was and feel hesitant by having a "video pastor" - but I can tell you that he's just as engaging on the screen as he is in person, and you'll be blessed by what he has to say no matter where you are. I thought it would be uncomfortable, but I actually felt right at home. This church has been such a blessing in my life, and we love the Franklin campus. The drive is a bit too much for us to do regularly and we're still attending Greenwood regularly, but if we're ever in the area on Sunday morning again we wouldn't hesitate to jump in.
