-Very Clean -Very interesting selection of toys. No hi tech toys here. Lots of things pulled right out of my 90s childhood. -There are a few "adult-themed" toys. Not many but, fair warning. -The lady working here was quiet but very nice. There's a fat cat that lazily lays around waiting for people to pet her. -From what I could see the toys were reasonably priced. I walked away with some Charlie Brown items and some metal puzzles for the game room which surprisingly were a big hit this past weekend. -This place is great. I highly recommend. read more

At first, I really liked this store the variety was great and it excited the inner child in me as a new parent. That all changed once I went to the other side of the store. Mixed in with childrens items was adult mugs, drug accessories, socks, toys, etc. Like we are talking about mugs with genitals on them and all this is inside a toy store. There are no warnings on the door and there isn't a specific separation like Spencers has. Will NEVER bring my child here and I felt bad for the parents that did while we were there having to ask there parents what these items were. read more

I was so impressed with my time at this store & the other location in New Braunfels. I was needoh hunting (annoying, I know) & the employees were so nice & welcoming despite all the crazed adults looking for needoh's like crackheads that need a hit. They had a line wrapped around the building but still managed to greet EACH individual customer while simultaneously answering the phones on the first ring. Both locations have great employees that should be recognized by management. I was at both NB locations on 7/8/26, so all employees working that day deserve a bonus! Great service. The shop was nice & organized. Yes, there is a selection of adult/vulgar items. So if you are bringing your little one to this store, guide them & shield their eyes when needed. The kids will probably be distracted by the fun toys they have in there anyways. Not a big deal, but there should be a warning at the entrance! :) Mad respect for how this place is running their day to day operations & how they're doing it with a smile. read more

What a cool local toy store! This place is jam packed with all kinds of fun gag gifts, things to waste your time, stuff to occupy your fancy, and items to thrill you and your friends! They have a wide assortment of weird socks, which I loved. They seem to go from stuff for toddlers, all the way to adults. The prices range from cheapo trinkets to wildly expensive and eccentric toys like mechanical unicorns. Wild! The shelves are pretty packed with fragile toys, so I wouldn't let your young ones run rampant through here. The selections are fun, and the prices are quite reasonable! Wouldn't you rather shop locally than ordering this stuff from some website? I would! This is the most fun toy store in New Braunfels! Be sure to check it out. Man -- what a fantastic and unexpected little find in New Braunfels! During a recent trip to Texas, we enjoyed a day in New Braunfels. After enjoying some coffee, tea, scones and cake at 2tarts Bakery, we decided to tour the area on foot. Just up the road (on the intersection of N Castell and W Mill St), we found "Got Toys." From the street, it looks like a small toy store next door to the New Braunfels Brewing Company. However, the store seems much larger inside! It is jam packed with all kinds of toys, novelties and gifts! This isn't just a kid's toy store (although there are plenty of items for children). Rather, there are items for people of all ages. There are old fashioned toys, new toys, popular toys, off-the-beaten-path toys, gag gifts, magic tricks and a wide assortment of geeky gifts. The toys are pretty cool but man are they pricey! I called ahead to see what their price was for a toy and was told it was about 11 dollars more than what I found online. I needed it in a hurry so I went to the shop and took the toy to the counter only to learn that all their items are charged at a different price when using a card for purchase. Jacked up the price another 5 dollars. Caught attitude from the clerk when I was confused by the total. $36 vs. $20 hurt! As much as I enjoy this place I can't justify returning with that much of a price markup. read more

This place has some really cool toys that are decently priced. But the shopping experience is terrible because the cashier is passive aggressive and stares down little kids exploring the toys. Things are leaned against she shelves and one fell and my daughter got the dirtiest look from the cashier as I helped her put it back leaned against the wall. She gave us a not so kind comment as my daughter was looking at three buckets of toys. And told us "there are other people in the store too" as if we were such an inconvenience. We put our toys back and went elsewhere where our business will be valued and we will be treated more kindly. You'd think a toy store would hire someone who isn't annoyed by children. read more

This place was like being transported back in time to my childhood. I instantly fell in love with this place and at the same time was totally overwhelmed by the sheer amount of items they had crammed into this spot. Everywhere you look is a trip down memory lane. They have a WIDE selection of nostalgic toys from years past as well as fun new trendy toys. In the back they have an "adult" section which featured things like fun socks, super hero mugs and great books to give as gifts. The staff could not have been nicer and they even gift wrap for free. This is as good as it gets today. When I was a kid, toy stores were the dream land. They still are. In fact they are even rarer today. Most on-line and big-box stores have put them out of business. This one still sticks around because of the youthful joy of the owners which is reflected in the crammed to the ceiling toys in this place. You just HAVE to stop in before any holiday, Christmas, gift buying etc. In fact, just go ahead and release that 12 year old trapped in your body and buy yourself something. We love this store. It's packed floor to ceiling with super-fun stuff that I've never found in any big box toy store. Lots of fun things for all ages. Every time we go, we spend ages in there. It's a great place to shop for unique birthday gifts, baby gifts, Christmas gifts, or even white elephant gifts for adults. Tons of neat and unusual little stocking stuffers at the holidays, including cool reproduction vintage toys. The staff is always friendly and helpful and sweet to our kids. My children were excited to pick out some toys at this store. We ended up leaving early as the woman working there was incredibly rude. Our 2 children were right next to us, our 9 year old was looking at a flash light. She came over and started screaming at my son because she said he had to be over 14 to touch that flashlight, she said, "you clearly are not over 14!!!". She should have communicated her concern to us, she should not scream at kids. We had no idea the flashlight had age restrictions. We will never return!!! read more

I can't wait to go back! What a cool little shop. They carry all kinds of random old school and new toys. I saw stuff from before my childhood and brands my niece and nephew currently play with. I had an armful of stuff before I got halfway through the store. They have a neat collection of board games, travel games and books that are entertaining to read. I was excited to find Shrinky Dinks (anyone remember those?) so I got a kit each for my niece and nephew so I could make the little nugget heads relive my time in the 80's. The gal behind the counter was very friendly and offered to gift wrap everything for free which I happily took her up on. I came here shopping for some unique Christmas gifts. I made my purchase of overpriced toys and upon arriving home, realized they charged me $29.99 vs $6.99. I called and they said I'd have to come home. I explained I live almost two hours away but was told I'd still have to come in. I came in today. The lady working questioned when I bought it, went to find it on the shelf to verify (even though I had my receipt and the clearly marked packaging) and went out of her way to say that it probably used to be that price...since I bought it so long ago (6 weeks). It was a small, foam slingshot. I mentioned it broke in the first hour of my son playing with it. She did not apologize for any of it and was sure that I didn't get a penny more than I was owed. My parents live here. I have four children. They will never get another dollar of my money. read more

Wonderful store!!! Absolutely love this place! I would like to think that I'm a toy store connoisseur. My mother used to take me to toy stores all over the northeast, with handmade and unique toys to play with and collect. With all the toy stores closing I thought I would never get to show my youngest what it was like to shop in a store where you get to experience the magic of a small environment with wall to wall playthings. Oh boy, she was in her seventh heaven. She shopped, she visited with people, she told people about the toys, she tried to sell people toys. Keep in mind she is under 2 so this was exciting to her, and the staff was very sweet. They didn't get on us about putting toys down or squashing an adventure that my little one was questing through. I loved it. My husband kept finding things, I kept finding things, of course, my little kept finding things. Lol. We walked out with Christmas presents, stocking stuffers and birthday gifts, plus a little metal shopping cart to boot. We will be back and we will probably check out the other locations too! They have stuff for all ages, the older, novelty stuff is in the back of the store. I would say for those traveling from the east, this is like Reminiscence meets Once Upon a Time and a little lower Manhattan toy boutiques. Great place!strongly recommend for any occasion. I love this store it has the greatest and most unique selection of toys and goodies. I was in the store with my nephew this afternoon while the wine festival was going on. The older lady behind the counter with the short red hair was not courteous at all. She forcefully grabbed my card to ring up my purchase. She then tossed me the receipt paper to sign and walked away. The entire time she wouldn't look at me and her nose was upturned. I don't know if she was having a bad day but i certainly didn't appreciate her taking it out on me. The younger workers in the store were much more social and helpful. As an adult she should lead by example. If you cannot have a pleasant attitude working in a toy store you're in the wrong line of business. read more
