A couple of locations came up on my Google search and I chose this one. I'm glad I did. Not only did I find a Rush album I had been looking for some time and was about to order it online, but I got it brand new and at a great price. I did go thru a lot of their used inventory and really felt they have a good selection of every music genre you can think of. Pricing was also fair across the board. I didn't see anything overpriced. I would've bought a few more albums but I have thousands of records and running out of space for them so these days I have to be more selective with what I buy. Oh, and they also have a good selection of CDs, Cassettes and even 8 Track tapes. Now the one area I will give constructive feedback is in there organization. Especially when it comes to their CDs and cassettes which are just laying in stacks and you really have to move things around to see everything. But it could be because they have such a large volume of inventory that they're out of space. Something I can get so I won't ding them for it. I will also compliment the gentleman that Rand me up. When he saw the album I was buying he told me a personal story on how he had gone to see Rush during that tour. I always appreciate when the folks behind the counter take interest in their clients enough to engage in a little conversation. That goes a long way in my book. I definitely plan on returning when in town again and recommend to anyone looking for records and other physical media fairly priced

Highly curated, with so many off-beat selections. Prices are reasonable for what they offer. I have found several "Holy Grails" here. I love the fun decor and high ceilings. One thing that makes it a little hard to browse is the three-tier bins. If you're under 6' then it's actually a lot harder to see what's in the upper bins without having to take things out. Not a lot of flippability for us height challenged folk. (Just a note as an avid crate digger) I make this my FIRST stop. The employees are nice, and you get decent quality vinyl for a decent price. I find lots of hidden gems in the used section as well as new. They buy and trade as well. So if you're looking to unload stuff, give them a try. Coming from an old school punk background, I'm a big fan of their curation of the genre. They also sell band shirts and other little tidbits. Staff are extremely knowledgeable whether you're looking for a Blues or Jazz record, Rap or Hiphop, Punk or Rock, they've got the answers and what you're looking for. I could get lost at End of an Ear for hours reading jacket liners and chatting with employees about music.

Hence, "The Rock and Roll Fleamarket" every few months on Southtown 101 Bar's parking lot. Although there are a few vendors you can still find collectibles, rarities and other items of interest at fair or competitive prices. Items for the most part are geared towards people with tastes in classic horror films, rare vinyl and other rock and roll memorabilia. For example I bought a copy of John Carpenter's debut film, "Dark Star" on VHS for a buck. I found a few cool concert tees that I will eventually cut out and sew onto hoodies. The degree of the inventory you will find is always contingent on the weather. When it's cold the vendors are sparse. But in the Spring booths are more abundant. The crowd ranges from curious Southtown dwellers, crusty punks, metal heads, record collectors and everyone in between. Vendors, who are typically local artists will work with you on prices. In addition the bar is open early on this event with music on the patio, serving drinks and cooking up burgers. It has a Second Saturday feel with a friendly vibe. I really like this small, local market event. Although it occurs every few months it is still worth checking out. Whether you're looking for vinyl to add to your collection, gotta have your horror film fix or trying to jazz up your style with a little R-n-R this might be your place. Parking can be interesting but is still worth it. ps. You know you need that "Slayer" banner to accompany your armoire in your living room ASAP!

There's all kinds of vendors doing their side hustle, selling old VHS tapes, DVDs, CDs and other rock n roll. There's plenty of artsy kinda rock n roll stuff to check out here too. Need pins to put on your leather jacket? They have protest pins for every possible cause. They sell patches to put on your sleeve to show how tough you are at the next Motley Crue concert. There's always fun stuff you can get here to look like a real punk badass in the mosh pit at the next concert. There's usually a few old concert tee shirts for sale, and lots of prints and depictions of rock legends. However, for my tastes, there's never enough paintings of Elvis on black velvet. The fleamarket is held occasionally in the parking lot of the Southtown 101 Bar. They usually blast some heavy metal music, and it's a fun way to find that KISS statue you know you always wanted, or that Gwar mask that would complete your rock n roll ensemble.
