So coming here I was pretty nervous but the reviews all seemed great besides the few outliers that didn't phase me. For one, the vet is always clean and is pretty roomy. I like that it's not a small waiting room/ front desk area where it feels crammed and muggy. I also like the front desk people because as much as I've came to this vet, some of them start to recognize you and your dogs and it makes you feel welcomed. I'm not sure what the other reviews were talking about but every time I've been there, it was always the same few front desk people. If they were talking about the techs, then they need to know that vet techs come and go, we do live in a military town where people are constantly moving, and it's a lot of young faces so probably people who just got done with their program and looking to work. Lastly, I truly enjoy this vet because of the veterinarians. Dr. Hackworth is such a kind soul and you can tell just by one meet with him. He has always taken care of my three pups whenever we came in for their routine vaccinations. Anytime my babies had surgeries I always requested him. I'm sure they are all great though because they are under the watch of Dr. Hackworth. I have been coming to this vet for almost 2 years now and probably a lot more visits than majority of these reviewers due to the fact that I have 3 fur babies and there's been surgeries and multiple puppy shots that they had to get so this backs up my credibility of this review. Lastly, their prices are unbeatable. I've never been to such a nicely priced vet. Trust me- my first two pups have been spayed and neutered and my third one was the cheapest! I highly recommend this vet!

0 STARS!! This place has now k*lled TWO of my dogs and showed zero grace, sympathy, respect,…read moreanything in return. Years ago they ov3rdos3d my teacup chihuahua with his vac!nes. Today (05/29/26) I took our beloved miniature dachshund in at 8:30am to get neutered and he was k*ll3d instead. At 9:30am we were called and told that the sedation went fine but his test!cles hadn't dropped so they needed our permission to "find them" because it cost $100 more. They said there were no pros or cons to continue or stop the surgery so since we were under the impression he was already put under, we agreed to let them go ahead with it and we would pay the extra money. The vet did not run proper tests on my dog beforehand or check his heart, which was enlarged (found out after d3ath), and put him under in which the anesthetic k!ll3d him. If they would've taken 1 simple step to check, our sweet boy would still be al!ve and well. They also waited over 5 hours to call us around 1:15pm to even tell us the news and when we showed up less than 5 minutes later, he was already cold and stiff. While being very dismissive, defensive, degrading, heartless and down right rude to us, the lady who called us at 9:30am argued that she "never said they had him sedated on the phone" which is an absolute lie. The vet was so defensive and said he did everything he could. We were then told that since his test!cles hadn't dropped, the surgery wasn't even needed because he was more than likely infertile. Then why'd they do it?? Why didn't they tell us that on the first phone call?? He shrugged his shoulders and didn't have an answer then. I asked about the huge time gap from 9:30am-1:15pm and he said "he tried calling us at 11am and it didn't go through" so in his case he didn't get an answer so he waits another 2 hours? We never got any other calls besides at 9:30am and 1:15pm. When asking for all records and receipts to be printed off, they argued until they were blue in the face that our dog had NEVER been there, that's also not true. He'd been multiple times for vaccines and routine things. They finally found 1 singular visit in their records but none others. The vet was also adamant about sending the x-ray that was done after death, instead I took a photo of the computer screen which shows a time stamp of 10:04am. My dog was long gone before they said anything to us so they could make up a story, they were prepared. They still tried to keep our deposit and make us pay for the cr3mation or we another option given was we could just do a mass cr3mation and toss him out. When I declined (after going back and forth to try to keep our money), they tried making me leave with my cold, stiff dog, in a dinky towel in front of their fully jammed packed waiting room. It was sad, embarrassing, degrading, heartless, and downright inhumane of how we were treated. DO NOT go to this place if you want to keep your animals alive. I'm not the only bad review and I also know they have deleted other bad reviews. Keep your babies safe, do not go here no matter the circumstances. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!

My dog is 10 almost 11 years old and was diagnosed with heart failure. I have had him seen there and had tests done and paid $600+ at one time for my fur baby. Due to a lot of life things going on, I am not very financially stable. I was unable to pay the full amount yesterday for the visit, and his pain meds. Since my dog is in a lot of pain and slowly dying.... he needed this done. Like I said, I have paid all my bills the day of until yesterday. I was able to pay a portion of it. However, they were refusing to let me pay for his pain meds until the whole service was paid for, which was the whole point of the visit. The front desk staff did not care at all. Did not let me set up some kind of payment plan or pay for the meds and then a portion of the services. I was going to be able to pay all of it on Friday - 2 days later.... I was crying at the checkout desk because they would not let my dog have his VERY needed pain meds. Then the vet assistant comes out with my dog and his meds, and I was thinking maybe they were able to give him a "sample" of the meds to hold him until Friday. But no, the front desk lady yells across the waiting room - in front of other people - "She can't have those, we took those off, she can't have the meds" SO EMBARASSING. I was just very disappointed in them for lack of empathy, when they KNOW me and my dog...since we have been there for years. They KNOW that we have paid all other bills on the day of the service. And the fact that this place does not have a payment plan option for people who struggle financially but still want to make sure their animals are healthy and cared for!! I do recommend this place for the Vet staff, but I don't recommend for the front desk staff. They have no compassion for the owners.
