The Coopers have been in the Centre for about 2 months. They are open for business when you see them in the shop which is usually around 5am in the morning. They are taking their christmas orders in early November which is pleasing as I want to be more organised this year instead of racing to Coles for a mediocre ham. They have a useful knife sharpening service and will make recommendations for cooking techniques if you are like me and have no idea what the best way is too cook some types of meat. Today I have chosen a bolognaise rib frangapanni pastry because well it looked fantastic in that display as part of this review I intend to describe tonights meal. I dont think anyone can walk past without popping your head in to at least look at the display, ask some questions the Coopers would be pleased to help or in my case - guide you to how best serve their offerings.

By selling the spices in small portions ($1.20 each) it encourages experimentation with cooking. I recently bought the 'lemon, garlic and oregano' which the guys tell me is excellent with lamb - very excited about giving it a try!

Full scale butcher and smokehouse resturant. I visited twice in my last 4 days in Australia. I even tried to talk the manager into some breakfast (which they don't currently serve) This is a great place for some properly smoked meats and sides. I spent my Thanksgiving here with a Wing, some Brisket and slaw. So much to choose from and enjoy.

Since its the only other place to buy meat within a few kilometers it does well. Lots to choose from; all kinds of cuts and a variety of meats as well ranging from several types of Beef, Lamb, Pork to Roo Sausages. A very healthy selection. Metatarian heaven...Awesomeness! In addition they have all kinds of condiments, rubs and spices for your Carnivore needs...

Well if you try their flavoured sausages you'll understand why. Not just beef but lamb, chicken, duck and pork - all are utilised as well as fresh herbs. Wonderful and flavourful combinations that will keep you going back. The prices are high but knowing that they were made by a butcher and not mass produced makes them special. If you want to buy them for a barbecue, make sure you're no doing the cooking or they will disappear before you get any yourself.

Buying groceries you can go to any supermarket but people actually go back to where they used to live to go to a great butcher. All the meat here is halal and they offer more than beef and chicken. If you want a nice piece of goat which I know is a cultural thing, not many anglo saxon Australians eat it, they have it. They also wholesale direct to the public so if your looking for a side of beef for your freezer, they will package it up in selected cuts for you.

Tried it; divine and I had to ask this particular friend of mine where she brought the bacon from, and she told me it was from TJ's here on Darling Street. It was like wow. The only butcher where I will literally "bring home the bacon" from while I was living in Sydney, and on those occasions when I come back to Sydney to visit and stay at the family home in nearby Rozelle.

Dural Poultry and Meats has wonderful poultry. They dress the poultry on the premises and they sell…read morefor much better prices than the supermarket. They sell loose or in 2 kilo bags. They also sell marinated chicken. Great if your having a party. They also sell the best cuts of meat and inexpensive mince steak. When they opened they sold just the poultry but everybody in the area kept telling them to put in meat as they were very convenient to people in the are which is a fair way from shops. They had a dispute with the council and it took them a couple of years to get a licence but they were finally successful and all the locals are now very happy. And, the word has spread. People drive from Baulkham Hills and Castle Hill to shop there.
