More like 4.5 rounded up. Full disclosure we had 3 people which is the worst number as then you can't have two teams. But I'm disregarding that we had to play against a virtual house opponent. They actually let us play some games more than once so it had its upside too. There are 5 games based on the senses. I won't go farther as to not ruin the surprise. 3 were really fun, 1 was pretty fun, and 1 was mediocre although younger kids would like it (the balls). A couple games were more difficult than expected but still fun. The main thing that brings it down to a 4.5 for me, is the value. At $31 a person, we were done in about 50 minutes, about an hour including the orientation. Not the published 75 minutes. We felt like we wanted at least one more game to feel like it was worth the money or something far better than the quick ball game. I can see they priced it roughly around escape room prices. If you've never done it, feel $31/person is fair for an hour of entertainment, and have a group of 4-8, it's probably 5 stars. But the value would go down next visit as the uniqueness of a new experience is part of the entertainment. For us we felt dropping almost $100 on this was a tad pricey for 3 people so 4.5 stars. $25/person, would be 5.0 -stars. Staff is great. Realizing that our session might have been fast because we only had 1 team despite replaying a couple games twice, assuming a large group gets more play time and considering the two-team competition aspect, I'm rounding to a weak 5 stars. But definitely a 4-star for repeat visits.

She was very kind and had a lovely personality. She also gave us a courtesy call to ensure we located the center within the Grand Sierra Resort. What caught our eye was that we had to use one of our senses in each of the five challenges: smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing. The day before we had gone to an escape room and were looking for more similar experiences. Some of the challenges required the team to be split into teams while other challenges required the entire team to participate. Overall, it was a great time and I highly recommend to take a few family members and friends to enjoy the experience with. They also have a snack bar there and a dart room called the Dart Side next door.

On the website, there was an option to indicate whether the child was a boy or a girl, so we assumed there would be a class suitable for them. However, when we arrived for the first class, there were approximately 25 girls and only our two boys.Because of this, they decided they do not want to continue. That's when our nightmare began.We tried contacting the person in charge to explain the situation because we did not think it was fair to pay $175 for just one class.Unfortunately, she never responded to our messages or phone calls. There is also no one responsible on the local that you can speak with.There are only two instructors, and they obviously cannot give you their attention while they are teaching. I sincerely hope the person in charge changes her attitude and starts paying more attention to customers and their concerns.Otherwise, unfortunately, this kind of customer service may cause the facility to lose many customers.

Serving classes are the biggest issue, with coaches prioritizing bonding with each other instead of assisting. I myself did a season of club here and had a very poor experience. Not with my coach, but with the fall high-school classes. Bullying is never talked about and coaches will even talk negatively about the kids to other coaches and laugh in front of the players. I am saddened by the classic mean teen girl behavior not being addressed within the staff.

( although I won't be surprised if they remove this and notice nobody else will review if their daughters are still playing ) It is very clear with all of the coaches coaching here and also at the majority of high schools (most of them except a few, one of which 2 of the coaches were fired from for bullying and discrimination) that there is a lot of bias if you already play at NNJ to make the high school teams, they mentally put their teams together for high school before tryouts so what is the point of the tryout. Which is also the same at NNJ for the travel team. The owners of this club are so overly involved with some of the parents that there is a true favoritism with the girls and therefore put on higher level teams. This also doesn't allow them to see true talent in many of the girls that should be playing at higher levels. It is also very evident that there are offerings to some girls to get more training in than others that are offered only the normal training. Girls here are not all treated equally. We have been involved with volleyball for years, in other states between my oldest daughters too and have never seen such a one sided club and a club that does not encourage team camaraderie, and respect between players on the same team or not. I think my biggest disappointment and where lack of trust came in was during COVID. We payed several thousand dollars to play around 10 tournaments and then all of the tournaments were canceled. NNJ did not offer a refund but instead kept our money, essentially we payed around $5000 for 5 tournaments. They tried to make it up by offering practice for the remainder, yet they had to close because of COVID outbreaks and smoke days and those days were never made up, After that we started another summer session ( another $2K) that guaranteed higher level team placements and video for recruitment. It never happened. They now have a no refund policy written into their contracts. It is my understanding that there were many girls that came from another club here in the Reno/Carson area and those girls were all put on higher level teams, initially parents thought that it was because NNJ made a deal with them to come over by putting them on higher teams but is it possible that those players were better trained by the other club? I certainly look back and wish we would have explored other clubs. Ask around, listen to what people say, comments are not positive.

There is little instruction on team play. My son had a horrible experience. Not only did he participate in MAYBE 5/6 games, he was never placed on an actual team with actual teammates. They called what he did "premier team B". Practice 3 nights a week (with hundreds of other kids), RARELY compete, no teammates, no true coach. IMO, not a good formula for a young athlete. His "team" played in the GBYS League and played soccer on a gym floor all winter. BEWARE, the amount you pay upfront... the club will ask for more money as the year progresses (which should be advertised). Communication? Terrible. As a new family there was NEVER a club meeting to answer my (parent) administrative questions. My kid tried out in June, we didn't hear from the club for MONTHS. The club communicates via BYGA (an app) and no one was available to help this new family figure that out. Parents need to order practice/competition uniforms for kids, no one helped with that. I had questions about practice schedule, no help. Questions about competition, no help. The lead administrator, Jason Goodson, says "text anytime with questions", I never receive any response. Communication from a "coach": My son never have had one "team" meeting (which makes sense since my son was never on an actual team). My son was never introduced to a coach, never introduced to a team, a teammate, nothing. So, conclusion, as I can go on-and-on, GO TO ANY OTHER CLUB than this one. My kid, who once loved soccer, hates it now. If he were to change his mind and want to play, we would go to any other club like Surf.

First visit to Greater Nevada Field and wow, what an amazing experience! Came early and left after…read morefireworks, and the parking and traffic in and out were trouble-free. Great traffic control and good stadium layout. The stadium was large, but not too large, with great views, lots of different concessions, and fun shopping (Archie was in the team shop!)--all without massive crowds. And even though it had rained earlier, the seats were completely dry. As an added bonus, the bathroom was also nicer than I expected, with an attendant keeping everything super clean. Maybe because there were so many specialty options, the basic hotdogs here weren't quite as good as other places I've tried. And the Beloved's pretzel was good but the cheese dip was bland and too thin for it, although service was quick and efficient. Next time I'll try a brat or chorizo. Lines were very manageable. Best of all, strong hitters and great pitching led to an Aces victory in a very satisfying, fun-filled game against the River Cats (9 hits means a free Blaze pizza...don't forget to take a pic of the promo code)! Capped off by some really amazing fireworks, this was definitely a fun evening out that needs to be put on repeat!

What a Blast at the Reno Aces!…read more We were invited by some friends to go to a Reno Aces game, and what a blast we had! They had extra tickets, and we ended up with Floor 1 seats right behind home plate--talk about the best seats in the house! It was Family Day, so the hot dogs were only $1.50, and they were hot, fresh, and so good! The Aces were playing the El Paso Chihuahuas, and even though the Aces didn't get the win, it was still such a fun and exciting game. Where we were sitting, we were blessed to have Richard & Kathie, our wonderful hosts in our seating section. Richard was also working the area, keeping an eye on where the foul balls were landing and making sure everyone was having a great time. Throughout the game, there were always team members getting up on different stages during the little breaks, encouraging the crowd to cheer, sing, and dance. At one point, they played the Electric Slide, and of course, I had to get up and join in! Richard came over and danced the Electric Slide with me, and then he surprised me by giving me a game ball! What a special and unexpected moment! The crowd was cheering, and it made the whole experience even more memorable. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect--the energy, the crowd, the music, and all the fun between innings made for such a wonderful evening. We can't wait to go back to another Reno Aces game! It's definitely an experience we'll remember!

I played a season of women's league soccer here. My team was full of rookies, myself included, so…read morewe didn't set the bar too high for our success. Registration for the team was done online and wasn't too complicated. Before our first game we had to obtain players cards - the process was easy and only took a few moments. It was also easy to get another later in the season when I lost my original one (whoops!). You are required to give the card to the employee out of the field before the start of the game so they know that every player on the turf is registered. We played the full season and our games ranged from around 6PM to as late as 10PM. 10PM is brutal especially during winter. It was freezing outside and freezing inside. No matter their efforts the field area is still quite cold. My team and I warmed up in the bar area but a dedicated warm up space would be really nice as the bar area was quite crowded most times and made finding a place to stretch hard. We didn't have any of our games rescheduled so I appreciated that as I was worried we may face that concern. Luckily our schedule remained the same throughout the season. I will say as a new player the inconsistent refs were a challenge. One game a penalty would be called, the next nothing. One game they would add players based on the time elapsed and the score, they next they would tell us that only happens in the children's leagues. Not very helpful for those of us brand new to the game and trying to learn the rules and flow. I will say what I appreciate the most about this place is how understanding they were. I was asked to play on a team the following season and after one game realized it wasn't a smart move for my foot. I called and explained my situation and the employee was nice enough to refund my money for the season and let me off the hook of playing. That was very kind. I got a check in the mail about a week after I called and I was grateful for how easy they made it. I appreciate the customer service and it kind of out weighs the awkward parking, cold field and inconsistent refs.

There is also league play and every time I've been there is always a match going on. Another great perk here is the bar and "lounge" area where you can sit and enjoy a game or watch current soccer matches on the big screen. They have a good selection of beers on tap and even serve hot food and snacks. They have complimentary wifi which is a huge bonus since I've actually gotten work down while waiting for my son. I recommend Reno Sportsdome for all ages and suggest checking it out if you are at all interested in year round sports.
