I've been coming here now for over a month…read more I will never forget Pastor Kyle from my home church The Crossing last year sharing he was called to another state. Tears fell and I just remembered praying for him his family and the new journey. I was sad when I began to go to church and it was not the same and my grandkids there mom didn't feel the same about it. I began looking for a church since than. Over 3-4 months of giving other places a chance. We were hoping to stay close to natomas because I wanted to be sure my grandkids still stayed involved. Sadly we weren't finding a church to call home. I dropped to my knees and prayed God would direct my steps to find the right place for my family. A mom who has lived 5 years of grief and knows the understanding that surpasses all understanding a volunteer in our church for the kids teenagers and knowing God had a plan yet not known. I knew my nephew was going here and told my husband let's give it a try. Immediately the day I came was different it was not the normal service usually had but it was full of prayer and God spoke to me to get up and pray for my 26 year old younger friend who started with a migraine to short term memory not lasting more than 10 minutes. I was able to pray over my grandkids and the season my family is finding our new home. Service is blessed you feel God here. I've shared the Sundays with friends everywhere and brought a childhood friend in for Easter. We are at our new home

The leaders of the church, as well as their non-profit organizations not only express to help others in need, but they play a productive role, by assisting families with food and support, so they don't go hungry, provide baby supplies to mothers who need nourishment, and advocate for whats right for the sake of humanity. When I came to the church 8 years ago, I came with an open mind, to experience St. Mel Church myself without other commentaries. I kept returning because I found solace, sincerity, and an a genuine experience from mass and people who attended the church. I then decided to continue my faith journey and joined the RCIA program, to learn and understand the Catholic faith. I asked questions relating to Catholicism, I was never judged for my questions, nor rejected for who I was as a human being. I only gained respect and love for the Lord, others, and myself in a humble fashion. Overall the experiences of St. Mel Church has touched my life for the better, as a mother, daughter, friend, and wife. I trust and value the church that has lead me to instill a Catholic education for my daughter, who attends St. Mel school that has an reputation of excellence. Thank you St. Mels for your remarkable example and support. :)

I went to talk with Mrs Nagel in the middle of the school year about making the switch. She was wonderful from the moment we started our meeting and it has not changed now that my son attends the school. I am so impressed with the community the school and parish have created. There is such a strong bond between the principal, facility and parents. My son is now confident and has progressed at such a rapid rate. His kindergarten teacher Mrs Alcovendez is truly gifted and cares individual for each one of her students. Mrs shields is warm and inviting and is a proven asset in the class room. If you are looking for a school that will help you shape your children to become productive, kind and faithful individuals this is the school!

We were trying the usual suspects in Roseville and Rocklin and there was a lot of good teaching but just couldn't get plugged in and connected. Our daughter was 10 at the time and getting her to be excited about going to kids service on Sunday's was challenging for a myriad of reasons. So with all of that said we found a great spot in Rocklin but our daughter wasn't happy. I suggested that we give a local church a try since we live in CH and were well received the first day that we came in and our kid loved the service and made friends on day one. The people are real! No pageantry! Just real people experiencing Jesus! So come as you are and prepare to have an encounter that is real and tangible! This church has shaped our lives in a very profound and meaningful way! We have a small group that we host in our home (which I never thought I would have been one of those people) and we volunteer with the junior high ministry which is great to see you people getting love and support and positivity. So many good things to say about the message and the pastoral staff. Come and see for yourself! Scott & Heather

My wife and I sought out this service because she was in genuine need of prayer and spiritual support. We were asked to make an initial payment of $25 upfront, with an additional $75 requested afterward --framed as a "donation." As a ministry operating in the name of Jesus Christ, I believe donations must remain truly voluntary. Requiring payment and labeling it a "donation" feels deceptive and, frankly, borders on fraudulent. Prayer and ministry should be freely given, not sold. The session itself was deeply disappointing and inadequate. My wife was respectful throughout--she spoke calmly, answered the facilitator's questions honestly, and never raised her voice or showed disrespect. Yet the facilitator appeared personally offended by her responses and seemed unwilling or unable to continue effectively. The prayer we desperately hoped for never materialized. Instead of compassion and strength, we encountered weakness and fragility that prevented any meaningful help. Even more troubling, one of the very first topics raised -before we had even fully walked in the door was whether the same card could be charged for the remaining $75. That set the tone: a cold, transactional welcome that ranks among the least hospitable I have ever experienced in any church or ministry setting. I chose to overlook it in the moment because my wife truly needed help, but in the end she was let down when she was most vulnerable. We deserve a full refund of the $25 already paid, no further charges attempted, and a sincere apoloav. I hope the leadership reflects honestly on these practices rather spiritualizing this dysfunction. Prospective visitors should be aware: if you come seeking prayer, expect to encounter mandatory fees disguised as donations, a highly transactional approach, and the risk of an inadequate session if your honest answers don't align with the facilitator's expectations. Proceed with caution.
