Have been attending for 3 years as of April 2026. My family was church surfing for a couple of years coming out of Covid era and couldn't find the right fit. We were trying the usual suspects in Roseville and Rocklin and there was a lot of good teaching but just couldn't get plugged in and connected. Our daughter was 10 at the time and getting her to be excited about going to kids service on Sunday's was challenging for a myriad of reasons. So with all of that said we found a great spot in Rocklin but our daughter wasn't happy. I suggested that we give a local church a try since we live in CH and were well received the first day that we came in and our kid loved the service and made friends on day one. The people are real! No pageantry! Just real people experiencing Jesus! So come as you are and prepare to have an encounter that is real and tangible! This church has shaped our lives in a very profound and meaningful way! We have a small group that we host in our home (which I never thought I would have been one of those people) and we volunteer with the junior high ministry which is great to see you people getting love and support and positivity. This is a really nice church. I went here for awhile. Moved and tried it when I came back to the area. Unfortunately, they have really changed. The worship and preaching is still good, but they have been using a smoke machine now at the beginning and end of the music. I had to leave because I couldn't breathe. I came again on another occasion and left as soon as they started the smoke machines. I really think that the smoke is unnessecery. read more

In 2012 I was in a desperate place. Little did I know that when I asked my sister-in-law to take me to church with her, that my life would change forever. Yes, the teaching (straight from the Bible) is absolutely relevant, the worship music is uplifting and the musicians and vocalists are incredibly talented but, it has been the love, support and fellowship of both church members, Pastoral staff and "civilian" staff (lol) that has been life changing. I look forward to weekly service and life group. My life is measurably better because of this church and I am blessed by God through it. read more

Weird to review a church right? Well, I had a really good experience here last Sunday. I took my nieces (ages 7 and 9) here while in town and cannot believe how well they adjusted. One of my nieces went from walking in the door with social anxiety & asking to stay with me at all times, to totally flourishing in the kids' group. We ended up staying for two services because they just did not want to leave- I'm positively floored with what they told me they learned that day. Good messages all around. I used to love coming to this church when I lived in roseville everyone here is so nice and friendly very clean atmosphere very clean establishment very comfortable atmosphere always great staff and pastors always great services the parking lot has plenty of available seating for everyone plus they have something for everyone they have classes for all ages and they have it for the toddlers that don't want to sit still in church if you are looking fir a new church home I would definitely recommend this location they have great services great pastors great staff plus they have groups that you can sign up for or you can look into before deciding on a group this is a amazing church I will definitely be coming here next time i am in the area for more great services and More great experiences to come thank you bayside of Citrus Heights you guys are amazing read more

So grateful for a church that loves on its community ~ it makes me proud to attend Heights Church and participate in the gathering of food for our community food bank and clothing closets at Sunrise. the support over the last few years of our local elementary schools with headsets during covid and with literally thousands of backpacks filled with school supplies over the last decade make me glad to have an outward serving church. Another thing I really like is the seriousness the children's and youth ministries take in planning and training up their staff - everyone is background checked and they don't let just anyone serve in vulnerable areas. In these days and times there are so many people trying to hurt churches, children and people in general its wonderful to come and worship, love others and be loved on. Best Church ever! The staff is super friendly and so are the members. My kids love the youth ministry, my daughter volunteers with the kids classes and attends the high school youth night once a week. The Worship Team is extremely talented, it's like going to a concert every Sunday! I'm so glad we found Bayside of Citrus Heights. I want to move out of California because of the rising costs of everything but it's hard to go and leave this church. read more

My home church. Good stuff. God is present! God is good. So when I first stepped into this church in the Fall of 2009, I knew I liked the pastor immediately. Great vibe from him, great vibe from the folks attending. I think the number of people who call this their church home has probably doubled since then and for good reason... it's a "come as you are" kinda place and I've come to know a "come as you are" kinda Jesus. Excellent. No church is perfect because none of us who attend and serve in them are perfect, that's just a pure and simple fact. If you are looking for a PERFECT church, then you'd better venture onward! If you appreciate a "real" church with people who'll make eye contact with you and LOVE on you, then this may be the church for you. Excellent Bible-Believing/Preaching church!!! I was visiting from Texas, missing my church home at FBC LaVernia, and decided to visit Bayside in Citrus Hieghts, CA. I was quickly welcomed in the parking lot before getting to the building. I was then welcomed warmly by Jackie at the front door. We established that I was a visitor and she asked me how I found them. They had a great detailed website that I looked up after driving by their church a few times. Jackie offered to have me sit with her and some others, but I chose to sit in a random seat. The entry music was "Oh Happy Day" which was exciting. Jackie had explained that their music was upbeat and contemporary. They did not disappoint! They had a great worship team that included drums, guitars (yes, electric too), and a few vocalists. Prior to the message, a short time was given to welcome those around you. I loved this, as we do the same at FBC. The message from the book of James was brought by a combination of the youth pastor and two associate pastors (the lead pastor was out for medical reasons). They served communion (last weekend of every month). I've been in stuffy churches where people are not friendly. This is not one of those churches. Come as you are (dress up or down) and be ready to be welcomed and to hear a great message of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Loved it! Thank you Bayside! read more
