The only reason I give it 4 stars, is I was the only person in the entire church who had a bible in hand. Even the pastor was referencing from the word of God and not reading straight from it. The word of God is so powerful. And I think it'd be awesome to encourage the congregation to bring and open their own personal bibles and learn to have a deeper relationship with their bible. But otherwise i thought the message was clear. I will definitely be visiting again.

We tried PCA and PCUSA churches locally and didn't find the perfect fit. Pastor Larry Kirk is a professor at Reformed Theological Seminary. Praise is led by Patrick Anderson who is getting his doctorate from University of Southern California (I think in guitar) but is from California and helped to lead praise at Grace Community Church (John MacArthur's church - Dispensational). Pastor Curtis Froisland came aboard 2015 and teaches from a Reformed theological perspective as well. CCC is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. I know, I was like what is that? It is a denomination that allows greater autonomy over doctrine and specific beliefs based on biblical interpretation to local EFCA churches. This church is predominantly Reformed in its theology. This church is part of Acts 29 and is dedicated to church planting rather than becoming a megachurch in itself. If you are hungering for a multi-ethnic intergenerational congregation that is passionate about community and sharing the word of God definitely come by to worship. We were visiting Ormond Beach and Daytona area for the week. A lot of times when we travel we try…read moreand find a local church to attend on Sunday's. Today we attended Calvary Christian. The campus is very large and we didn't have a clue where to go so we parked in the visitor's parking. Once we got parked someone walked up and said hello and introduced themselves and walked us up to the front. Everyone was very welcoming when we arrived. When we walked inside the auditorium it was full and it was hard to decide where to sit. We decided to sit towards the back. Love how there were so many ethnic groups there which was great! * The worship time was good. The band was fantastic and sounded spot on. (My wife and I are musicians as well). * To be honest and this is just OUR OPINION...... Everything (singers, musicians, pastors, and those who prayed) were very loud! After 15 minutes being there and I to put in my earplugs to keep from getting a headache/migraine. A few minutes after that my wife put hers in which she NEVER does. * During the prayer time pastors wife started speaking in tongues (which I'm not comfortable with). During the pastors message he also spoke a little in tongues. * Because of how loud things were I started getting nauseous and a little off so we decided to leave about 3/4 of the way through the pastors message. He had a lot of great points and information from Luke 22:31 * Even though we felt this church wasn't for us not to say it wouldn't be great for you! Like I said at the beginning; everyone was soooooo nice and welcoming and made us feel great. We just didn't like how loud the service was.

When I got there their oven had issues so I couldn't buy a whole pizza which sucked. They had some interesting vendors there too. The one thing I didn't like was how spread out things were we were looking for the dinners for forever lol. The event was good though I hope they do another food based event because it's in my neighborhood and they seem to be good at organizing events.

Walk Through Bethlehem is without a doubt the area' most effective community outreach by a church…read more Thousands come each year to walk back in time when Jesus was born. More than 450 church members volunteer their time and talent to provide this rich spiritual experience. More than 26,000 cookies are consumed by community 'pilgrims' at the end of the tour -- along with countless cups of hot coffee. Last night, I became one of those pilgrims. From the folks directing cars into the parking lot to the hosts and hostesses arranging tour groups to the re-enactors -- everyone made me feel like I was no stranger. I belonged. While waiting to take the tour, I truly enjoyed the music provided by the Rich Family, followed by Warner Christian Academy's award-winning jazz band. Led by a dedicated and very energetic band director, who truly loves his work, the band was simply magnificent. All in all, we have no other area event that sets the appropriate mood and tone for Christmas so well. I will return for my ninth walk next year.
