Even Jonah (16), on his own accord, chose to join the worship team, which has been incredible to watch. It's refreshing to be surrounded by genuine people who love the Lord and live out community in such a real way. We absolutely love being part of Beachside Church and tell everyone we can about it!

We were visiting Ormond Beach and Daytona area for the week. A lot of times when we travel we try…read moreand find a local church to attend on Sunday's. Today we attended Calvary Christian. The campus is very large and we didn't have a clue where to go so we parked in the visitor's parking. Once we got parked someone walked up and said hello and introduced themselves and walked us up to the front. Everyone was very welcoming when we arrived. When we walked inside the auditorium it was full and it was hard to decide where to sit. We decided to sit towards the back. Love how there were so many ethnic groups there which was great! * The worship time was good. The band was fantastic and sounded spot on. (My wife and I are musicians as well). * To be honest and this is just OUR OPINION...... Everything (singers, musicians, pastors, and those who prayed) were very loud! After 15 minutes being there and I to put in my earplugs to keep from getting a headache/migraine. A few minutes after that my wife put hers in which she NEVER does. * During the prayer time pastors wife started speaking in tongues (which I'm not comfortable with). During the pastors message he also spoke a little in tongues. * Because of how loud things were I started getting nauseous and a little off so we decided to leave about 3/4 of the way through the pastors message. He had a lot of great points and information from Luke 22:31 * Even though we felt this church wasn't for us not to say it wouldn't be great for you! Like I said at the beginning; everyone was soooooo nice and welcoming and made us feel great. We just didn't like how loud the service was.

Walk Through Bethlehem is without a doubt the area' most effective community outreach by a church…read more Thousands come each year to walk back in time when Jesus was born. More than 450 church members volunteer their time and talent to provide this rich spiritual experience. More than 26,000 cookies are consumed by community 'pilgrims' at the end of the tour -- along with countless cups of hot coffee. Last night, I became one of those pilgrims. From the folks directing cars into the parking lot to the hosts and hostesses arranging tour groups to the re-enactors -- everyone made me feel like I was no stranger. I belonged. While waiting to take the tour, I truly enjoyed the music provided by the Rich Family, followed by Warner Christian Academy's award-winning jazz band. Led by a dedicated and very energetic band director, who truly loves his work, the band was simply magnificent. All in all, we have no other area event that sets the appropriate mood and tone for Christmas so well. I will return for my ninth walk next year.

2026 has seen the new addition of the 14 stations of the cross and gardens. This outside area has…read morebeen beautifully done with a large walkway in the pattern of a large cross. The virgin mother is at its center and looks down along the path of the 14 stations. Each of the 14th stations has a bench across from it that you can sit at to ponder or pray. There are also benches around Mary's centerpiece for you to reflect on. There are other garden areas that have been upgraded as well on the property, including a memorial to all the lost souls due to abortion. This area is an amazing place to walk around, ponder, and pray. Even though the traffic is going by on the road, just several yards away it is a very peaceful preserve for all that visit.
