They evaluate and treat children between the ages of birth and three years old with developmental issues. They evaluate infants born premature. They evaluate children that are referred by doctors and pediatricians to the agency. The staff consists of medical professionals that include licensed therapists (speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dietician, audiologists, child psychologists, etc.) and nurses. Being a state agency, therapy fees are on a sliding scale depending on the parent's/guardian's household income. They accept insurance, Medicaid, and payments for the uncovered expenses. Charges for their services are remarkably reasonable. The staff is friendly, caring, and helpful. Their assistance can make a big difference in a child's life. This area is fortunate to have this agency available if you need it.

There was no telling what kind of cool treasure you'd walk out the door with. I think a change in management also brought a change in pricing ideology. There are few bargains to be found anymore. They aren't flexible in offering a discount if an item is overpriced. I still go in and look around but seldom find anything to buy. Whoever is pricing the store items needs to get in touch with reality and understand how to price used donated items.

Then we went inside and saw Guinea pigs, rabbits, and a lizard! Phenomenal educational opportunity!! You do need a reservation for the animal tours and they have summer camp so call Ahead to make sure it's available. Parking is in the lot.

The story behind this blessing in the parking lot of a Baptist, Church in Concord is by the hands of a thoughtful, local preteen boy looking to love on the community. He was able to create a repository of food, information and inspiration. Anyone who wants can provide or partake of nonperishable items and groceries anonymously. I stopped by after admiring the gesture and decided to add a few items. I plan to do so regularly. It is written... "God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

As my sister and I placed various items on the shelves we couldn't help but realize how this blessing box is such a Godsend to so many families that are struggling and may not have food on their table. The Blessing box sits in the parking lot of a small church (Living Faith Church Of The Brethren) a few feet from Rock Hill Church Road, which is a pretty busy street, where people see the Blessing Box and slow down to count their blessings or be a blessing to others. The Blessing Box is always neat, well organized and very well stocked with soups, vegetables, pasta, snacks and books to name a few items. The placards on it says "Take what you need - Leave what you can," (so heart warming). The Blessing Box was Carlin's way of giving back to the community while working towards his Eagle Scout requirement, but little did he know that he would be the bridge that carries some families across. Kudos call Carlin and everyone who supports his project.

I knew leaving her un-spayed was dangerous so I decided to bite the bullet. When I called to make the appointment I was asking 100000x questions and once the receptionist realized I was having a panic attack just making the appointment she was very reassuring, told me she is in very good hands and helped me calm down. Day of, I was a nervous wreck. The staff was so kind, efficient, and trustworthy. The best $125 I've ever spent to make sure my baby girl lives a long healthy life. If you're thinking of getting your animal spayed here, look no further. The incision was hardly even visible and she healed SO well. When I called because my kitty hadn't used the litter box in over 24 hours they gave me solid advice on how to help her and she ended up using the litter box. If I ever get another pet, I will most definitely bring them here!

I've wanted to be part of a community of people that truly love God, his word and others. God says that if we love Him, we will keep his commands (John 14:15), which he reveals to us in His word. We should take his word seriously - especially given how God in his word claims that these words came from Him, God-breathed (2 Tim 3:16-17). Before coming to OBC, in my deception, I fell into listening to unhealthy teachers along the way from not knowing what sound teaching was like. I'm so thankful that God in his providence allowed me and my fiancé to find Oakhurst. From our first day we planned to get to know the people & more about what the church believes. Everyone has been so welcoming to us and so hospitable. We've been going there for over 2 years now. We have seen God's faithfulness in continuing to grow his people there in love for Him, his word and others. We've been so deeply encouraged in the truth shared at Oakhurst, the elder's commitment to loving us well in their teaching rooted in scripture and seeing God's grace in the lives of others. Is it a perfect church? No, because we live in a fallen world, as our creator gives us context to in Genesis 3 of the Bible but it is a healthy, faithful church. How? By God's grace! The church belongs to God (Colossians 1:18) and he is the one who grows us in his grace. I've loved learning from our pastors of the importance of praying for our church that we would grow according to God's design as we see laid out in scripture! I encourage anyone reading this to come on Sundays at 10:30 and see for yourself!
