This church began construction in 1894 and was partially completed by 1915. It is of French Gothic Architectural style and is on the US National Register of Historic Places. Per Wikipedia, "The cathedral is famous for what is said to be the world's largest handmade church stained glass window." "The window was created by Mayer and Company of Munich, Germany, and installed in 1911. It was fully restored in 2001." There is ample parking in the church grounds with an additional overflow lot nearby. It is definitely a beautiful space to visit and attend mass.

Many of the American Legions or VFW Halls do a great job with day-off signage probably because they realize those outside their core members will attend. For whatever reason, churches haven't figured this out and/or spent all the sign budget on summer festivals. What I mean is we usually can't figure out what door to enter and wonder is it in the school or parish center?St. Catherine's was no different. Once inside you usually have to get in one line to pay and be given a slip of paper then get in another line to receive the food. Most churches have a good system for this, not here. If you didn't ask, you wouldn't know where to start. So finally you pay, get a slip of paper, stand in another line and the order ticket is ignored by those doling out the food. What's the point?! If they could work on this you probably wouldn't wait in line for 20+ minutes. Logistics aside, stick with the $7 cod sandwich with one side, slaw, two hush puppies and a cookie. Don't try their fancy week-only specials as others did and we're disappointed. Soda, beer and wine are available. I was offered Guinness or Budweiser and if I'm going to make a donation for beer, it is going to be Guinness in the hopes more churches offer better beers in the future ;) A cute Boy Scout troop cleared our tables for us and we enjoyed the hand-drawn placemats at each seat. If this is your neighborhood fry, it's a decent choice just be prepared for a wait.

The incredible staff, music leaders/musicians and volunteers make church a pleasure. Our kids love it there and the relaxed environment allows for an easy Sunday morning routine for us. Children's ministry is excellent as well and the youth leaders are wonderful, especially Ryan Ventura and Adam. I highly recommend. It's a blended community with affluent Indian Hill residents to more middle class Anderson Twp. and surrounding areas. Everyone is welcoming and they offer great bible studies and men and women's groups alike.
