He is a very great listener, and what I love about him is he never tries to over-talk you..... he actually takes his time and listens to what you want/need to talk about. We moved 3.5 hours away and I didn't have to change doctors, which we all know how hard that can be once your comfortable with one. If I could give Dr Sternberg 10 stars, I would! He is very soft-spoken, kind, and compassionate and he truly cares about his patients. Then when she agreed to take my family member on as a patient she spent the 15 minutes with her advising her that she needs to go elsewhere for "ancillary" services. She billed Medicare for $300 and then charged my family member the Medicare copayment of $30. We were told after the fact that Dr Tucker has been known to be very choosy with her patients. I wonder if choosy means having the initial visit, deciding not to treat the patient and then billing Medicare. We have filed a complaint with Medicare for possible Medicare fraud and will be filling a complaint with the Virginia Medical Board. A week after this visit with Dr Tucker we set up another appt with a new psychiatrist and he treated my family member with the meds she needed and never once inquired about her "ancillary" needs. Dr Tucker needs to be investigated for Medicare fraud, as it is definitely what occurred in my family member's case.
