I have no musical training…read moreand beyond singing, mostly silently, to my favorite songs, I never previously used my voice to make music. I spend a lot of time avoiding my creative expression, despite knowing I wanted more of it in my life. When I finally stepped out and gave myself to my desire for more expression, I wanted to both learn more about my voice and how it's shaped by my inner life. Inside Voice fit the bill from my first lesson. Jonathan met me and my voice right where it was with care, while clearly sitting in his knowledge and expertise. Over the course of my time at Inside Voice, I have been guided both clearly, with playfulness and almost magical intuition into a fuller understanding and expression of voice. I see now how my voice can reflect and inform who I am and the range of expression I can sing into the world! What a pleasure to experience Jonathan's work and learn how to bring it to more and more of my creative life. I've gained the confidence to go further in my creative expression in my voice practice, but also in my whole life. Ms. Purcel is a fantastic piano teacher. She's great with little kids. She teaches my 6 year old…read moredaughter and has ignited my kid's love of the piano. Ms. Purcel is patient but stern-- she taught my daughter to sit properly and still (my daughter is a ball of energy). My child went from total music illiteracy to actually knowing how to read notes and playing pieces all by herself in a few months. She really loves Ms. Purcel. I also really appreciate that she can come to my house. Highly recommend.

Apart from having excellent credentials, she is an exceptional teacher who gives a 100% to all her students. She has guided my daughter to earn gold medals through all 6 levels of NYSSMA and helped her attain Highschool and Social Diploma from the National Piano Guild. We are very fortunate to have found such a wonderful teacher for our daughter. Over the years, she has also taught many other kids in our extended friends circle.

That was not the only thing Monica say to her that didn't jive, but in short Monica annihilated my daughters confidence to the point she almost quit music all together. After speaking to Monica about it she assured me they would make the changes needed to make her feel at home and rebuild her confidence. So we gave it another swing but sadly nothing changed. My daughter literally cried leaving the car to enter the building each time toward the end. So I yanked her...The silver lining is don't let one bad SOR ruin it for the others, We moved her to SOR in Farmingdale, and Rock Underground in Commack and she's loves them both.. you have options people make this place your last resort. Follow up to the below response. House band had zero to do with us leaving , in fact we had no issue with the reasoning she did not get in. It was the ambush you put me and my wife in, in your office. In fact very little was discussed about house band because you went on a tare of how my daughter took Tom's picture off his IG wall in his koala bear Halloween outfit. And how cooperate came down on you for it. And it was you who told Lexi that other 103 members came to you about Rosie further alienating her from her 103 peers. Dillon spoke about house band for 2 minutes at the end but by then Lexi was already in tears from your hammering. Had zero to do with house band but the fact you want to make it about that says more about you than I could ever.. Fact: house band results came out October 28th, if we had an issue surrounding the decision we would have quit October 28th not wait until December 21st And Monica why didn't Corporate know about the IG incident? It's been increasingly difficult for her to feel comfortable enough to walk through the doors there. We were hoping that would have changed over the last month or so. Unfortunately the anxiety building up has been increasingly compounded over the last several weeks. Please do not renew any reoccurring charges going forward for 103 and cease billing any lessons going forward. More than anything else, she has fun - she always comes home with a smile ready to tell us who she saw and what she worked on. It's one of her favorite places to go. When the COVID-19 pandemic started becoming more real, they pivoted to remote lessons with ease - the continuity of lessons was important, and it gave her something to look forward to every week.
