We moved from SE Asia to Palmerston North. We have our own container, so Grace had to do the customs clearance, and get the container to our storage depot in PN. A month after the container landed, still no sign of the thing. Repeated emails (I was still overseas) went unanswered, a whole month to unload and clear? Still no joy from Grace, we contacted our freight forwarder in Borneo and magically, in two days had our container. I wouldn't ever recommend this lot. Outstanding - Used their services when moved from Wellington to Auckland: - Friday morning - left an expression of interest and got a quote - Monday - called and confirmed times, paid for services - Tuesday 13:00 - items removed from Wellington - Wednesday 08:00 - items arrived to Auckland, got a call from delivery team that they're ready to deliver at 10:30am, but as we were still on our way (stayed for the night in Taupo) - so I had to ask delivery team to postpone delivery - Thursday - Items delivered. No items were damaged along the way, even the fridge arrived in perfect condition (packed in double layer of bubble wrap by removal team) If I ever move again, I'll definitely use their services read more

We moved from Auckland to Coromandel in November 2016 and the pre packing assessment and actual day of moving was smooth and trouble-free. The guys who came were polite and efficient and careful with taking everything out of our house. The truck remained in Auckland overnight (apparently locked and in a locked yard). Next day the truck duly arrived at our new home and was unpacked very quickly. There were a few scratches and dings, but I guess that's to be expected. What was not expected was to discover a whole box missing. Everything had been shifted into the house and we spent a number of days unpacking so this wasn't immediately discovered. I contacted the office who said they would check if any boxes had remained on the truck, but of course they hadn't. What happened to that box?? Who knows. All I know is that it was packed onto the truck but did not make it to our new home. If goods cannot be guaranteed to arrive it would make me think twice about using Grace Removals in the future even though the rest of the experience was very good. read more
