Angie is such an amazing doula and a wonderful person! I knew from the beginning that I wanted to…read morehire her because she was very thorough and detail-oriented whenever she responded to my questions. From the first time I reached out to her and throughout my pregnancy and postpartum, she connected me to a ton of resources including Hypnobirthing, which really helped me and my husband immensely in preparation for and during labour. Long story short, I learned so much from Angie and it was because of her that I was able to overcome my pregnancy anxiety and fear of labour! In fact, my husband and I felt so prepared that we switched from a planned hospital birth to a home birth just a month before my due date. If we have a second child in the future, I would hire Angie again in a heartbeat! :)

Her knowledge, quick response time, caring/loving nature, made for this first time mom to be so at ease. I immediately felt a connection to Angie and so did my husband from day one. Having her with me during the delivery was exactly what I needed. She was an incredible support to me of course but also to my mom and husband who were with me during the birth. Angie thank you from the bottom my heart for all your support, before, during and since the birth of my son. Forever grateful

I was so incredibly grateful for Helping Hands and Sharon fitting us into their schedule. As a first time mom new to Toronto I had zero support. I was so grateful for Sharon's care of our daughter and guidance for me as a new mother. She showed me how to use my breast pump, ways to help feed a bottle, burping and baby wrapping methods. She made me feel at ease and helped me get some rest in those early nights. Something I didn't think I could do anything about. I highly highly recommend considering a night doula if it's in your budget. It gave us peace of mind and we would definitely hire again for another child.

We had a WONDERFUL virtual/in person experience with Kristi and Jabir. Due to the pandemic, when we…read morehired them we went for the virtual package pre and post natal. We had a really informative and helpful one on one zoom call about 1.5 months prior to my due date, but they were answering my questions in our group WhatsApp chat from the moment I signed up! They always responded so promptly, and put our minds at ease. I had a c-section scheduled, but went into labour two days before! So Kristi was able to help guide me through the symptoms and contractions and advise us when we should head to the hospital. After we came home, we utilized them a LOT for all our baby questions from sleep patterns, rashes, breastfeeding, anything! We upgraded to have our lactation specialist come into the home and help us - 100% worth it and we still refer back to what we learned with her. Kristi is well versed in breastfeeding techniques, so helped us keep up with things - and when our baby cried straight for two days, was able to advise us over a call that the baby might still be hungry and need top ups, and solved our crying baby! We used our last session for an in person visit with Kristi, so she could meet our baby (lower risk times) and still she helped us with gas issues/ideas to help baby, etc. I cannot recommend this service enough! I'm a first time Mom, and having them in my corner was the best thing I did for myself and my family. Do not hesitate to hire them - even virtually - because they really do go above and beyond and it's a wonderful experience.

Also a bonus that the space is so esthetically appealing and the owner has curated the best products in their cute storefront including kids books, pregnancy safe products and even preloved clothing. The clinic is located in Leslieville by Greenwood and Queen, offers plenty of street parking and the streetcar is right around the corner. I was a bit more picky as any expecting mom would be with her body. The massage therapists here know their stuff, they know the right props to use the right positioning and they are so receptive of what the client wants. I ended up coming here for a bunch of different ailments that pregnancy started bringing on. I went for chiropractor and physiotherapy as well. Each served its purpose in helping me along my journey of feeling good. The studio is well kept and nice, the only issue is if you are driving there isn't a lot of parking spaces available. Would highly recommend to any woman on any journey they are on to go here. They are so welcoming and their services are great. They know their stuff!

Kate the great! It's cheesy but true. Here's why:…read more We hired Kate for my second labour. My first labour was okay. It was a textbook labour (aka "easy") and epidural-free, under the care of midwives in a birth centre. That being said, I felt traumatized by it for quite some time afterwards. The pain totally surprised me and I felt like things got out of control. It was otherworldly and, quite frankly, I needed more support than I got. During my second pregnancy, I did some research. I realised midwives, doctors, and nurses are great as healthcare providers, but they don't provide much emotional support. I wanted more emotional support and I wanted A LOT of suggestions on how to manage the pain in the moment. Enter Kate. She impressed me right away because I could see she was super organised. She also had an immense toolkit to manage pain and calm emotions. Hiring her was a no-brainer (although I admit I had some sticker shock -- more on this later) My second labour ended up being more challenging than the first (epidural failed, baby was stuck, etc.), but it felt better and more peaceful thanks to Kate's presence. Nothing about it felt traumatic. I cannot recommend Kate enough. Don't believe my review? My husband was skeptical prior to meeting Kate. "I don't think she'll be able to offer much more than a midwife", he said. After meeting her, he was surprised and impressed by her knowledge and toolkit. After labour, he agreed with me that she was worth every penny.

The location: located downtown Milton, hard to miss, the building itself is red. There is also a parking lot with maybe about 10-20 spots but it does get filled fast however there are lots of street parking and other lots around d The clinic: the clinic itself is quite large. We had emailed them beforehand to get more information and they invited us in to have a tour. We arrived on a friday morning and it was already quite busy which is nice to see. We were immediately greeted and taken around inna quick tour. There are lots of bathrooms with changing tables inside. The clinic itself is also quite large with lots of hallways of different rooms for the different services they provide like breast feeding, yoga and massage. They even have a retail store which is great and convenient. The service: the ladies there are very nice. I didn't catch the name of the woman who gave us the tour but she was very welcoming and very informative. She said that all information can be found on the website and we are free to sign up online as well but it was nice to see the clinic in person. They even sent us home with a gift bag with baby samples. We look forward to coming here in the next few weeks when we are farther along in our pregnancy. I also liked that we were able to drop off an old car seat that a friend gave us. We are due end of July but the car seat expires in October so I love how we were able to drop it off incase another family could use it!
