He has shown my son such amazing encouragement and enough individual attention that even my shy son has been able to get through the uncomfortable first stages of a new class. He does a great job of explaining techniques that are comprehendible for many, especially guys like me, who are new. Best self-defense and kickboxing class ever! I have been coming here for kickboxing lessons for almost 1 year. I'm a 37 year old mom, and I was so uncoordinated and overweight when I started. Mr. Evons' patient and adaptive instruction has helped me gain new skills and lose over 40 pounds. He adapts his lessons to meet students at their skill level to develop their techniques. Gracie Jiujitsu of Davis is a great place for kids, especially those on the spectrum. We have two kids on the spectrum. One is in the juniors class, the other in the little champs class. Evon does great training and sometimes wrangling in the kids. His teaching style is adaptable to the students, games with the little champs without them knowing they are learning, structured but fun and engaging with the juniors. They look forward to training every week. Gracie Jiu-jitsu of Davis is also partner with Alta California Regional Center. Spouse has been training in the adult classes for a year. Kids have been training for 7 months. I am waiting for the Women Empowered class to get on the schedule.
