I come to their kickboxing class once a week in the evenings. They have different instructors in which I have taken classes with and they are all great with different teaching styles. They motivate you and the class is so much fun. Bumping music, moves and sweat! It's a mixture of everything and best believe, you leave your class huffing and puffing, feeling great. My 5 yo daughter is in their tiger class twice a week. At first, I was expecting the class to be all physical but to my surprise, they teach amazing life lessons like building confidence, self discipline, hard work, control, and respect. This made me commit. We've also taken this class with multiple instructors and every one of them are so kind and amazing. They are so great with kids and I love them all so much! My girl enjoys this class and it's nice parents can sit in the class to watch. Towards the end, they have you interact with your child in helping them develop their skills which is a nice way to bond. I think of all the places in Davis, this place is probably the best in terms of quality for adults and children. They also offer camps which I've heard great things about. read more

Absolutely wonderful! I took my kids here for a tiger camp 6 months ago, and liked it so much that I enrolled myself, as I'd always wanted to learn martial arts, and haven't looked back. The first thing I noticed and continue to enjoy, is that everyone is overwhelmingly nice & caring. While the instructors challenge you and guide you to do your best, this isn't the Cobra Kai's - you will be supported and encouraged by all. The classes are well thought out and structured, beginning with warmups, stretches and techniques, followed by practice that varies depending on the day, and capped with a thought message to reflect upon during the week. There are no hidden fees for testing, no expensive private lesson requirements or extra belt charges. What they list is what you pay and nothing more, which is in contrast to most other places, and speaks to the culture of this gem of a school. When their busy schedules allow, my kids love coming here as well - and despite being fairly shy, immediately warmed to the head/senior instructors Cree and Chase, who are absolutely wonderful with them and the other kids. As an aside, my kids also get so excited if they see one of them around town and talk about it the rest of the day, and that further reinforces my opinion of the quality of the experience here. If you've ever wanted to learn martial arts or just want to work out (I'm already 10 lbs trimmer in 6 months), and even if you're an old guy like me - Inspire will inspire and welcome you. I spent a month here for cardio kickboxing (had to cancel for a little because of money). Absolutely love it there. Very empowering place where everyone is respectful and encouraging. The instructors are knowledgable and fun! Each class is new no matter how many times you go. One class started as a kickboxing class, but slowly turned into a self-defense class. The place is $89/month for unlimited cardio kickboxing classes, with a discount for UC Davis students. When you join, you get a pair of arm bandages and gloves for free. I've always wanted to try kickboxing so when I saw the groupon deal ($50 x 10 classes) I knew I had to get it! I'm so happy I did! The staff at Baciarini's Martial Arts are amazing! Starting with my first phone call inquiring about the program I felt very welcomed. They even sent me a welcome postcard, and the staff members are always checking on my progress or any concerns I may have. It's these little things that make coming here so great. The kickboxing class itself is so much fun!!! Definitely get an intense workout and class goes by so quick!! When you least expect it, you've been sweating for 45 minutes and you don't want it to stop! I definitely recommend it! This place changed my children for the better. They learn about the importance of discipline, self confidence, respect, hard work, and more. My boys love it! They only need to go twice a week but the small human would go every day if we had the time. The messages of the week are great and I always smile when they recite them or talk about the messages at the dinner table or with each other. If you want a full body toning class, I recommend that you try their kickboxing class. I purchased a groupon ($50 for 10 classes) to try out the kickboxing classes and I am very glad that I did. The groupon also came with a pair of boxing gloves. The class starts with a warm up (~15min) and then every student gets their punching bag. The instructor introduces the routine and you exercise with the punching bag for about 30 min. You end the class with a cool-down. I suggest you check it out and try different instructors to see who fits your work out style better. All of the staff is very nice and make you feel very welcomed (they even learn your name by your second time). read more

Purchased the cardio kickboxing groupon deal for 50 bucks. 10 classes which includes a pair of boxing gloves. This class is amazing! Great workout and totally worth the money. I've been going twice a week since I purchased the groupon and I love how energized I feel after. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They offer to meet with you to help you meet your goals and how you can make them happen. The instructors switch off for different classes but you'll often see them participate in the workout when someone else is leading the class. I love the environment and the motivation. Black Belt Excellence Everyday! By far the best Martial Arts school in Davis. Great experience for kids to adults. It is a great family atmosphere that is welcoming and honest. My oldest son started this school in 2006 after a bad experience at another school in the area and has been loving it ever since. My younger son started in 2009 and has grown to love the classes as much as his brother. Not to be left behind by my kids, I started training this year. We have made this a family activity and will continue our studies well beyond Black Belt. read more

I have a VERY girly daughter. The kind that prefers everything to be pink and bedazzled. She doesn't like to get sweaty and she's afraid of getting hurt. I wanted her to take the martial arts classes so that she could learn confidence and self defense. To my surprise and delight, she loves it ! They deserve 6 stars out of 5! This has been a great family place for adults and for kids! We signed up our son when he was 4, and it was so much fun and so engaging that by the time he turned 5, his little 3-year old sister also wanted to join. My husband joined also. The results were amazing! The kids love it! They cried on days we couldn't take them! The instructors seem to have a special talent to interact with kids and to teach them difficult sequences of elements in a fun and playful manner. The adult practice is intense and keeps you on your toes but you are learning a lot and keeping in good shape. Now they've also added Krav Maga elements to make their classical training even more practical for self-defense tools practiced until they can be done subconsciously should such need arise. They upkeep the family-oriented and team spirit through intramural competitions, on-stage performances, summer and other camps, and encouraging children to learn moral values. They are consistent in endorsing those values in all areas of the students' lives - they get special signs for integrity at school, in reading challenges and so forth. It literary becomes like, a second home for the kids! Finally, the management is very supportive, intuitive and understanding! We've bee down on our luck a couple times during our time with Baciarini's and they've always worked with us to best accommodate our situation. Two of my kids took lessons here and it was great. They (and I) loved the instructors who enforced respect and taught them how to be confident in themselves. They learned some good skills and had a lot of fun. Two things I didn't like: 1. It is really expensive ($150/mo per kid!) and you have to sign a 6 month contract. 2. They try to upsell you and push your kids to bring friends to try it out and then call the friend to try to get them to sign up. You can sign up through the City of Davis and it is much cheaper, but the city class does roughly the same stuff each time so after a few times the kids have already seen everything. Also, they can't test into different belts if they are in the city class. read more

The first visit was alright. They are real secretive about the pricing. I wonder why. Also, I repeatedly asked about who Mr. Baciarini is like his education and accomplishments and they are not fully open. The classes seem fun and the music is upbeat and nice. read more
