Boxing gloves are included when you sign up for the cardio kickboxing class!

I've always wanted to try kickboxing so when I saw the groupon deal ($50 x 10 classes) I knew I had to get it! I'm so happy I did! The staff at Baciarini's Martial Arts are amazing! Starting with my first phone call inquiring about the program I felt very welcomed. They even sent me a welcome postcard, and the staff members are always checking on my progress or any concerns I may have. It's these little things that make coming here so great. The kickboxing class itself is so much fun!!! Definitely get an intense workout and class goes by so quick!! When you least expect it, you've been sweating for 45 minutes and you don't want it to stop! I definitely recommend it! There's a few summer promotions (and groupon) if you want to try it out.

Nice air conditioned space. Great instructors. Family friendly environment.

This place changed my children for the better. They learn about the importance of discipline, self confidence, respect, hard work, and more. My boys love it! They only need to go twice a week but the small human would go every day if we had the time. The messages of the week are great and I always smile when they recite them or talk about the messages at the dinner table or with each other. I haven't even touched on the actual martial arts training. It has been great for their overall conditioning and strength. If you have been curious, go during one of their trial/buddy weeks that happen regularly. I can almost guarantee you or your child will want to join soon thereafter.

Free boxing gloves with GroupOn purchase. Pink hand wraps that I purchased.

My 7 year old and 9 year old both take Tae Kwon Do lessons at Rodness Martial Arts. Mr. Rodness is…read morehighly skilled in the disciplines he instructs, great with the kids, patiently teaches, keeps each class paced well, and refreshes each session with new ideas and activities. Belt testing is offered either every two months or quarterly and kids earn tips on their belts when they attend. He clearly values each child as an individual and gives personalized attention to each. He always ties in positive conversations with kids about how they can apply concepts of both in Tae Kwon Do or BJJ and at home (respect for parents, being kind to siblings, etc.). I love that our monthly tuition includes up to 3 sessions per week, we generally go twice a week, but sometimes we're there three times per week. My youngest (3 and a half) insists on staying and watching her older brothers practice- she can't wait to be part of the little dragons when she turns 4 in the summer. The schedule is super consistent each week, month and year which is also a huge plus for us as a busy family. It's available on the website https://rodnessmartialarts.com/schedule and kept up to date so we never have to worry about last minute changes or keeping track of anything. My 9 year old takes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) here which is convenient because he stays to take the class right after TKD. Mr. R is an extremely effective instructor in this discipline as well. The belt tests for both BJJ and TKD are both challenging and fun for the kids, they really look forward to it when it is time for belt testing and feel very proud when they earn their way to the next level. My kids add: "Mr. R is really nice, teaches us cool kicks, and teaches us how to tie our belts. He taught me how to even make a cool snap sound with my belt when I tie it" -(7 year old) "He's really kind and challenges me to be my best. I also like that he doesn't push me past my limit if I'm feeling frustrated and lets me take breaks if I need them." -(9 year old) Best way to get ahold of Mr. R is to email or drop into the studio between classes. I believe there are sign ups on the website as well, but if you contact him directly you can schedule a trial class. He offers special rates for siblings and often runs specials for sign ups. We've found the tuition reasonable compared to other studios in the area, especially considering the reliability of the schedule and value of the instruction. Our kids have greatly improved their flexibility, strength, and technique- we are very pleased.

Mr. Rodness has a teaching style that really connects with kids. He manages to balance discipline and encouragement in a way that keeps students motivated. What we appreciate most is that it is not just a martial arts school. The classes consistently reinforced focus, perseverance, accountability, and respect. Those lessons have carried over into school and every day life for our son. If you're looking for a place that develops confidence and character in addition to excellent martial arts skills, this is a fantastic environment. We're grateful to be part of the program and highly recommend it.

Excellent place to train. The absolute best…read more This school has decades of experience teaching effective, proven self defense for use on the street. From day one, the emphasis is on teaching "Real" movements using a "hands on" approach. Lots of hitting pads and doing things on the teacher to make sure you understand how it works. For the sport fighting (MMA) enthusiast, they teach "Shootfighting", a combination of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Jujitsu, Russian Sambo, and Catch wrestling. Not just 'Stand Up' and 'Ground' in separate classes, the "Shootfighting" integrates the two creating a much more well rounded fighter. The instructors are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. THERE ARE NO "KID" TEACHERS. All of the instructors are adults, and the adults and kids are taught separately in the group classes. If you are looking to train as a family or for training for you son/daughter, you will not find a better place. Instead of focusing on 'point fighting' and playing a 'game'. Kids build up their self esteem and confidence while learning real physical skills that will need if they are attacked. There is nothing worse than if a kid thinks he can defend his or herself only to get beat up (OR WORSE), because what they learned doesn't really work. I do know that there are quite a few CHP officers, Police, SWAT, as well as Correctional Officers from CMF training here as well as some of the other locations (and they are some of the coolest people to train with) If it is good enough for them an their families, it is good enough for mine.
