Extremely efficient and detail oriented, discussed scenarios for all the possible future outcomes, very pleasant in speaking with him. My 94 year old mother said he was very easy to speak with as well during her session. leaving her very pleased when we left. Everything was accomplished in 2 easy sessions with instructions on the homework we had between them. I felt very comfortable with the finished product and would highly recommend John to anyone looking for estate planning in addition to other attorney needs one may have.

When setting up the meeting I explained in very specific detail ALL family members needed and wanted to be involved 8n the meeting. Due to what we were trying to do and everyone being on the same page straight from the "horse's mouth" situation. It was agreed to by all, to include the legal office, up until the actual meeting. My father, brother and I were left waiting 35 mins on a dial in line and NO one came in to give us an update or status . The paralegal couldn't even say when my sister who was in person entered the room because she was "busy". They took my money, changed to rules, then left me out. They are not professional or trustworthy in my opinion.

I came to know her when she was helping a friend of mine whose husband had died of a heart attack at the age of 67, after having proclaimed that because of the number of things that he had to complete in his life, God would keep him alive until he was 95. When I had discussed life insurance with him when he was 65, he had told me that he didn't believe in it. When I asked why, he said that "Life insurance is betting that you are going to die." I told him that sounded like a pretty sure bet to me. I just brought this up to show what kind of "stabelizing" influence my friend had been living with. A husband whom she relied upon completely for everything, and had left her with no source of income, no life coping skills and pretty clueless. I tell you this because Ms. Tomita was able to help her get into a pretty comfortable living situation where she had no worries of ending up on the street.

Dealing with both was a terrible experience even though they both tried to convince me that it wasn't the whole time and I ended up being taken advantage of by people I paid to help me. They care about themselves and their paychecks first, and if your lucky, maybe they'll do something to help encourage fairness and not slip things into paperwork that they talk thru so you can't focus fully while your signing. Made many promises about actions or timelines which, in the fullness of time, were either disingenuous or unfulfilled. Allowed our case to languish for four years. I often felt gaslighted by his choice of interpretation of events which appeared to be selectively motivated to excuse routine canceled sharing, alienating tactics, unilateral parental decisions, etc. He articulated numerous troubling statements regarding his sense of the father's roles and timesharing. (IE. I should be grateful I had "so much more time[sharing] than so many other fathers", "the best thing you can do is walk away", and angrily telling me, "You can have one or four days [every two weeks], I don't care!") Too often he derided my intellectual ability to understand his decisions rather than provide meaningful insights. I found his leadership to be ineffectual and untimely for recurring childcare concerns. Ultimately, he discharged himself from our case and left my future parental involvement on behalf of my children in a precarious and disempowered state. If you are a father, I would not recommend his services as a Guardian Ad Litem. He was unwilling to value the idea of equal fatherly involvement or something on par with the mother's role in decisions for our children.
