We walked around a lot. It was the last day of the Christmas market. They had an ice skating rink. Some type of farmer's market with fruit and clothes and other random items. My son rode the Ferris wheel and they also had a carousel and a cute exhibit (maze, games, Santa). I will return when it's not as cold and take a boat tour! Very pretty city.

There is not too crowded comparing to other towns in Europe. It is easy walk... you won't kill your feet walking around here! There are many coffee shops and restaurants along the canal to relax and enjoy the beautiful town. Definitely worth to visit if you have a half day to spend while in Belgium.

Not sure if I felt it was the most memorable landmark, but it is impressive as other city squares throughout Belgium. You can visit the St. Nicholas Church and restaurants in the surrounding area. In a nutshell, historical site that's a good tourist grab and easy to just explore the walk ways and wander about the city.

Sometimes... You just want to brag about a city in general. A city makes the small business. When…read moreyou travel, you don't go some where, just for one restaurant or one bar. After being gone for a while, I always enjoy coming back to the city that i love and that i've born in. Wheter it's going to 't Eilandje to take a panoramic picture on top of the MAS or just strolling through the red light district with it's still vibrant nightlife. Or even as a inhabitant going to the Grand Place, take a picture of te Kathedral. Have mussels on one of the patios in the summer or heat up during the Christmas market around the city center. If you rather want to see new fashion, we can offer you a full district where you can find any style and even have a fashion museum. You like to be sen? Get over to 't Zuid and sit down on one the terraces and drink one (or more) of our famous beers Antwerp is still up and coming and as tourism is growing, more and more people will be attracted to this great city. Sometimes it can be difficult to find a nice bench to rest your weary feet after a long walk. This park fits the bill. Love the fountain, very relaxing. Nice try coverage for shade and plenty of open space. Just a nice spot.
