Here's my experience: I think their customer service sales associates need to be more knowledgeable of their products in the shop area and as well as in the showroom. Also when a sales associate is working with a customer who has sought out their assistance they should stay with that person from start to finish to attend to their wants and needs. The simply answer here is --- hire more qualified, well trained sales help since your inventory is beautiful in both light fixtures and furnishings. Your approach to serving the public is not up to par! You're store is much needed in the union county area as a brick and Mortar... why not do more to keep us coming back in to see, try, and feel your items!!!! Some of us don't like ordering on line!!!!! Please make corrections. Thank you

    I'm disenchanted with this store. I purchased $700 worth of lighting fixtures here a year ago for…read moremy kitchen renovation. The manager is the nicest guy you will ever meet. All was well until the lighting units began to short out after less than a year. The sockets were burning out because the factory-supplied halogen bulbs get too hot. This is a design defect, I'm not blaming the store, although they denied knowing about any such problem with these units. When I ordered the needed replacement parts from Manhattan Lighting, the manager charged my credit card immediately, but did not tell me that he only places an order with this distributor once a month. So, weeks went by, and wondering what was going on, I called, and then the store manager admitted that my order was not submitted because he needed to accrue $12,000 worth of orders to get his desired price-break discount, and mine was only the first. Frustrated, I found an online supplier (Lumens.com), and did a "live chat". While putting me on hold for one minute, the associate phoned the manufacturer directly, then had the parts delivered to me within a week (for $32 each vs. $43 each that ML charged me). This is a perfect example of why internet shopping is putting brick-and-mortar stores out of business. Now that I no longer need them, my replacement parts finally arrived at Manhattan Lighting seven weeks after I ordered them. Lame, misleading customer service, and, for me, the price of an education.

    I HIGHLY recommend this company!! Everything from start to finish was perfect…read more We called another electrician, left a message but never got a call back (which, from what I understand is normal). We found KB Electric online and decided to give them a try. The phone was answered immediately by Alicia who was so helpful, listened to what we needed done and set up an appointment for us immediately, which we were so grateful for. The electric wire going into the house was hanging very low and we realized the attachment on the house (for lack of a better explanation) was hanging off the house. Alicia asked us to send photos and I did with a comment" didn't realize how bad it was". Her response was "I've seen worse" so right off the bat she made me feel better. She asked if we wanted her to send someone to give us a quote, but we didn't want to waste time on that so said no. She quoted us how much it would be per hour (+ materials) and we were very happy with the final price (we felt very reasonable). The 2 electricians were here at 8:30 on a day when it was below 20 degrees!! They did a great job and were in/out in a little over an hour. So happy to know that if we need electrical work done in the future, we have a place to call!!

Hector explained every step throughly so I could understand what was done. Courteous and respectful!! They installed a ceiling fan box and light fixture. They cleaned so well that I couldn't even tell they were here!! Highly recommend!!!!

    Placed an online order for an item. Never received a confirmation email. Strike 1…read more A week goes by and my credit card authorization hasn't turned into a charge and still no email so i call. Was told that the product just arrived at the warehouse and would be shipped out that day. Strike 2 -- dont show an item as in stock if you didn't already have it in stock. Two days later, still no email or tracking info, so I have to call again. Strike 3. This time was told by a different guy that my order was refunded because it was out of stock. But I check online and the product is showing as in stock still with a price 2x what I paid (now in line with the rest of the online sphere's pricing) -- idk how many strikes to count for these events but it would be several. Why am I being lied to? Why have I had to reach out every time instead of proactive communication from the retailer? Why was my purchase price not honored like any good retailer would? On top of that, the guy I spoke to the second time offered to have the guy from call #1 contact me as he was the one running point on all this of this and of course I never received a call. Bunch of lying cowards at the fulfillment department of this company. Everything you dont want in a customer experience. Would never spend a dime supporting a business like this.
