This might be the most unique food on the peninsula…read more Recommended by our host, we were the only non-locals in this agriturismi spot, where the meat, dairy, produce and wine are all sourced on the property...the goat and cow barns are within 100' of the front door. Starters included squash blossom filled with ricotta, beef muzzle with olives, and an antipasti spread of meats and cheeses. Entrees included a terrific homemade pasta with zucchini, and a mixed meat plate with sausage, pork steak, chicken breast and beef steak...all great! Have it with the freshest salad you'll ever eat (and a great palate cleanser between bites) instead of the fries. For dessert don't miss the panna cotta, tiramisu, or the homemade liqueurs. We ate like kings and were shocked at the tab: EU40.50. We've had far lesser meals for more than twice that. Seems to open at 8:30p for dinner, so not for early diners, but well worth the effort to get to the farm. This is a place worth going well out of your way to enjoy. We will again!

My group swooned over a simple starter of good bread, vegetables, cheese, and croquettes. Every item stood out and complemented the entire plate. A family owned farm with gracious, welcoming staff. A dinner I will not forget.

I looked over the menu. From LE PIZZE section, I ordered a singola 30 cm, which was for one person DA FRANCO.....................................................................................euro 10,00. It was Mozzarella, Pomodorini, Rucola e scaglie di grana, which was Fresh tomato, mozzarella, rocket salad and grana cheese flackes. We were given free Pizzeria da Franco ACQUA NATURALE. It was great. I was surprised at how big the DA FRANCO was. Each topping looked vibrant. It was as great as it looked. I enjoyed every bite of it. The service was solid. I didn't have any issues. Overall, it was worth the stop. I would go again if I'm in the area. Date of visit: 25-03-2025

Da Franco Pizza ended up being one of the best surprises of my trip to Sorrento and Italy in…read moregeneral. We stumbled in after some late nights out, and it was a total lifesaver, open until 3-4am when basically nothing else happened in town is. Honestly, it turned out to be some of the best pizza I've had in my life. Maybe it was the drinks talking, but I don't think so. We went back two nights in a row just to be sure. First night I had the Diavolo pizza spicy, crispy, perfectly balanced. Second night I tried the Cacio e Pepe pizza, which was rich and cheesy in the best way possible. Both were phenomenal. The vibe is awesome too. Inside feels almost like a big beer hall with tons of energy, while outside has more of a casual café feel. Even at 2-3 in the morning, the staff was super attentive and chill. We even had a bottle of wine with our pizzas one night, which made for the perfect nightcap. If you're in Sorrento and find yourself out late, or even if you're just craving amazing pizza, DeFranco is an absolute must. One of the greatest finds I've come across anywhere.

I was told Italians eat dinner really late. I concur with that. It was late and after a day of…read moretraveling, sleep was more important than eating hence missing "dinner time" by U.S. standards. So we just started walking looking for what was open and after talking to some locals - we were told this place had the best pizza around! This place packed up quickly at 8:30 p.m. We were lucky enough to score a table for two in their outdoor dining area. Tables were prepped quickly by changing out the paper "tablecloth" and dinnerware put out. Our orders were taken rather quickly and before you know it, viola! Two pizzas appeared so quickly and still piping hot! Napoli pizza tends to have a thinner crust with a "thicker" traditional crust. I love it! I didn't feel like I was eating a loaf of bread with my pizza. I tend to go vegetarian when traveling and my pizza was topped with fresh mushrooms, local cheese and tons of veggies. Absolutely loved how the topping wasn't too overwhelming that it weighed down the thin crust. Great proportion and very flavorful. Service was really good and you can tell by the patrons whizzing by via motorcycles, by foot, car and bike that this place was really popular by the locals and tourist. Great service and we were quite entertained by the young Aussies sitting by us. This place was not fancy at all...just solid good food! We didn't even see the sign - we just figured this place must be good because look at the crowd at 8:30 pm!! This sits at a corner flanked by a produce store. We'd come back and highly recommend to friends and family who visit this area. When in doubt - go where the locals go.
