Upon walking in the place, you are greeted with a coffee roasting machine that is humming away doing its magic on some Sumatran beans (they roast their beans in-house daily). The staff are always super friendly and the place is my number one pick (pun intended) for a coffee while shopping at Westfield or when a caffeine hit is needed before boarding a bus to Bronte. The place itself is nicely decorated with comfy lounge style chairs if you feel like having a pastry or sandwich with your beverage (yep they'll satisfy mild hunger pangs too). To add to the atmosphere, the walls are adorned with coffee information and shots of the owner in action preparing syphon coffee and other various coffee related acts. Thankfully it was part of quite abundant yet lacklustre affogato, which for $5 in Bondi Junction was quite reasonable. The atmosphere is awesome despite being small and tucked up in a sidestreet that you wouldn't choose to walk down on unless you knew this place was there. The staff is friendly and the service fast. The takeaway here: Sydney doesn't cater to Italians and other espresso drinkers. This place is no exception but it's quite a nice and cheap alternative to the thousands of coffee shops that already exist.

This is Balmain; cafes do get crowded so some space is allowed and much needed. The coffee is superb; yet I won't be coming back to this religion in a hurry as the service is just okay; nothing spectacular. Maybe if the staff go on some customer service training, and they open up the space a little more; then most definitely I will give this establishment more of a chance. There is an abundance of choice for coffee in Balmain and Rozelle (let alone in the city nearby) that great customer service and great coffee must go hand in hand. Life is short. Not coming back to this establishment in a hurry, and sadly as well. Maybe if they also got rid of the initial counter service (hey, the latter is also a bit of a turnoff at Rosebud too) and provided full table service; although I don't want to be a business consultant again: it would be a recommendation that should be taken seriously in enhancing the customer experience, and making it more positive in my eyes.

Perfect for a coffee or a bite to eat, pre or post beach visit. This cosy cafe is popular with locals and visitors alike. Serving the ever popular Campos Coffee with Single origin varieties from Guatamala and Columbia. The staff are very friendly, on first name basis with many visitors and chatting to the customers as they wait for their take away coffees. The menu caters to people wanting to dine in or those in a rush after a quick bite on the run. There are a range of cookies, cakes and sandwiches. There are all day breakfast options including chia, pudding and granola. We ordered ricotta on toast. Served on sour dough from brasserie bread with cinnamon and honey on top, simple and tasty. The also do a range of healthy bowl options. We ordered the tuna bowl. The flavour was nice, the bowl made with a mix of quinoa, almonds, sunflower seeds carrot kale and tuna all mixed together with two eggs on top. Hi, the Cafe Manager charged me $150 extra on my coffee order. I went in after music class with my…read moremother and my two year old daughter. I called them and gave them the benefit of the doubt it was a genuine error. They asked me to physically come back to the store for the refund. I've never been treated so poorly but a cafe or any business. They made me wait, and said they were too busy to deal with my request. I had to articulate (loudly) that I'm waiting on their error. They then blamed me three times for telling them the wrong date and amount and they can't confirm. Once the charge was found they refused to refund the money because they couldn't confirm it was me. The Cafe Manager was rude, defensive and aggressive. I left upset and embarrassed by the whole scenario. They have no email to communicate. I will have to escalate to the Ombudsman, because they've my money and refused to refund. I'm most upset because they've ruined my Saturday mornings where I go to music class with my little girl and we have a babyccino and coffee after.

The business owners Alexandra & her step-mother Cinzia Agrillo. They are passionate in preparing meals with home made ingredients with an Italian influence and they sure will take care of you. Sit outside with your dog or inside in the warm and homely environment, you'll surely feel part of their family. I went here with my insta friend Judy and were were certainly looked after and shared an array of their delicious meals. We started off with some in store made spelt cracker made with olive oil, sesame seeds, linseed, chia seeds, sunflower and pepita seeds. They tasted buttery and morish. I wish they delivered to my house on a regular basis! We dipped these in a variety of dips; babaghanoush, tzatiki, and hummus. Omelettes, bruschetta, granola, big breakfast, baked eggs - they have something for everyone. Who can go by a weekend brunch without French Toast - a generous serving of this sweet meal topped with marscapone, maple syrup, and a berry syrup, it worked well together and not to mention beautiful! We also tried a lunch option and we were in store for an awesome burger: soft milk bun, swiss cheese, caramelised onion, lettuce, tomato, with a delicious and beautifully cooked homemade beef pattie with house sauce and baked potato wedges. The wedges were so crispy and I like that they were baked - they tasted so good! There's also a veggie burger, bacon or cheeseburger if you prefer. They also offer salads, paninis, lasagne and sliders too. For drinks we tried the Italian hot chocolate - a thick dark decadent hot chocolate, topped with edible flowers, so rich and beautiful! We also had a latte, compete with latte art and shared a brewed chai. They have a range of loose leafed teas and milkshakes. When we thought we were finished, we were lucky to sample a variety of their home made pastries, brownies, carrot cake and more. You can certainly tell the difference when the food is freshly made in store - soft and pillowy and we loved these! In fact we took some home for later! They also offer gelato for those of you that love that sweet hit. The lovely ladies were so hospitable to everyone coming in and we loved our visit. They gave us a little goody bag of a variety of salts to take home and use. They sell these in store.
