Flight - 3 wine by the glass for $20
    Suzie Z.

Super unique shop selling all sorts of wines from the LATAM region. I got to try out the Uruguayan garzon white wine and sparkling wine which are part of the 3 glasses for $20 combo. Will be back to try out other wine by the glass with friends.

Inside La Cosecha, a market for Latin and South American makers, is a small wine shop and bar selling bottles from Latin and South America. Prices are written directly on bottles with a gold or silver marker and most bottles cost around $20. If you need recommendations, the staff are always helpful. They also sell some grab-and-go food and drinks like a tasty sangria from Spain.

Look, they're fine if you don't get the sangria. The sangria is an abomination. ABOMINATION.

Really nice selection. Wine club is so affordable compared to local peers. Staff are very knowledgeable (thanks Julio!). I love visiting.

Service was great-- the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I had the featured wine flight, then split a bottle of champagne with my friend. (2 out of 5 stars)…read more This is a difficult review to write because the Sonoma Cellar used to be one of my favorite spots in Old Town Alexandria. I was aware the ownership had changed some time ago, but this was my first opportunity to return and see how things had kind of evolved. The good news is that they are pet friendly, which allowed us to bring our puppy, Chewie. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The service was painfully, excruciatingly slow. The staff members were polite though, and genuinely trying to help, but they simply appeared unprepared. When we asked for recommendations or information related to the wines, we received very little guidance. One gentleman eventually admitted that he was just filling in and didn't really know the wines at all. Understandable, but not the experience I was going for. The water bottle for the table served to us was room temperature, which felt odd, especially on a hot day while sitting outdoors. The wine tasting was a major disappointment compared to what Sonoma Cellar used to offer, and the overall wine selection appeared to me at least, noticeably smaller than I remembered. I was also disappointed to discover that Sonoma Cellar has adopted the increasingly common practice of adding a 3% credit card surcharge. I didn't notice any clear disclosure beforehand, and these types of fees always leave a bad impression. I know I'm a bit picky with those, but still. The establishment was likely dealing with staffing issues on the day we visited, but the overall experience felt like a shadow of what this place used to be. What used to be one of my favorite wine stops in Old Town has clearly diminished in both service and selection. We left disappointed and, sadly, don't expect to return. Chewie agreed.

My daughter had so much fun with the employees and other kiddos! I opted to sit downstairs which is louder, but there is a quiet work/study space upstairs for additional cost. Before we left I also ordered food to go from Shorty's Deluxe. Childcare and food all in one Highly recommend Mulberry Lane for all the parents!

But Mulberry Lane is a notch above bc not only is it a play cafe but there is staff there to watch your lils while you get to go elsewhere within the building whether that's in the lil tables visibly nearby or in one of their neighboring and partnering restaurants. I'd toootally get my kids memberships if we lived nearby. Since we probably would only go weekends for an hour or two, I'm glad there are the options for one time pay or multi hour passes for future use. Since we weren't sure if we'd be back, we gave it a try for one hour. Prices may change but our first time was $18 per child per hour. This may seem high for only one hour, but my kids had fun and my hour without worrying about them or being interrupted was very productive so it was worth it. Staff are friendly. I only wished they had gluten free options for the kiddos to enjoy after their play. Guess we can bring our own next time! :)

The waitress was wonderful and allowed us to eat outside as long as we also purchased food from their menu. Sure no problem I'll take the $10 olives....even though we planned on ordering a bottle of wine. The service was lovely, wine was delish, olives were olives. EXCEPT when the check comes and there is a $20 dollar open bottle fee that was never told To you. When we asked they simply said well it's on our menu. So our $30 bottle of wine now cost us $50. What a freaking rip off. This should be reiterated by the waitress when ordering to ensure customers are aware. I had just said to my fiancé that I will definitely come back... however after that shit no way. I'll go buy a bottle from the store next time and eat my damn pizza at home. Bad business motto for sure.. no wonder we were the only ones in there.

I have never seen anyone else do this at any restaurant before, I have learnt so much about American cheese. Avocado toast and lamb shack are some of my other favorites! Overall awesome spot! We sampled: +Trueman Vineyards - literally my favorite - their mulled wine was warm and delicious, and super perfect for the fall season! +Boordy Vineyards - the Chambourcin Merlot was smooth with a slight cherry taste +Narcisso Wine Cellar - they had a nice selection of both whites and reds +Rose Garden Wines - featured their red I absolutely LOVED Bobby McKey's, the dueling piano bar (that was mobile!), that played live at the festival - they were amazing! I loved the variety of food trucks that were parked at the perimeter of the festival - there was Caribbean, crepes, sandwiches, Cinnabon, Mexican, and more! Parking was free and ample at the Outlets!
