For entrees we got the pork chop and the halibut. The pork chop was a decent sized potion and cooked PERFECTLY. The halibut was smooth as butter but wasn't a very large entree, so I wouldn't recommend if you are super hungry, but if you're not, it's very flavorful and delicate! We then ordered the banana bread, bread pudding to go and ate it when we got home. It was also 10/10! Overall, it was a very nice, elegant experience. I would recommend for special occasions!

The cocktail was very balanced and refreshing - totally worth $21. I just wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu and lighter fare (smaller steak portions). I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. It's absolutely worth checking out.

There was also pistachio ice cream this year with the Greek sour cherry spread on top reminiscent of what I'd enjoy when I travel to Greece. The parking lot does tend to fill up pretty quick so folks can do street parking, and they have volunteered directing crowds as well.

It's pretty tiny but somehow we ended up spending about 4 hours here, mostly because of my kids. There is a small indoor portion in the church, where there are various vendors mostly selling women's jewelry. That is about 80% of the vendors at least when I visited in 2025. There was a stand selling great olive oil and olives (both of which I purchase) and a stand selling the delicious Greek desserts I basically ate every day while I lived in Astoria, Queens (one of the largest Greek communities in the US). The ladies at the bakery were so friendly, even offering my son a cookie for free (and of course he takes the entire box!). Outside, there is another bakery (with about 4 times the size of the line), and other food stalls. We got a lamb gyro with tzatziki and it was out of this world. There is a tent with music, where some people were dancing and an occasional singer or band would rotate in and out. Also in the tent was a drink vendor where my partner and I enjoyed a glass of white wine on a very hot day. The kids were drawn to the bouncy houses, which included some traditional ones and a blow up slide. It cost $10 per child for use all day. They certainly got their money's worth! There was a sign for face painting and pony rides but I did not see either and the ladies working the desk didn't know when or if they'd actually show up. Overall, a very relaxing spot. Don't expect a huge festival but a relaxed afternoon out or evening. There is also a lovely flower vendor that is a nice place to wander or buy flowers for the spring.

My husband and I are frequent guests at the Wine Junction. We love the wine selection that the place has to offer, from crisp whites to bold reds and everything in between. The store manager was incredibly patient with us, even though we probably stayed way too long talking about the cheeses we wanted to try and reading through their recommended pairings pamphlet. She was so knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions, and even mentioned that they could specialty order anything that might be out of stock for us. Because you can buy their cheese by the 1/4lb, we ended up mixing and matching a selection of five different cheeses and a few cured meats to sample. Everything was absolutely delicious, and they have some really unique flavors available. The wild ramp alpine cheddar was so different to anything I had before, and the truffle manchego cheese was completely packed with so much truffle. The shop is currently celebrating their 10 year anniversary, and I can absolutely see why. Between the incredibly friendly, helpful service and a thoughtfully curated selection of artisanal goods, it's no surprise this business is thriving. This will definitely be my new go-to spot for gifts!

Vienna Vintner is a cute European looking line standing building across from big shopping plazas. It's built like a tavern with a partial loft/second floor upstairs with seating. The space is divided into a "tasting room" on the right and a wine store on the left. They apparently have wine tastings on the regular (I've been missing out!) Overall a really friendly place that's relaxed and pleasant. We were given a tour and helped immediately. We ended up winning an award for one of our wine choices, so these recommendations really hit the mark! Will definitely be back. I was also surprised by how affordable these wines are. I wasn't expecting to find any wines under $25 but ended up seeing quite a few in the $15 range. They also gave us a generous discount.

After doing some research online, DCanter came up over and over so I decided to check it out. The space is quaint, but well organized and they've arranged all the wines on the main wall from lighter to fuller body - a really interesting way to lay things out that I imagine would be quite helpful if you aren't familiar with specific regions or varietals because wines that are similar in body and structure, regardless of the region or specific varietal(s) used will be grouped together on the wall. That does mean if you're looking to find all of the cru Beaujolais that you Fleurie is going to be quite far away from Moulin-a-Vent or Morgon. A bulk of the wines were in the $20-50 range, so really affordable. The challenge is that the market is full of $20 wines that are absolute garbage, but thankfully the selection here has been well curated and represents a lot of smaller producers in perhaps lesser known regions where the wines offer an exceptional quality to price ratio. I believe there's also a smaller wall of wines under $20, as well as a back room with some more premium options. Michelle, one of the owners, was extremely friendly and helpful and can get you sorted, regardless of your level of wine knowledge. She also gave me some great recommendations of wine bars! They also do themed tastings and wine classes, which sound really fun but unfortunately did not line up with our visit. Whether you live in the DC area or are visiting, it's worth checking out DCanter next time you're in need of a bottle or two.
