There is no pressure if you don't want to see their financial person unlike many other estate agents. The staff showed us around several properties very efficiently and answered all of our questions really well. They always courtesy call afterwards to see how we found the property and booking more viewings was never a problem. They always met us on time. We would definitely sell our home with KT after receiving such good service when buying.

We rented out…read morethe whole flat so we didn't have to share the communal/kitchen facilities with other guests. The flats were great, very clean, well presented and comfortable. The staff were great and very helpful (especially when we didn't know our way around the city). There is a maintenance guy on site so if you have any problems he was always there to help. If we ever come to Liverpool again in the future we would stay at Victoria Hall Liverpool again.

The grounds in which the halls are set are fantastic there is a large lake, an array of greenery as well as basketball,football and tennis courts (so great for the sporty types). Unfortunately the halls themeselves aren't great they are often freezing cold due to the single glazing on the windows and I found the self catered kitchen to be dingy and the bathrooms quite grotty to be perfectly honest. Infact it seemed to me that facilities for food preparation were far better in catered accommodation than self- catered despite the fact they do not need to prepare their own food. The wardens on sight were less than friendly, upon losing my key I was told that as my room had a different lock to that of others I would have to pay for a locksmith to visit the sight and change my locks rather than pay the standard £10 fee to replace my key. As well as being angry that I was being punished for something beyond my control I became even more incensed that the warden told me all this with a smug grin on his face and on the whole he was far from helpful. The repairs in the halls would either take an extreme amount of time to complete or they were not done at all. Derby and Rathbone Halls is adquate enough and the grounds are beautiful however they really could do with the staff adopting a friendlier and more helpful attitude.

This is where serviced apartments come in very handy. They give you the space you need and lets you relax a little bit more than a hotel. After all, no one's coming knocking at 8am to try and clean... Staycity is located on Duke Street, so mere moments away from Liverpool One and parallel to Bold/Lever/Seel/Fleet, where you'll find a hub of independent activity. It's easy to find and makes it very easy to pop back during the day and drop off your shopping bags if required! Service from the front desk staff was super friendly throughout our stay. As it's 24 hours, they're always there if you need something, and both check in and check out were very simple. Noise wasn't a huge issue whilst staying as, although we could hear people in the hallway, you couldn't hear anything above or either side of you. We also managed to avoid actually seeing anyone other than the front desk staff during our stay, which made it feel a bit more like home! The apartment itself was nice, with a twin room and sofa bed, and kitchen area with fridge, washing machine etc. The kitchen itself was well equipped enough, though there was no baking tray which proved slightly difficult at one point. The bathroom was a nice size though the smell of bleach was really overpowering when we first arrived and didn't exactly fade during our stay. The courtyard is currently under construction so there wasn't exactly an excellent view, though the weather wasn't balcony-ready anyway! There are many benefits to this particular serviced apartment but I think the price would keep many people away. The hotel scene in Liverpool isn't great at the best of times, with even the Premier Inn and the like coming out as too expensive for many, and I don't think Staycity will be changing that any time soon.

If the impression they give is any indication of the service they offer they are very much to be avoided. It is never appropriate to be rude to a customer. I had a list of properties to make appointments to view and gave them the incorrect details. I was dismissed with quite shocking rudeness. When I called the London offices to complain the contrast could not have been more stark. They were polite, clear, attentive and very much concerned.

The other agent never kept me up to date on any viewing that had taken place at my property. I then approached Temples in Chester, who are in a different league compared to the national chain i was using. Simon for the Temples Office came to meet me at the property who was very polite and professional. Temples than had my property up on line with a lot better photos and much better description, my property was then let out with in two weeks and had £25.00 extra pcm the other agent was marketing it for for the last 4 month.

I lived here its inaugural year and also my first year of university, and I would love to do it…read moreover. I'll go into detail but all in all: The Electra is not at all worth the exorbitant price. The staff: First and foremost, the staff is disappointing at best. They made it seem as though we would have on-site staff, and provided that for approximately the first two weeks, but since then there has been one person here for two hours per day on weekdays (12-1 and 4-5). These hours are ridiculous. I'm an international student and quickly learned the hard way I couldn't receive packages (parcels) as I was in school and the building has no way of collecting them. This became frustrating many times throughout the year as I prefer to buy most things online with student discounts (Amazon Student is a lifeline!). Another reason this is ridiculous is because, as they have to drive here from somewhere else, they charge £36 to unlock your door. Not to replace the key or something logical...to unlock the door. The doors here have no way of remaining unlocked. If I go to check the laundry and forget my key inside my room, it sets me back £36. Also, if you want to use a vacuum or iron from reception, it is only available during those two hours, five days a week. As a student, I'm generally at school in those hours. Not much time to vacuum the space. The amenities: There are two washers and dryers for all of the occupants in the building. It's not very realistic. It costs about £5 per load, and clothing is consistently still very wet. I understand the latter part is more to do with the laundry providers, but having only two dryers means consistently waiting for available space. Other: The rooms come with TVs, but not the license. The stoves were apparently illegal for some reason, and therefore they had to come replace them all this past month. There were a lot of little things like that which were inconvenient. I understand this was the first year The Electra was open, but Downing manages several other properties, which put me under the illusion they knew what they were doing. Compared to the accommodations many of my friends stayed at for much less, they had better experiences and felt they got what they paid for. I did not. The building I'm moving into this year with friends (as is the case with numerous other student accommodations around Liverpool) costs less for the same square footage, and also has a gym and cinema. The Electra markets itself to international students, and I've come to find that's likely due to the lack of value for the cost.

Can hardly open the only window in the room. There was a box of a fan in the room, but we were told it was left by the previous clients and the hotel did not provide with fans. I wonder how the rooms are cleaned. We had no sleep, no discount and though we were told somebody from management would contact us, we are still waiting. I strongly do not recommend.

The complimentary, included breakfast is great and a huge help to students watching their budget.. fresh fruit and pastries daily. The room amenities are superb. The in room kitchen surpassed our expectations. Security was a concern for us and it was one of the better quality accommodations that offered full, secure access to the building and 24 hour staff. Big deal for parents and students. You couldn't ask for a better location for students. Grocery stores within walking distance, the social and food scene of Bold Street steps away. Walking distance to all the major shops, universities and cultural icons of Liverpool, train and bus station. The staff is what really made the difference and made this the best choice for us. They're more like a family and always looking out for the residents. They even threw a little impromptu birthday party for my daughter when they found out it was her birthday. Knowing my daughter is in this building with this level of quality and this amazing staff makes her being away at school and far from home so much easier. I can honestly say I sleep better knowing she's in this building. I would live here myself if they let parents move in!
